Don't Know Whom to Choose for Dating? Here Are 7 Reasons to Date a Russian Girl by Sindyy(f) : 9:06 am On Jul 27

Finding a perfect girl for dating has become more difficult nowadays. Some are too busy to build a career as soon as possible, the others prefer non-committed relationships, and the last ones are too obsessed with themselves. What would you do if you heard that perfect girls exist today? Would you not believe us? Well, you should. They live in Russia and they are off to the races. Need some proofs? Here are 7 reasons you should date a Russian girl.

1. Faithfulness. Russian girls are taught to respect serious relationships since childhood. Their loyalty to men is endless. Cheating and promiscuity is a rare phenomenon among the Russian girls, so if you are tired of endless betrayal, pay attention to these ladies. In your turn, you also have to be faithful and trustworthy; otherwise, your relationships are doomed.

2. Femininity. Russian women care a lot about their appearance, regardless of their marital status. They always look fantastic no matter where they are and they know how to represent themselves to men. Gorgeous haircut, teasing dresses, skinny jeans, skirts, and feminine accessories are the part of their everyday image.

3. Beauty. Every western man knows the legends about Russian girls’ beauty. Their appearance is beyond compare, which helps them to stand out among the rest of women in the world. In addition, they know to emphasize their uniqueness and don’t feel shame for that like most of western women who are touched by feminism. Be careful, you can experience an extreme jealousy when dating such a beauty at http://ift.tt/2rnN0XB.

4. Intelligence. Russia, as well as other Slavic countries, is famous for its well-read citizens. It is also popular and common to get an academic education after school for both boys and girls. Being uneducated is a huge disgrace for Russians, and women are not an exception. They are taught to be versatile, it is common for Russian girls to visit different courses and develop their skills, and finally, they read a lot. This makes them perfect interlocutors, which deserves a great honor. However, they never show off with their sophisticated erudition and don’t show they are smarter than their men. They are aware of the fact men don’t like extremely intelligent girls. But don’t think they will date a silly man!

5. Sophisticated Skills in Housewifery. Russian girls are good cookers and they tend to keep their houses clean and cozy. This is because they are family oriented, and a house is a center of happiness. They aspire to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere for relatives as their mothers and grandmothers always did. But notice, she won’t bear the indecent attitude to these skills. She is a woman first of all, not a housemaid.

6. Purposefulness. Women in Russia are family oriented indeed. However, most of them dream of building a career or at least applying much of their professional skills. Not all of them enjoy sitting at home 24/7 and cook dishes (but you know they can!) so they do their best to prove their professional reputation. They are great in combining housekeeping and work.

7. Sociability and Nice Sense of Humor. Russian girls are cheerful and life loving. They rarely focus on the negative and appreciate men with a good sense of humor, as they are good jokers themselves. As being hospitable and openhearted, Russian women are very attractive and they come together easily. Although a foreign humor may be difficult for her to comprehend, be sure they your friends and family will have a great pleasure when they meet your girlfriend from Russia. You will be much surprised with her positive view of life. Try J4L dating and get a perfect girlfriend.

Peace Corps: “We Only Lobbied Senators, We Didn’t Bribe Them” by Sindyy(f) : 10:23 pm On Aug 02

The promoters of Nigerian Peace Corps have said they carried out ‘intense lobbying’ of lawmakers before they rammed through a bill that seeks to upgrade their non-governmental organisation into a federal law enforcement agency.

PREMIUM TIMES reported Saturday that members of the Peace Corps, led by its national commandant, Dickson Akoh, bribed lawmakers with job slots and cash reward to secure votes needed to pass the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill.

The Senate approved the harmonised version of the controversial bill on Tuesday, despite deep scepticism from its own committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters that the proposed para-military agency offers virtually no unique service to the public.

In a statement to PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday, the group’s spokesperson, Milicent Umoru, denied any illicit motives on the part of the Peace Corps and lawmakers prior to the passage of the bill.

“In advanced democracies of the world, people lobby legislators to pass bills,” Ms. Umoru said. “And that is exactly what Dr. Akoh and those who believe in the nobility of this project did.”

The spokesperson said purported enemies of the Peace Corps erroneously tagged the pressure her organisation mounted on senators as “bribery.”

Ms. Umoru, however, failed to explain if offering cash to lawmakers while promising them other favours was an acceptable component of lobbying in a decent society.

Moreover, Ms. Umoru said promoters of the Peace Corps will remain resolute in their pursuit of presidential assent to the bill, although she did not highlight unique impacts a nationalised Peace Corps would engender for the country.

Questions about why a country crippled by fiscal challenges occasioned by a bloated civil service would need another paramilitary department even as existing ones become increasingly exorbitant to run have continued to pop up.

David Umaru, the committee chairman who was mandated by the Senate to look into the significance of the Nigerian Peace Corps Bill, delivered a scathing review of the paramilitary group when he laid the findings of his committee before the Senate Tuesday.

“The powers, functions, e.t.c., of the Peace Corps ?call for concern and this committee would wish that they are subjected to further examination,”Mr. Umaru, APC-Niger East, said.

But Ms. Umoru said Mr. Umaru was only expressing his opinion, mocking the senator for being in the minority.

“Umaru is entitled to his opinion as guaranteed by the Constitution,” Ms. Umoru said. “But thank God, in a democracy, while the minority may have their say, the majority will certainly have their way.”

Ms. Umoru also dismissed an observation by Mr. Umaru that the Peace Corps in Nigeria had departed from the principles of its sister organisation in the United States.

“Nigerian Peace Corps, though patterned after its America counterpart, its current proactive leadership under Dr Akoh has positively redefined its concept to suit our local environment,” she said.

Mr. Akoh, 43, started the Peace Corps in Nigeria in 1994, running it for four years until 1998 when he formally registered it as a non-governmental organisation.

Amongst the objectives of the organisation were capacity building for youth creativity and intervention; capacity building for youth development and empowerment in agriculture; and peace education and conflict resolution.

According to documents from the Office of the National Security Adviser, Mr. Akoh originally named his group Nigerian Leadership and Marshall Corps when he first floated it in 1994.

In the ensuing years, the former Nigerian Army cadet officer, gave his group different names until he finally settled on the Nigerian Peace Corps in 1998.

Afterwards, Mr. Akoh began mobilising the youth for different paramilitary missions across the country.

The organisation told PREMIUM TIMES earlier this year it had no fewer than 113,000 regular officers and volunteers scattered across its formations in the 36 states of the federation ?and Abuja.

But existing security agencies and the Ministry of Interior, under which a nationalised Peace Corps would be domiciled, refused to warm up to the group.

The security agencies, especially the State Security Service and the police, warned that the Peace Corps could prove detrimental to the country’s national security because the organisation was founded by disgruntled ex-servicemen who were either compulsorily retired or dismissed from service.

At a House committee hearing during consideration of the bill, the Office of the Head of Service (HoS) said several government agencies with similar mandates as Peace Corps already exist and listed the Ministry of Youth Development and Ministry of Employment, Labour and Productivity and Ministry of Environment as examples.

Other existing law enforcement agencies include: Ministry of Education, Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, National Orientation Agency, National Poverty Eradication Programme and, National Directorate of Employment. The list is far from being exhausted, the head of service said.

Consequently, the HoS urged lawmakers to consider “the implications of the proposed creation of Nigerian Peace Corps on the cost of governance and duplication of duties of existing agencies.”

Law enforcement agencies have taken measures against the Peace Corps since at least 2003 when the State Security Service arrested Mr. Akoh and shut down his offices across the country.

He resumed operation in 2007. But when the SSS clamped down on his organisation again, he launched a civil lawsuit which has dragged since then.

This year alone, the police have detained Mr. Akoh at least twice.

At the first incident, armed officers from police, SSS and the Nigerian Army stormed the head office of the Peace Corps and took Mr. Akoh and more than 40 others into custody.

The head office was also shut by the police, and has not been reopened ever since.

But in her statement Sunday, Ms. Umoru said the agencies “are either ignorant of the core mandate of the Corps arising out of sheer misinformation or they willingly elected to be on the same page with those who have sworn on their grandfathers’ graves to serve as undertakers for the Corps.”

Meanwhile, the man amid the storm, Mr. Akoh ,also said he will not be intimidated by the “false allegations”, saying his organisation will remain focused on its mission to give a decent future to Nigerian youth through law enforcement and community service.

My Son Is Not Interested In Politics – Bukola Saraki by Sindyy(f) : 2:55 am On Aug 05

Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has ruled out the possibility of his son participating in the governorship race in Kwara in 2019.

He said at the News Agency of Nigeria Forum in Abuja that it was untrue that his son was being groomed as the next governor of the state.

According to Mr. Saraki, the boy is not interested in politics.

“That is not in the offing at all; I am sure he doesn’t even want to hear politics at all.

“You know it is not easy for children who are born to politicians, especially in this time, to embrace politics.

“When I was much younger, we were insulated from some of the political issues, and because we didn’t read the newspapers, we didn’t know what was happening.

“I reluctantly went into politics, you can go and check. Once or twice, I was given the form to run for House of Representatives, and I remember I just travelled and disappeared for months.

“After seeing what my father had been through I thought to myself that this is not for me” he said.

Mr. Saraki, however, said that the most important thing for him in the state was the legacy which had been left and the continuity and good relationship between former and the serving governor.

He said that his successor had also done a good job in transforming the state by creating an environment for entrepreneurship.

“In the agricultural sector, we have done a lot of things that drive commercial activities which is not in the blueprint of the country.

“Even in the universal health coverage which we are now talking about at the national level, I started that when I was governor, and now my governor has continued and built on that.

“This shows the importance of continuity and stability and today, we thank God that we are one of those states where there is a very good relationship between former governor and current governor.” he said.

He denied insinuation that pensioners in the state were still being owed arrears dating back to when he was governor.

“Majority of the amounts still being owed are at the local government level, most of the state level pensions are not outstanding.

“There might be issues with pensions here and there but I don’t know the details. I know that the arrears and liability are at local government level, not at state government level,”  Saraki stated.

NERC threatens to withdraw licences of non-performing Gencos by Sindyy(f) : 11:12 am On Aug 05

Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on Friday threatened to withdraw the licences of non-performing power generation companies in the country.

The Commissioner in charge of Legal Licence and Compliance, Dafe Akpeneye, handed down the warning during a stakeholders’ meeting on the Lagos State Embedded Power Programme held at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, led members of the state executive council, lawmakers and other stakeholders to the meeting.

Akpaneye said the commission was monitoring the licensed generation companies to see when the power they promised to add to national grid would come on stream.

He said the commission would not hesitate to withdraw the licences from those who were not utilising them, and allocate them to others who were in position to do so.

He said, “We have issued over 100 generation licences and we are going to monitor the execution very seriously. We are going to monitor to see when the 3,000MW you promised the grid will come on stream.

“The licences we issued are not meant to be traded. So anyone with a NERC licence and has tucked it in his drawer somewhere and has not done anything with it, the commission is going to monitor what you have done with those licences.

“If you are not on course, we will withdraw our licences from you and give them to people who can use them appropriately.”

Akpaneye stated that Nigeria could no longer continue to run its economy with between 3,800 megawatts and 4,500MW of electricity.

He said the key to unlocking the country’s development was in the power sector.

The NERC commissioner urged the power distribution companies to also address the issue of metering, which he described as very disappointing.

He said the situation had made many Nigerians to believe that they were paying for darkness.

“People are not happy with the estimated billing methodology that the Discos rely on. Everybody wants to be metered and we need to ensure that Nigerian customers are properly metered,” he stated.

The commissioner added that distribution companies needed to carry out significant investments on their networks.

He noted that during a trip in May, he discovered that the investment in the network that needed to be done to supply Ikoyi, Victory Island and Lekki in Lagos were not in place.

“So, if we cannot sell power to people in Ikoyi, Victory Island and Lekki, who are we going to sell power to? So, the investments that need to be done  to improve the distribution networks, we need to get the Discos to start looking into them,” he added.

Akpaneye also said the firms needed to do more to address customers’ complaints.

He regretted that the relationship between the Discos and their customers was tensed because they did not feel their issues get attended to when they complain.

The commissioner also stressed the need for Discos to address the issue of customers’ enumeration.

He said, “We need to address the issue of customer enumeration, because the customers number that the commission is seeing from the distribution companies from Lagos State is not reflective of current realities.

“As of today, it is on our records that we have about 1.2 million electricity customers in Lagos. I have lived in Lagos all my life and I don’t think there is anywhere in Lagos that does not have a pole and a line.”

He added, “I don’t think there is any house in Lagos that is not connected to the grid, even in remote shanty towns like Makoko, former Marako, are all connected to the grid.

“We will not accept the current enumeration numbers and we need to make sure that the numbers are truly reflective of what is on ground today in Lagos State.”

Akpaneye said NERC was already working with the National Assembly to address electricity theft.

He added that Nigerians must be made to appreciate electricity as an essential resource that needed to be paid for.

The founder and general overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, may have unknowingly secured the release of seven prisoners including three rapists, from Auchi Prison, Edo state, theCable reports.

It was gathered that two of the ex-convicts were sentenced in March 2017 for gang raping a 16-year-old girl, while one was sentenced in May, for defiling a 3-year-old girl in Gambala community in Akoko Edo local government area of the state.

They were all given the option of fine.

However, their story changed after attending a service at the headquarters of Suleman’s church in Auchi on July 23.

Addressing them at his church auditorium after they had been freed, Suleman warned them not to go back to crime.

He also promised to empower them and told the congregation that he spent N1.5 million in the process of securing their release.

“There are seven people from the prison here who were convicted. They have been sentenced but we needed to intervene. They needed a bail bond. Put that together, everything is running to N1.5m thereabouts,” Suleman said.

Turning to the men, he said: “It is important that we get you out… We are not getting you out so that you go back to crime because God does not give third chance, He may give second chance.”

An unidentified prison official, who also spoke at the service, thanked the pastor for securing the release of the ex-convicts.

He also appreciated the role Suleman had been extending to the facility.

“I want to say a very big thank you to Professor Apostle Suleman and his beloved wife for setting these people free. It is not an easy thing. Many have been coming to preach but we are happy with you,” the official said.

“We know what you have been doing for the prison and today, these people are set free by God through you. So we appreciate you sir.”

However, Priscilla Usiobaifo, executive director of BraveHeart Initiative, a non-governmental organisation in Edo, said that the release of those convicted of rape was having a negative effect on their victims and their families.

Usiobafio said her agency monitored the case from the beginning and followed through till the accused were sentenced to prison.

She said it was painful that after securing justice, the man who raped a minor spent only two months in prison, while the gang rape convicts spent four months.

Usiobafio said the mother of one of the ex-convicts went to the house of three-year-old victim to harass the mother of the minor who was assaulted.

Together with her brother, the woman was said to have mocked the victim’s mother that Suleman had secured the release of her son.

She added that the little girl went into a coma when she sighted the man who defiled her.

“The mother of this three-year-old baby called me that when her daughter sighted the young man and her child went into coma and later in the evening she called back to report that that the mother of the rapist came to her house, in fact knocked on the door to her room and began to make mockery of her telling her that the son which she sent to the prison has been released by the man of God,” Usiobaifo said.

“I wrote a report on it and put it on social media- Facebook, WhatsApp – the next day and there was an outrage on the social media. A lot of people contacted the pastor and informed him of what was happening and by Friday last week, he reached out to me.

“I narrated everything that happened to him and he apologised that he didn’t know the crimes committed by those people. He didn’t know that that was their background.

“He also stated that he was willing to do whatever he can as damage control to the victim’s family and call the rapist’s family that he didn’t send them back home to further victimise the victim.”

Suleman’s spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, however seemed unaware of the crimes of the culprits and aftermath of their release and promised to reach Suleman for details.

Aminu Suleiman, spokesman for the Edo command of the Nigerian prison service (NPS), also denied knowledge of the release of the prisoners.

Usiobafio said her agency was exploring some options in order to make sure that the victims do not suffer in vain.
