2023 : People Steal To Buy APC Nomination Forms – Kenneth Okonkwo Claims by Whatelse(m) : 2:06 pm On Oct 25

Popular Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has claimed that some members of the All Progressives Congress steal public funds in order to be able to buy the party’s nomination forms to contest for political positions.

Okonkwo said this on Monday during an interview on AIT’s morning show, ‘Kakaaki.’

He went on to say that he had he had rejected the APC even before announcing his exit from the party.

Okonkwo who announced his exit from APC in July said, “I’ve already ruled out the failures of APC so I rejected APC when I was in APC. I never agreed to pay their nomination fee because I believed that it was as a result of corrupt tendencies.

“For you to tell a man to pay as nomination fee an amount that four years of his salary cannot cover and you are telling me you are fighting corruption, which corruption? Why do you think people are stealing 109billion Naira in an APC-led government, the person that is suppose to guard it, because they need to have such money because even if you want to contest, they’ll be asking you for billions to contest.

“So I rejected APC while I was in APC but you have to wait for an alternative, for another option, that will accommodate your own beliefs and remember, I resigned from APC before talking about any other party and when I saw a new Nigeria about to emerge from Labour Party, what I have prayed, what I wished for. It was only natural that I gravitate around it and that was what happened. So I was very sentimentally attached to the redemption of this country and I really thought that APC was going to provide that.

“When President Muhammadu Buhari was a military head of state, you know what happened? He was paying our debt with crude oil and people said he maintained his own salary. Look at what is happening now. He has borrowed us into bondage, their debt cannot even be serviced by the entire revenue.

5 Worst Airports In Africa by Whatelse(m) : 2:09 pm On Oct 27

Juba International Airport

Juba International AirportJuba International Airport

The Worst Airports In Africa.

The airports that appear on this list of the worst airports in Africa are the ones that have the capacity to truly offend travellers.

As determined by voters, these are the worst Airports in Africa.

1. Juba International Airport, South Sudan (JUB)

The travel situation in Juba has further deteriorated in the past year, earning this airport the title of Worst Airport in africa this year, the airport hit a new low with tents now serving as the primary terminal facilities, while the existing terminal has continued to undergo “renovations” since 2012. The litany of complaints about Juba airport could fill several pages, but we’ll just try to succinctly summarize the worst of the worst. We already noted the lack of a real roof, but we should also mention the rotting plywood floors, and reports that people often fall through them. There is a noticeable lack of seating, but this may not be much of a concern, as most available seating tends to be broken or literally falling through the plywood floor. At Juba Airport, travellers don’t bother to complain about things like the lack of Wi-Fi and charging points – they’re more concerned about the lack of electricity in 40 degree Celsius heat! Non-existent air conditioning turns the tents into miniature sweat boxes. Voters also reported major crowds, horrific smells and filth, high heat, rain leaking into the tent, corruption and a lot of security walking around with guns. While time spent here is invariably unpleasant, we recognize that South Sudan is a war-torn state that perhaps has more pressing concerns.

2. Port Harcourt International Airport, Nigeria (PHC)

Apparently things haven’t changed much at Port Harcourt Airport, as it ranked third worst for overall passenger experience. This year’s survey respondents indicated that aggressive corruption is the biggest problem, with airport officials and staff allegedly demanding bribes for pretty much everything. Other complaints included lack of bathroom facilities, lack of air conditioning, horrible baggage handling, and the tent that serves as the arrivals terminal. If you can overlook the bribery component, departures are said to be a bit more pleasant than arrivals, as the departures terminal is an actual building.

3. Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Nigeria (LOS)

Top 5 Worst Airports In Africa - Survey

Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport is the third worst airport in Africa..

“Every offical ask you for money. Don’t tell them you have cash, otherwise, the customs offical will take you to the dark room. But if you give the money to the Nigerian Offical, you can bring anything on to the plane.” – Survey respondent

The government of Nigeria, with the help of Chinese investors, has poured almost a half-billion dollars into refurbishing Nigeria’s airports. Unfortunately, for many voters, there appears to be no discernible difference in the operation and facilities of Lagos International Airport. One word likely explains why – “corruption”. This happens to be the number one traveller complaint about Lagos Airport. Add to this filthy bathrooms, limited seating, archaic check-in procedures, sporadic air conditioning, and lousy customer service, and you’re not likely to enjoy your time here. Fortunately the airport does host a number of pay-to-use lounges that might make an extended stay a bit more bearable.

4. Dar es Salaam Julius Nyerere International Airport, Tanzania (DAR)

Top 5 Worst Airports In Africa - Survey

Top 5 Worst Airports In Africa - Survey

WE HAD TO WAIT HERE FOR 6 HOURS. LACK OF PLACES TO GO AND EAT OR JUST SIT. TOILETS ARE AWFUL AND NOT ENOUGH TO COPE WITH NUMBERS. – SURVEY RESPONDENT

Dar es Salaam Airport is a small international airport with no real amenities and enough passenger dissatisfaction to rank it among the worst for overall experience. A major complaint seems to be that passengers are often forced to wait outside the terminal on uncomfortable benches until check-in time. Once inside, conditions don’t improve much, as there seems to be limited seating and food options that perhaps should be avoided. Staff are described as either rude, unknowledgeable, or a combination of both. Though it’s not much of a saving grace, some passengers reported that they were able to catch some Zs as the benches.

5. Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Ethiopia (ADD)

Addis Ababa’s international airport was voted the second worst airport in the world for a layover. It seems, however, that if you’re using it as a destination, things aren’t as bad. Sure, the bathrooms are described as “creepy” and “disgusting” and are sometimes flooded. And, sure, the staff have a tendency to be unhelpful or rude. It’s not great that the Wi-Fi often doesn’t work, and that the restaurant options are bleak. However, if this is your home airport or your final destination, you can probably get in and out of the airport quickly enough – sparing you from experiencing the airport’s worst sides.

[EP] Bella Shmurda – “High Tension 2.0” (Song) by Whatelse(m) : 8:46 pm On Nov 02

Last Updated on Nov 2, 2022 | 09:36 by Tommy

Bella Shmurda High Tension 2.0

The Highly Anticipated EP from Bella Shmurda, “High Tension 2.0” is Finally Out!!!

With the success of his 2021 singles (‘Rush‘, ‘World‘ & ‘Party Next Door‘), Bella Shmurda premieres his brand new project title “High Tension 2.0“. This body of work is the continuation of his debut 7 tracks EP – ‘High Tension‘ released in 2020.

Born Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, Bella Shmurda has become one of Nigeria’s most formidable vocalists. After rising to prominence back in 2019 following the release of “Vision 2020”, a single which chronicled his time spent hustling on the streets of Lagos, the singer embarked on a peerless singles run which culminated in the release of his first EP, 2020’s High Tension. Now, on the other side of a Headies Next Rated Award, the street poet continues to speak through music with a conscious message. “High Tension 2.0 is another dimension of Bella Shmurda,” he tells Apple Music. “A new style, a new vibe, a new thing for my people. It’s like lightning. You can’t stop lightning from striking, and that’s the way I’m coming. I’m coming to penetrate. I’m coming to cheer up my people. I’m coming to change people’s minds, consciously.” Here, he takes us through his sophomore 8 tracks EP, one track at a time.

Track 1. “Out There” (Intro)

“Where I come from, it’s a different ball game entirely. ‘Out There’ is telling people, ‘Man, I can be here doing some star boy thing, but I know it’s crazy out there. I know how things are going. I know where it hurts, and how you guys are living. I understand it.’ There are levels to this thing. If it gets bigger, you have to work harder to sustain it. If you get to some stage, if you see some things, you get inspired to be better. That thing goes to those who are on the streets too. They hustle the way they see things.”

Track 2. “World”

“‘World’ is a very conscious sound which talks about a lot of things, touching different parts of life; this negative vibe and atmosphere in the world right now. I’m trying to inform my own people who don’t know about this. This is what I really want to do with my music—I want to inform people. I want to get people connected. I actually have an alternative cut for this song, which is two different vibes, but the same song. It was so emotional and spiritual for me, because it’s me going against the world. Over all the hurt, I’m still saying what I have to say. I’m still doing what I have to do.”

Track 3. “Soldier Go”

“This is me telling a girl, ‘If I go, I will come back. Soldier go, soldier come, but barracks is never empty.’ To all my lovers out there, if I go, I’ll always come back to them. No matter where I am in the world, no matter what I’m doing, I’ll come back. They are my backbone. They are my home. Fancy Beatz produced this song. He is someone I’ve known for a long time now. It was a free thing, it was a good thing.”

Track 4. “Far Away”

“‘Far Away’ is one of my favourite songs on the EP, in the sense that it’s touching everywhere. Everywhere I really want to be, every cruise I really want to catch, is on that song. It’s me expressing myself and telling a girl, ‘I want the best from you. Feel free. Make me happy. Give me the best. Let me forget my sorrows. Take me away from home. Give me a different vibe. Give me a different feeling.’”

Track 5. “Lako”

“‘Lako’ is a street vibe. On this EP, I’m trying to balance the taste of everything. ‘Lako’ is a naughty song. I produced this song with Fancy Beatz too. I quoted the direction that I really wanted the beat to take people. Because the kind of person I am, I feel it’s not really necessary to hide what is on your mind or to hide your ways. From this side, freedom of speech is not free, but I know it should be free. I’m just trying to be very, very straight with my emotions, with my feelings, and with my expression. ‘Lako’ is like, ‘Babe, will you blow me?’”

Track 6. “Rush”

“‘Rush’ is a story about we, the youngins, right now. From where I come from, right now, everybody’s like, they want to get it on time and they want to get it right. Most times, it’s not like that. While you are pushing for these things, better things will come your way that will distract you. They say, ‘I’m living a rush, because I’m moving fast.’ Yes, the world is moving fast. It’s not everybody that is living that rush. So that’s the conscious song that is telling people, ‘Man, yes, I’m doing my best, and I’m getting my thing right. Okay? Don’t bring the negative vibes into my thing.’ I worked on that song for over two weeks while recording, because I had to be sure of what I wanted to say. I had to be sure of where I’m going. I had to be sure of the kind of message I’m passing to the people. It’s really a nice thing to work like that and take my time.”

Track 7. “Party Next Door”

“‘Party Next Door’ came about like this: I had a party to go to, and along the road to the party, there’s my friend’s house. I got to this place and I met the producer and I met my friend. The producer was playing this very attractive beat and was like, ‘Yo, I have a party next door, but I can’t go. Do you guys have any options? If you don’t have anywhere you want to go, you can stay with me and join me.’ This is just a party vibe, to make the people happy. It’s the time of our lives. There’s no ‘right time’. There’s no ‘best time’ to do anything. Anything you want to do, make sure you do it and you don’t postpone. Time flies, things happen, and some things can happen that will affect what you want to happen for yourself.”

Track 8. “Champion” (Outro)

“Where I come from is a funny place. Me coming out of that place—it’s like I’m blessed like a champion, because where I come from, a lot of people music for a long time and they couldn’t even see the light. I’m a champion in the sense that I could face the odds. I could hustle to where I am today. I’m a champion because I’m graced. This song is just majorly there to let people know, ‘Like you, I tried. I really tried. I really did it. I made it.‘”

Viewers of internet material are eager to learn more about the topics addressed in the series and movies they watch. Online visitors are often very interested in the content they are viewing. This movie appears to have featured material that was not intended for persons under the age of 18.

There are several websites that claim to be able to link visitors to the video, but not all of them can be trusted to do so. Only a few websites have the technological capability to achieve anything like this.

Because the video has only lately begun to circulate online, a processing time of several days seems reasonable. This is true even if moviegoers who shop online are interested in the film’s origins.

Customers are just as interested in a company’s history and management as they are in the items and services it provides, whether they shop in a physical store or online.

The public has access to limited information, and neither the service’s owner nor the personnel in charge is known at this moment. The material has become a global sensation, achieving rapid popularity all over the world.

Follow these measures if one of your viewers comes upon the information. They would conduct their inquiry in a covert manner due to the high likelihood that it is protected in some way. Under no circumstances should the general public be permitted to view this.

Ex-BBNaija Stars Beatrice And Praise Disagree Over S*x On First Date by Whatelse(m) : 2:07 pm On Nov 07

 Beatrice

Beatrice and Praise, two Big Brother Naija reality stars, have publicly disagreed over a topic.

They took to social media to disagree over the topic; “S*x on the first date.”

This is coming after Praise took to his Instagram story to encourage ladies to have s*x on their first date.

According to Praise, s*x on the first date might spur a guy who actually likes a girl into loving her.

He wrote, “Ladies, have you ever thought that a guy might like you, but the s*x might make him love you even more? So what’s with the It’s not right to have s*x on the first date?? Not every guy is about the smash and goes life.”

Reacting to it, Beatrice disagreed with him, and in her opinion, it’s a way of girls making sure that they don’t sleep with the wrong guy who kisses and tells.

She wrote, “Praise, it’s not about him falling in love. We are worried about sleeping with a coconut head. A kiss and tell that will announce you to the world with a microphone. It’s okay for a lady to take her time and know who she is dealing with, and if he can’t wait for her to decide on what to do with him, he should take several seats back.”

We’re aware that the public is interested in seeing the clip, but it’s more complex to locate than some of the other viral films that have gone viral on social media. Customers can access the adult-themed audio recordings through links on specific web pages of the website. They have no other choice than to do so.

With its many releases and growing fan base, it’s no wonder that one of the most well-known Kanino Kalang flicks is now among the genre’s most successful examples. Researchers are still looking into the picture’s history even though it has been confirmed that pornographic material was incorporated into the video.

Many sites say they can help people find the video, but not all of them can be trusted. This kind of advanced technology is beyond the capabilities of most websites. The video has just recently started making the rounds on social media, so a delay of a few days seems logical. This is still the case even if buyers who watch the video online as they shop are interested in learning more about its history. Both online and in-store customers are equally interested in learning about the company’s background and who makes the decisions.

Only a limited amount of information about the service and its proprietor is now accessible to the public. The film’s popularity has skyrocketed over the globe, making it something of a global sensation. If any of your viewers come across the video, this is what they should do. Since it’s likely protected somehow, they’d have to sneak about to find out what it’s about. Under no circumstances should it be made available to the general public.

Nigerian Entrepreneur Makes History Again as Youngest Black Woman to Raise $10 Million in Funding by Whatelse(m) : 2:10 pm On Nov 18

olamide

olamideolamide

Olamide Olowe, 26, is the co-founder of Topicals skincare, a brand she was inspired to start because she grew up with skin conditions. Since then, the popularity of her skincare product has grown exponentially, appealing mostly to Gen-Z via Tiktok and Instagram marketing.

Olowe launched Topicals skincare in 2020 and saw its revenue increase three-fold. In 2021, the product sold out in 48 hours at a market launch despite the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

She subsequently got investors to back her business in fundraising. She raised over $2 million in venture capital with some big-name investors such as the CEO of Netflix CMO Bozoma Saint John and Insecure actresses Issa Rae and Yvonne Orji. The fundraising made her the youngest entrepreneur to raise such a fund, as per Face2face Africa’s previous feature.

She also made a debut on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for 2022 for her previous fundraising of $2.6 million. The 26-year-old recently announced a $10 million financing round led by CAVU Consumer Partners, making her the youngest Black woman ever to raise $10 million in funding, according to Forbes.

The outlet said Topicals will harness the CAVU funding to expand the company and fuel brand awareness. The brand will also commit funds towards raising awareness around the link between mental health and skin conditions.

“To date, Topicals has donated more than $50,000 to support nonprofits providing mental health resources to marginalized communities. Now the company will be able to launch a 12-month accelerator program to support nonprofits in the mental health space,” Forbes wrote.

Olowe grew up with post barbae folliculitis (a skin inflammation) while her co-founder, Claudia, grew up with eczema. Olowe told Fortune that she knows what it feels like to live with skin conditions and the effect they have on one’s mental health, hence the creation of Topicals.

She is mindful of the role social media plays in how people feel about themselves or their skin. “That’s why it is important to us to create a brand that doesn’t focus on perfection or unattainable beauty standards. We want to transform the way people feel about skin and we do that on social media by showcasing people with visible skin conditions living life in full color,” she told Fortune.

Prior to starting her own skincare product, she spent two years as an intern at Shea Moisture where she learned how to build a brand following for underserved consumers. “At Shea Moisture, there was an ethos of doing well by doing good,” she told Forbes. “That inspired me to build Topicals with a social mission.”

Despite her success in fundraising to revamp her business, Olowe’s entrepreneurial journey has not been smooth sailing. According to her, she has to fight against the industry norm, which demands that beauty companies constantly roll out new products, she said to Forbes.

For others who want to be like her, the Nigerian-born entrepreneur said they should not hesitate to get started. “If you psych yourself out, even just a little bit, you won’t do it. Don’t even think about what you can’t do. Just ask, ‘Why not me?’”

Heavy protest against Tinubu at Chatham House UK [PHOTOS] by Whatelse(m) : 7:22 am On Dec 06

The opposition party on Monday staged a protest against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that tens of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a demonstration at the Chatham House, United Kingdom (UK), where Tinubu spoke.

The Chatham House is used around the world to encourage inclusive and open dialogue in meetings.

The demonstrators, mainly Nigerians, accused Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, of drug trafficking in the 1990s.

“Tinubu is a known Drug Lord with signs of cognitive dissonance. I have got facts to back it up, I have documents to back it up,” said a protester Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan.

Meanwhile, supporters of the APC and Tinubu staged a counter-protest at the Chatham House, following their rivals about.
