APC Confident Buhari Will Survive Any Impeachment Plans by Whatelse(m) : 7:44 pm On Jul 18

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has
expressed strong confidence that President
Mmuhammadu Buhari will survive any
impeachment plans against him.
The Progressive Governors’ Forum, the body
consisting governors of the APC, declared that
Nigerians will not support any impeachment
move against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, while
speaking on behalf of the PGF at the
governorship election rally of the party, affirmed
that “the people’s power was behind Buhari”.
His words, “We know that corruption will fight
back and it is fighting back. And that is why we
went for a tested Army general to lead the
corruption fight. They will fight back but they
will be crushed.
“We reaffirm our confidence in the President,
we don’t want any impeachment, and we stand
for democracy. The coup was resisted in Turkey
that is how Nigerians will resist any attempt to
impeach the President.
“The anti-corruption war must go on, Nigeria’s
economy will be repositioned and the people will
be witnesses to prosperity. Peace is already
returning to the North East. It will return to the
Niger Delta and Nigeria will be prosperous
again.”
It would be recalled that in a closed door
session of the National Assembly on Tuesday 5,
July 2016, a motion of impeachment was moved
by a Senator but was met with mixed reactions
other lawmakers.

Robber slumps after own charm touched his body"pic" by Whatelse(m) : 7:52 pm On Jul 19

A suspected robber, who is a member of a four-
man gang, Nnamdi Onu, could not believe his
eyes when the charm he used for his operations
turned out to be his nemesis as he slumped and
passed out when the charm hit his body
» while on an operation at Anthoy Village in
Lagos State.

According to the State Police Command, Onu
and his gang specialised in attacking
commuters at Anthony Bus Stop. They
dispossessed them of cash and and other
valuable items until he met his waterloo on
Friday, July 15, following a foiled operation
when he and his gang resumed for their
operation at the bus stop at about 5.45am.
Immediately they began robbing commuters
waiting to board buses to their respective
destinations but at about 7am, the report
continued, the gang snatched a bag from a lady
and as they were fleeing the scene, Onu was
chased down and apprehended by a mob.
He was alleged to have brought out the charm
from his pocket and attempted to hit anyone,
who dare get close to him but as the crowd
retreated, Onu inevitably hit himself with the
amulet » . He fell on the ground and passed out
at the impact.
He was arrested on the spot by policemen and
in his confession, the Junior Secondary School
(JSS2) drop out said:
“I was lured into morning raid by my friend,
Wasiu. I used to be a private guard at a site in
Ogun State. The charm was meant for protection,
in case of any attack by intruders. If used on
anyone, the person will faint but won’t die.
There are some that can cause an opponent to
run mad, but I decided to use this because I did
not want anybody’s blood to be on my head.
Wasiu only invited me to come to Anthony Bus
Stop, but he did not tell me he was going for an
operation."

"When I saw them snatching bags from female
victims in particular, I could not turn back
because I was afraid he could harm me. I have
brought shame to my father, who has already
made arrangement for me to start apprenticeship
in fashion designing by Monday (today).
I could not conclude my secondary education due
to the demise of my mother, who was solely
responsible for my education.”

Touch Not My anointed Young man shares his frustrations while dating a born again Christian by Whatelse(m) : 3:47 am On Jul 21

A young man by the name of Victor Daniel,
thought he would play the fast one on a
staunch born again Christian lady when he
began a relationship with her but he met
his match in her resolve that there would
be no s*x » as long as the affair lasted.

Daniel who took to his Facebook wall to narrate
how he dated the Lords Chosen Charismatic
Church member, narrated how he took to
masturbation while thinking of s*x » with the
lady he identified as Sister Ifeoma , and all
ended without him getting past first base.
Read his story here:
"Sister Ifeoma and I had a very interesting
relationship. We dated for four years and two
months and were very sexually exclusive. She was
a member of The Lord's Chosen. The closest I'd
ever been to having s*x with her was a very tight
hug that lasted as long as 27 seconds. After
which she asked for forgiveness from God.
Sister Ifeoma, who insisted I added "Sister" as a
prefix to her name, never let me see any part of
her body that was meant to be "hidden"...
Including her arms, her laps, and just below her
neck. One day I was lucky enough to see as much
as her elbow. She was so angry and ashamed she
didn't talk to me for 2 months.
After a very long and enduring relationship, I
finally got tired of masturbating while having a
mental picture of what Ifeoma's breasts would
look like, and I broke up. I
n total, we hugged 6 times, twice on my birthday,
once after I went out on an alter call (only
because she promised to do something naughty
with me if I gave my life to Christ- and a hug was
the naughty gift I got). I did not get to see her
boobs till the relationship ended.
She got married soon afterwards. While I was
face-buried in my new girlfriend's v*gina earlier
this morning, Sister Ifeoma called to tell me she
has given birth, and I went to see her today. We
talked a lot, her baby got hungry and she breast
fed the baby, right in my presence."

I just want to tell you all that I've finally seen
Sister Ifeoma's breasts. I just want to know why
she didn't let me see it all the while we dated but
now she's comfortable flaunting it in my
presence."
Good for you!

2017 budget ready in October -Minister by Whatelse(m) : 7:25 pm On Jul 26

The Minister of Budget and National Planning,
Mr Udoma Udo-Udoma said the 2017-2019
Medium Term Expenditure Framework would be
ready and submitted to the National Assembly
for consideration by October.
Udo-Udoma said this in Abuja on Monday at a
Stakeholders Consultative Forum with Civil
Society Groups and organised private sector on
the 2017-2019 Medium Term Expenditure
Framework.
He also said the Federal Government had
expended N2.1 trillion out of the N6.06 trillion
approved budget for 2016 while only N253
billion of the N1.8 trillion earmarked capital
projects had been spent so far.
“Demand and supply factors are expected to
keep crude oil prices low in the medium term
compared to the period prior to mid 2014.
“We are considering a conservative oil price
benchmark of 42.5 dollar per barrel for 2017, 45
dollar per barrel in 2018 and 50 dollar per barrel
in 2019.
“We estimate oil production to be 2.2 million
barrel per day for 2017; 2.3 million barrel per
day in 2018 and 2.4 million barrel per day for
2019.
“We have pegged exchange rate for 2017, 2018
and 2019 at N290 to a dollar,” he said.
Even though he did not give the projected total
expenditure for the government, he talked about
the revenue projection for the 2017-2019 MTEF.
“A significant increase in non-oil revenue
receipts is projected due to a gradually
recovering domestic economy and government’s
expected improvement in FIRS tax collection
efforts.
“Company Income Tax is projected to increase
from N1.79 trillion in 2016 to over N1.86 trillion
in 2017 and beyond.
“VAT collections to increase by about 42.4 per
cent 2017. Operating surpluses projection have
been moderated downwards for 2017 and
thereafter a modest growth.
“Customs collections are projected to
moderated downwards for 2017 and thereafter a
modest growth,” he said.
Udo-Udoma said that recoveries of
misappropriated and looted funds would also
form part of their anticipated revenue for the
years to come.
Meanwhile, The Lead Director, Centre for Social
Justice, Mr Eze Onyepere, said government
should learn and build on the mistakes of the
2016 budget.
“We should draw lessons from the mistakes of
the last budget. We have all seen that the
revenue projections for 2016 were over
optimistic.
“This is why we are finding it difficult to get
money to fund the budget especially the capital
expenditure.
“In 2017 onwards, we should be more empirical
in our revenue forecast. Let it be more realistic
so that there won’t be a deviation of more than
minus or plus five percent.
“This is because if we have more money, we
can do supplementary budgets rather than have
an overly optimistic revenue projections and at
the end of the day we are not able to fund our
budget,” he said.
Also, the Governance Programme Manager,
Actionaid Nigeria, Mr Obo Effanga, reminded the
government of the limited time it had to fulfill
its promises.
“This administration is a four-year period and
one year has gone already and even the
government had admitted that the last year will
be given to politics, so effectively they have just
two years left.
“And we are preparing the budget for one of the
two years remaining so if we don’t make sure
that this works very well, it means that we can
only look up to 2018,” he said.
Effang commended the Federal Government for
its decision to actively involve the civil society
in the process leading to the preparation of the
budget.
He said it was the first time in many years.

Gunfire In Abuja As Armed Robbers Steal N4.3m From Access Bank Customer (Photos) by Whatelse(m) : 7:30 pm On Jul 26

Pandemonium broke out in the
early hours of Monday in
Kubwa, a satellite town in
Abuja, as residents woke up to
the sound of sporadic shooting
by daredevil armed robbers
who robbed an Access Bank
customer of N4.3million in
front of the bank. The robbery
took place at about 10 o’clock
at the bank branch at Phase 4,
when the robbers, arriving in
commando-style, blocked the
car of the customer, who had
come to deposit money.
Jubril Mohammed, an
eyewitness, told
SaharaReporters that the
victim was a staff of Total
Filling Station who came to
deposit the money in the
bank. “I was standing right
here when I saw a car in high
speed and stopped right in
front of the bank and four men
came out with guns and they
started shooting at a car. One
of them opened the trunk of
the car and removed a bag
filled with money”. The
robbers, who brandished
sophisticated weapons, had
followed their victim from the
petrol station when they
somehow learned he would be
taking some cash to the
bank. They carted away the
sum of N4.3 million, leaving
the victim’s vehicle perforated
with bullets, but he received no
injuries. A member of staff of
Etisalat, who operates a mobile
shop in front of the bank,
received a gunshot wound
during the melee and was
rushed to the hospital.

9yr Old Boy Chained In Celestial Church For Weeks Narrates His Shocking Story; by Whatelse(m) : 4:59 am On Jul 27

Nine-year-old Korede Taiwo was chained
for months by his father, Francis Taiwo,
the pastor in charge of Key of Joy
Celestial Church of Christ, Ajibawo area in
Atan Ota, Ado-Odo Ota Local Government
Area of Ogun State.
The young boy has narrated his heart-
rending experience to SUNDAY PUNCH.
The boy told Punch that he would not want
to live with his father and step-mother
again.
He said:
‘‘I was not fed regularly
when I was chained. My
father and my step-mother
only fed me twice a day.
Some days, I was not given
any food. I want to go back
to school because I want to
be a doctor in the future. I
also do not want to go back
to my father’s house.’’
The boy was rescued on Friday by men of
the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence
Corps alongside
officers from the Ogun State Command
attached to the Onipanu Division, Ota,
inside a room where his father, who is now
on the run, chained him.
SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that the pastor’s
neighbours alerted the security agents to
the incident and they swung into action.
It was further gathered that Korede
allegedly always stole and usually ran
away from home.
These acts, SUNDAY PUNCH learnt, made
his father to believe he was ‘possessed’
and he started chaining him since January
in an attempt to cast out the supposed
‘spirit’ in him.
Sometime in May, Francis was said to have
taken Korede to a river with the chain on
his neck for a deliverance bath.
Speaking further, Korede admitted that he
stole many times in the neighbourhood and
also stole a pot of soup in his father’s
house.
He said:
‘‘It is true that I stole a pot
of soup and bowl of eba in
our house. I also stole in the
neighbourhood. My father’s
inability to give money to my
step-mother for the upkeep
of the family caused it. But I
promised not to go back to
my old ways.’’
He also told Punch that he no longer
attended any school because he was
caught trying to steal from a food vendor
in school.
Korede added that he was a pupil in Onse
Community Primary School near Ajibawo,
before he was withdrawn recently.
‘‘I still want to return to
school. I want to be a
medical doctor, ’’ he said.
Speaking to SUNDAY PUNCH, Korede’s
step-mother, identified as Kehinde, who is
nursing a two-month-old baby, said she had
warned her husband many times to desist
from the nature of discipline he was
meting out to Korede.
She said:
“I usually warned him
concerning the way he
chained Korede. I had
reported him to his twin
brother, Kehinde, who lives
in Ota, and I also reported
to a friend of his.
“When the two talked to
him, he would relax a bit,
but as soon as they left, he
would return to his old
ways.”
She stated that she did not know the
whereabouts of her husband, adding that
they were both from the Republic of Benin.
“We got married three years
ago but I learnt that he was
once married to a woman
from Benin, Edo State. The
woman,I was told, bore him
four children- two boys and
two girls. I only saw the
woman in a picture, I have
never met her physically. She
was said to have left nine
years ago, shortly after she
gave birth to Korede,” she
added.
According to her, she has never maltreated
Korede in any way. She said,
“All I have been doing is to
beg him to stop stealing, as
such act does not portray
the family in good light.”
The Ogun State Police Public Relations
Officer, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, told SUNDAY
PUNCH that the police had launched a
manhunt for the fleeing pastor, adding that
the Assistant Inspector-General of Police
in charge of Zone 2 Command, Abdulmajid
Ali, had taken over the matter.
He said:
“The police operatives of the
command attached to the
Onipanu Division rescued
Korede from where he was
chained on the neck to a
heavy log of wood in a room
by his biological father,
Pastor Francis Taiwo, for
more than a month.
“The stepmother of Korede,
Kehinde, who has been
arrested by the police,
revealed that Korede’s
father’s cruel act was
connected with the habit of
stealing exhibited by Korede.
“The Assistant Inspector-
General of Police in charge
of zone 2 Command, Lagos,
who is presently on the
ground in Ogun State,
Abdulmajid Ali, has
condemned the pastor’s
criminal and inhuman act
and directed that the matter
be properly handled, while
the fleeing pastor be
apprehended without delay.
“The AIG has ordered that
the young boy be given
proper medical attention. He
will soon be handed over to
the Ministry of Women
Affairs and Social
Development in Ogun State
for necessary action.

Prisons wardress dismissed for smuggling alcoholic drinks to prisoners by Whatelse(m) : 7:35 pm On Jul 27

A female Prisons staff attached to Kirikiri
female prisons, Lagos has been shown the way
out of service owing to alleged smuggling of
alcoholic drinks into the prison yard.
The dismissal letter signed on behalf of the
Controller-General of Prisons by the officer
incharge of discipline, DCP Agun Olatunji Esq,
stated that the staff was found guilty of
negative activities which borders on trafficking,
an act that contravenes the enabling provisions
of Sections 14 (i) (a) and Section 82 (n) of
Prisons Act Cap P.29 LFN 2004 and punishable
under Sections 14 (i) (g) and Section 83 of
same Act.
Trafficking, in prisons parlance, is the act of
smuggling prohibited item(s) or unauthorized
information into or out of the prison yard. The
offence is usually viewed seriously because of
its potential threat to security, DCP OF Enobore
Head, Public Relations NPS, said in a
statement.
He revealed that cases of inmates making
illegal phone calls from their cells, organising
jail breaks, having access to weapons, escapes,
etc are all traced to trafficking sometimes
perpetrated by staff and this has often been a
source of embarrassment not only to the
Service but the nation at large. Such
compromising acts no doubt, do not augur well
for the security of a custodial institution like the
P risons Service and also put the lives of
innocent staff and inmates in serious danger, he
added.
Part of the statement reads: “The arrest of the
wardress is certainly an indication of the dawn
of a new era in prison management in Nigeria
and a justification of the recent mass re-
deployment of officers and men nationwide to
strengthen security.
