Comedian and skit maker Chibunna Stanley better known as "Funny bone" has put up a post on his Instagram advising restaurants and lounges to ban or restrict the use of phones in their premises by customers. This advice from the comedian comes shortly after South African rapper Kiernan Forbes better known as AKA, was shot dead two hours after sharing his live location at a restaurant on Saturday 11 February, 2023.

Funny bone admonished people on the dangers of sharing live locations on social media while also cautioning on the need for people to protect themselves. The comedian further warned people to desist from including or tagging strangers in their photos or live videos as these acts are intrusive and disrespectful. He urged restaurants to look into restricting customers' access to their phones while using the facilities if an outright prohibition cannot be ensured. Funny bone also implored people to stay safe at all times.

The organizers of the prestigious Headies Award just announced the nominees for the 12th Edition. The Award will hold on the 5th of May, 2018 at Eko Hotel & Suites while the Nominees party will hold in Abuja on April 28th, 2018.

An outstanding officer in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Swadha Dev Singh has been recognized for his exceptional public sector services. She was born in a tiny town in Uttar Pradesh, India, where she also spent her childhood and finished her education, which the local government provided.

After that, she got her undergraduate degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. After that, she went on to earn her graduate degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. Both degrees were in the same subject.

Swadha succeeded on her first try in the Civil Services Examination, held in 2008 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). She received an All India Rank (AIR) of 33 for her efforts. Her first position was as an Assistant Collector in the Jhansi district after being granted the Uttar Pradesh cadre for her career. During the first few years of her career, Swadha was responsible for several challenging tasks in several districts in Uttar Pradesh. These districts included Amethi, Rae Bareli, and Ghaziabad.

Because of all the effort she put into her work and her devotion to her employer, she quickly earned a reputation for being a competent and effective officer. In 2014, Swadha was appointed Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the Sultanpur district. In this role, she was responsible for implementing several forward-thinking programs to improve the socioeconomic circumstances of the area’s residents. As a result of her leadership, the jurisdiction made significant advancements in various domains, including healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment.

Google-owned Video sharing platform, YouTube had earlier on Friday restored Trump's channel.
"We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, while balancing the chance for voters to hear equally from major national candidates in the run up to an election," YouTube said in a tweet, referring to its move to restore his account.

Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts had earlier this year been reinstated, his Twitter account was restored in November by the platform's new owner Elon Musk, but Trump has yet to post on Twitter.

Award-winning Nigerian music sensation Wande Coal has received widespread acclaim for the release of a number of successful projects over the years.

Despite the accolades that have come his way, Wande Coal has decided to delay the release of his upcoming album titled ‘Legend or No Legend’ by one week. The decision seems to have been triggered by the announcement of Davido’s upcoming fourth album ‘Timeless’ which is scheduled to be released on March 31, 2023.

The timing of Davido’s album release seems to have raised concerns with Wande Coal as it is coinciding with the original release of his own album. As a result, the decision was taken to pushback the release of ‘Legend or No Legend’ and the new date is now April 7th, 2023. ‘Legend or No Legend’ is Wande Coal’s 4th project and 3rd album since the EP ‘Realms’, which was released in 2020.

The anticipation for ‘Legend or No Legend’ has been raised with the release of the lead single ‘Kpe Paso’ which features Olamide. ‘Kpe Paso’ is an up-tempo afro-beat banger and its video was shot by the renowned video director Unlimited L.A. The hit was met with praise from fans of the two artists and it further added to the anticipation for the upcoming album.

Norwegian DJ Kygo and American vocalist Selena Gomez collaborated on the song “It Ain’t Me.” Interscope Records released the song.

It was released on February 16, 2017, by Sony and Ultra as the lead single from Kygo’s debut extended play Stargazing (2017), and it also features as an international bonus track on Selena Gomez’s album, Rare (2020).

Kygo, Brian Lee, Ali Tamposi, Gomez, and Andrew Watt wrote the song. Kygo, Watt, and Louis Bell collaborated on the track.

“It Ain’t Me” is an EDM, dance-pop, electropop, and tropical house song with an acoustic guitar line.

In the chorus, there are throbbing piano notes, bass, synthesizers, finger-snap claps, and pan flute melodies, as well as a build-drop arrangement.

Gomez delivers the song in a gruff tone, with her vocals reduced to repeated words in the chorus. The wistful lyrics describe a bygone love that was shattered by drunkenness.

The song reached number one in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland, in addition to Croatia, Lebanon, and Norway.

In Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, it also made the top ten.

Andrew Watt, Brian Lee, and Ali Tamposi wrote the lyrics for “It Ain’t Me.”

Former Kaduna senator, Shehu Sani has made a prayer to God concerning Nigeria’s forthcoming national census.

Nigeria is expected to conduct her national census from May 3 to 5, 2023.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Shehu Sani prayed to God to take over the census server.

According to him, this is important so that the country’s population figures will not be raised to that of either China or India.

China and India are the most populated countries in the world with more than 1 billion people each while Nigeria’s population stands at over 200 million people.

Nigerian music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy, has revealed that he has two yet-to-be-released songs with Afrobeats Superstar, Wizkid.

The Mavin Boss spoke recently in a question & answer session on his Instagram page.

A follower had asked Don Jazzy when he would collaborate with the Grammy-winning singer.

“When will you have a song with Wizkid? What has been delaying the Grammy award song?” the follower asked.

Reacting, the music executive said they worked on two songs together that were unreleased because they weren’t up to standard.

Don Jazzy said they may drop more collaborative songs in the future.

“We actually did like two songs a while back but we never released it. I don’t know, I think it wasn’t good enough,” he said.

“Sometimes we have those days when you do some songs and people are not feeling it like that.

“But then we had ‘Surulere’ remix. I think that’s the only time that we have worked other than those other two songs that I said we did but didn’t put out.

“One day. I don’t know, you know how those things go. You know I’m upcoming. One day we will be in the studio together. It will happen.”

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has revealed how he acquired his property in the United States.

Fustus Keyamo has been on fire on social media after he was shared a photo of himself enjoying his vacation in one of his house which reportedly worth $302,000 in Texas.

Reacting on his Twitter page, the minister said two days ago, he decided to bait the horde of sore losers at the last elections with a video of his vacation in one of his properties abroad as he did a light workout.

He said expectedly, they fell so terribly for the bait, lashing out that being folks of low moral standards, they seemed to view everyone from their own depraved universe.

“Given same position of public trust and authority, I bet they would easily compromise. So, they assume everyone will wallow in the same moral squalor like them. For some of us who have built a huge reputation of honour, integrity and accountability and championed the fight against corruption — long before public office- probity and openness remain our guiding principles,” he said.

According to Keyamo, by letters dated March 6, 2019, long before he was appointed a Minister and immediately he was appointed a Board member of the NDIC, and in line with the constitution, he wrote to the relevant government agencies, informing them of the closure of his foreign account(s) and the repatriation of his funds to the country, being some savings he had made as a private legal practitioner and a property investor over decades.

“The numbers of those accounts, both abroad and in Nigeria were clearly stated in those letters. Those foreign funds were lying in my accounts until my appointment as a Minister later in 2019 and formed part of my assets declaration.

“In 2021, I again wrote to the relevant agencies (by letters dated January 22, 2021), informing them of the movement of those funds out of the country to purchase a property as a better investment decision, instead of the funds lying idly in the account whilst I am in public office. The letters were duly acknowledged.

“I followed up again with Whatsapp chats same day to the heads of those agencies, informing them of the delivery of those letters and the contents of the letters and they acknowledged receipt. I have the acknowledged copies of those letters and those chats and replies are still on my phone, showing the dates of those chats.

“So, I had a good laugh when I saw the trending issues regarding just one of my properties in the US. It is even very laughable to think that after active, high-profile practice of law culminating in my privilege as a member of the Inner Bar (together with being an International Arbitrator) and thoughtful investments in real estate spanning over 30 years, I cannot afford such a relatively modest property,” he explained.

“Understandably, some people seem to underrate us because we live a simple, modest life and we are not given to ostentatious display of wealth and the vanities of life like some people do. Lol. Well, for these haters, I have another bad news for them: let me now disclose that of my entire real estate portfolio (both home and abroad), this is about the CHEAPEST of my several properties.

“Those who are VERY CLOSE to me over the years know exactly what I am talking about. My flourishing and manned law Chambers (whilst I am away on national assignment) and my real estate investments are still far more financially profitable than serving my country. Ours is a labour of love to my country. My Assets Declaration is there for all to see. (Again, this is verifiable.)

“Some of us don’t need Government funds or patronage to get by. Whatever we do and whoever we support is out of our deep convictions. And yes, we have worked our socks off in the last 30 years! Please, expect more videos,” he added.
