This is different.. A Russian man proposed to his girlfriend by hiding a ring inside his stomach wound. The man from Russia's Karachay-Cherkess Republic, had a friend film as his bemused partner, who is also a nurse, tries to extract the jewellery.
She then bursts into tears after realising what the embedded object is and agrees to the proposal - though stops to wash the ring before putting it on.

It is not known how the man became injured, though local media reports he came up with the prank after convincing a surgeon to hide the ring inside the wound.

He then asked his girlfriend to change the dressing, before sitting back to watch.

The man - who also presented his bride-to-be with a bouquet of roses, told local media that he wanted a way to make his proposal unforgettable.

However, not everybody was convinced by his gesture after the video was uploaded to Russian social media sites.

Olaogun, 34, a microbiologist, a dismissed civil servant, was two weeks ago arrested by the officials of Rapid Response Squad. The officers acted on phone report to RRS Control Room of a fraud by one Mr Kelvin Oyenuga over the supply of 25 units of HP laptop to the Lagos State Ministry of Works, Alausa, through Olaogun Tunde.
Olaogun, through connections was linked up with Oyenuga for the supply of 25 laptops amounting to N4, 625,000:00. In making a N2.5m payment before delivery, Olaogun initiated a fake online transfer from a Keystone Bank to Oyenuga’s GTB account. He immediately showed a fake debit alert on his phone to Oyenuga. On delivery, the same day, he issued another dud cheque of N2.125m.

For more than two months, Olaogun employed one trick or the other to buy time for himself while he offered to a Lagos Island computer dealer, the 25 laptops he bought from Oyenuga at N150,000:00 each, a N35,000:00 short of the initial buying price.

To settle the case Oyenuga, Olaogun had requested RRS officers follow him to Lagos Island to retrieve the 25 laptops from the buyer. According to him, “I had an understanding with him. We retrieve the laptops. Once my LPO is ready, I would pay off the buyer”.
By the second day of investigation into the case, three fresh cases of fraud initiated by Olaogun Tunde had surfaced. The complaints were microfinance banks, who the suspect had used a Fake Bank Statements to secure loans amounting to N3.7m.

Coincidentally, a day later, two ex-girlfriends of Olaogun were at RRS’s headquarters. They alleged that the suspect took N750,000:00 in October, 2016 and N500,000:00 in April 2017 from them to help them get a Toyota Matrix and a Nigerian used car. And, as typical of him, Olaogun had regaled them with endless stories – no car, no money.
His latest girlfriend whose red Toyota Corolla he borrowed for his fraudulent transactions, Dunni Anifowoshe, 29, disclosed that the suspect was dismissed from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment, Alausa, in 2015.

Olaogun, while explaining the circumstance said he used the name of his Ministry to facilitate the procurement of vehicles at Affordable Cars without the knowledge of the State Government. When he couldn’t pay for the cars, it became a crisis that cost him his job.

Before Olaogun Tunde case was transferred to the State CID, Panti, Yaba, two other microfinance banks had filed in fresh petition of N1.5 million and N4 million respectively against him.

A seven-man robbery gang, which included 2 siblings, have been arrested by the police in Ogun State for allegedly breaking into a Coca-Cola warehouse in the Ota area of the state.

According to Punch, the suspects identified as Ikechukwu Onwe, 40, and 35-year-old Chukwunma Onwe and five others reportedly stole several pieces of heavy duty batteries, truck engines, air cleaners, radiators, and cartons of insecticide, valued at N30m from the warehouse.

The sibling and their gang members, Onyebuchi Muruako, 37; Obiora Onyemuazu, 49; Chidi Monday, 36, and Mutiu Olodigbo, 40, were led to the warehouse by a ringleader, who is still at large, in a truck on Monday.

It was gathered that they were offloading the stolen goods at Monday’s house in Alishiba, Sango Ota, around 6am when they were caught by some vigilantes in the area, who alerted the police at the Onipanu division.

A team of operatives, led by the Divisional Police Officer, ACP Muyideen Obe, responded to the distress call and arrested six suspects, while the gang leader escaped.

A source told PUNCH correspondent that the truck and the stolen goods had been recovered by the team.

The source said;

“They were rounded up while they were discharging the items in Alishiba. They broke into the Coca-Cola warehouse in Ota early in the morning and carted away valuables worth N30m. All the items, including radiators, and heavy duty batteries, were recovered from them.

“The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed that the case should be transferred to FSARS for discreet investigation.”

The Government of Sierra Leone has sent a high-powered team to Nigeria to understudy the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

The delegation, which is being headed by the country’s Presidential Adviser on Youth, Dr. Sheku G. Kamara, was at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters yesterday to interact with the Management team.

Kamara said the purpose of the visit was to enable Sierra Leone learn from Nigeria’s experience to enable it improve its own National Youth Service.

“We researched a lot to learn from all countries that have voluntary youth services after graduation from University, and I am proud to say Nigeria emerged from our research as the best example in Africa.

“The purpose of this study tour is to find out what have been your successes, what have been your challenges, and what we should look for to make ours a strong one,” he added.

The Sierra Leonean team is also scheduled to visit some Orientation camps in the country for on-the-spot monitoring of activities during the on-going 2017 Batch ‘A’ Orientation course.

The house you live in is being paid for by others, the car you drive na dash, the supposed business you own, you are not making a dime from. My sister/brother, quit living large and forming rich on other people largesse. Forming oga madam on top nothing! You only have right to flaunt your own sweat. If not, siddon Jeje and make less noise please! We don’t need to turn to beggers to help one another. We all could be one another’s helper. If you are Moji’s friend/colleague and you didn’t contribute a dime towards helping to move her down, you should take her picture down!
