The cells were more like designer flats with en-suite bathrooms, colour-coordinated furniture, LED lighting and well-stocked fridge-freezers.

This is the luxurious prison where criminals enjoyed air-conditioned cells complete with plasma TVs, games consoles and even a ‘Kamasutra room’ that is used for conjugal visits with their wives and girlfriends.

Members of organised crime gangs from an overcrowded jail were transferred to a new maximum security prison.

But photos of their former pampered prison have been posted on social media.

The cells were more like designer flats with en-suite bathrooms, colour-coordinated furniture, LED lighting, food blenders, coffee machines and well-stocked fridge-freezers.

They included photos of nicely-decorated, air-conditioned cells with 52 inch flat-screen televisions, computer consoles and top games including FIFA and Grand Theft Auto.

Some of the inmates even had access to a special comfort room with mirrors and ambient lighting, dubbed the Kamasutra, for conjugal visits with their wives and girlfriends.

Entering the Kamasutra was reportedly a privilege for gang leaders and other senior gang members who earned the right through carrying out crimes for their bosses.

A total of 773 gang members were moved from the Marco Aurelio Soto prison in Tamara, near the Honduran capital city of Tegucigalpa, to the new El Pozo 2 jail in La Tova in the western Honduran department of El Paraiso.

And, when they could not enjoy the pleasures of female company, the inmates organised computer game tournaments to keep themselves amused behind bars.

All are believed to be members of the notorious Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) and Barrio 18 gangs in Honduras which is regarded as one the most dangerous countries in the world.

Hondurans were shocked when pictures of the conditions they had enjoyed at the severely overcrowded prison were posted on social media.

In one room, wall decorations included a mirror framed in the shape of a snake in the shape of ’18’ to denote the Barrio 18 gang.

The gang members were transferred to their new maximum security prison under a heavy security escort supervised by the President of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernandez.

Prisons in Honduras are notorious hotbeds of gang activity, with fights, extortion, drug deals and killings common in the country’s overcrowded facilities.

Tisekwa Gamungu, 16 year old Tanzania boy who saved nine pupils from drowning after their dhow capsized in Lake Victories is to honoured for his bravery, reports the Citizen. The young boy will be awarded 2 million Tanzanian shilling (nearly 350,000 naira) by Suleiman Kova Foundation, which also intends to train the boy with rescue techniques.
“For his tender age, it was not an easy job for Tisekwa to rescue nine school mates from drowning; he did a commendable job, which was supposed to have been done by an adult. He deserves praise,” said Babbie Kabae, presenter, Clouds TV station.

The Nine pupils were rescued from 21 pupils who were in the dhow, which has left three pupils missing.

You know that one friend who always keeps it completely 100% with you? She's not afraid to tell you the truth and asks the really hard questions others are afraid to ask.

We all need this friend and we love her because we know her honesty is sincerely out of love for us and a desire to see the best for us.

How's your mental wellness? 
I know I spend a lot of time encouraging you spiritually but in honor of mental health awareness month I want to check in to see how you are doing in this area too?

I ask because as I become more aware of the need to take more care of myself mentally, I can look back on my life and see seasons where I didn't. I just simply didn't know how and I don't want that to be you.

So today I want to share with you 3 simple ways I've learned to maintain my mental wellness (and in turn the wellness of my marriage and family).

1.) Be Still: Take time to sit quietly and process your feelings. I know, I know. You don't have the time. Between work, church, and cooking dinner all you want to do is watch Netflix. I get it. Me too.

But I've noticed if I don't take time to process why I'm feeling the way I'm feeling and thinking the thoughts I'm thinking, the negative feelings and thoughts have a field day because I'm not taking the time to stop them before they snowball out of control.

So I make it a priority to be still and ask myself questions like; why did that one comment from my husband set me off? Was it because I skipped lunch and was just hangry (hungry + angry) or was it something deeper? Something I can overcome with renewed thinking so that it doesn't happen again?

For me this type of mental processing doesn't happen while I'm running after the kids or folding a mountain of laundry. So I forfeit an episode on Netflix to simply be still and process. It always pays off in the long run.

2.) Journal: Simply sitting quiet and thinking doesn't always work for me. Sometimes my mind can go a million miles per hour. Before I can finish one thought 12 more pop up. When my mind is this busy the only way to organize all my thoughts and feelings is to write them down. So that's what I do almost every day. There is something about seeing my thoughts on paper (or screen) that help me to process more clearly and regularly. If you’re like me and have a difficult time focusing your thinking, I encourage you to find a time that works best for you to journal and make it a habit.

3.) Talk it Out: All your mental processing should not be done alone. I strongly encourage you to open up to a trusted friend about the thoughts that are going through your mind (yes, even the crazy ones). Sometimes we just need someone to tell us the thoughts holding us hostage to fear and anxiety are just not true. Or we need someone to tell us "girl you're not crazy for feeling that way". The Bible tells us:

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. – Proverbs 27:9 NLT

Maintaining your mental wellness is not easy work but you are worth it. You deserve a healthy and happy life that overflows into the lives of your family, community, and world.

In a new interview with HipTV, Onwenu, who added that the singers themselves churn out works that lack contents, said;

“I feel sad when I watch and see all these videos that should not be shown, and I hate what they are doing to the women,”

“I hate what the women are doing to themselves; allowing themselves to play such roles.

“I am consoled by one thing: the young shall grow. You can start off singing all these nonsense and shaking bum bum and all that. But there comes a time in your life when you realise that there’s more to life, and that that talent is given to you is meant for greater things. And that’s when you have that switch.

“So, I’m watching all these new artistes and hoping that at some point in their young lives, they will come to that realisation,”

A Ghanaian football player in Gävle, Sweden, Kwame Bonsu, has been sent to prison for assaulting and raping his wife. A Swedish court yesterday sentenced Kwame, who plays in Sweden’s second division, to two years in prison for beating and raping his estranged wife.

22-year-old Kwame Bonsu who played for the Gefle IF club, after serving his sentence will also be deported from the Scandinavian country where he has lived since 2013.

The court heard that the rape and beatings took place in the couple’s apartment during an evening in November 2015 when he had refused to let her out.

Bonsu repeatedly denied the charges, but testimony from his wife’s relatives led the court to believe the victim’s version of events.

His football club on Friday dismissed him from the team with immediate effect.

Kwame first met his estranged wife in 2014 when he was playing in the southern Swedish city of Mjölby. They married the following year.

A few months after the wedding, he signed a transfer to the town of Gävle, located about 300 kilometres away from Mjölby. Bonsu’s wife had wanted him to stay to continue his studies and this caused serious rift in their marriage.

According to court documents, he will also have to pay 122,600 kronor ($14,000) in compensation to his wife, who is a Swedish national. His lawyer has appealed the sentence.
