Addressed those questioning her culinary skills, the reality star claimed she is a great cook but just didn’t like displaying her skills in the kitchen because it is too stressful.

Bella, who said she’s all about soft life, argued that cooking does not keep a home stressing that she has work so hard to be able to make life easier for herself.

She said: “Any small thing, Bella can’t cook, Bella learn how to cook. Bella cooking keeps a home blah blah blah. I really don’t know where you guys got this.

“I’m a good cook that just doesn’t like cooking. As long as the people that should complain, don’t mind. Please spare me the yarns.

The Lagos State Police Command has condemned the attack on some members of the Labour Party (LP) at Jakande ward by some miscreants on Saturday.

Spokesman of the Lagos State police command, Benjamin Hundeyin in a statement posted on his official Twitter handle,  said the attack was reported by the Jakande ward chairman.

Hundeyin said four persons who were injured in the attack have been given medical attention, adding that the DPO Ilasan has commenced preliminary investigations while SCID is to fully take over investigations.

“The injured and other witnesses are assisting the Police with relevant information that would aid the apprehension and prosecution of the attackers,” Hundeyin also said.

“This attack is reprehensible! It is verifiable that the Command had stationed, since yesterday, patrol vehicles and officers at the Tafawa Balewa Square venue of today’s rally. We had already secured the venue to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

“The regrettable attack happened about 15km away from the rally venue. As earlier stated, the SCID will take over investigations towards apprehending and prosecuting the attackers.”

Jakande Ward Chairman of Labour Party commendably reported an attack on his party members at Ilasan Division. Four injured persons have been given medical attention. DPO Ilasan has commenced preliminary investigations while SCID is to fully take over investigations.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a suspected internet fraudster, also known as “Yahoo Boy“, Chidozie Kingsley Nwachi, (a.k.a Dozie) for allegedly marrying an American: Nicole Kierulff Sayers falsely, and defrauded her $200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) in the process.

False Marriage: EFCC Arrests ‘Yahoo Boy’ For Duping American $200,000

The ” Yahoo Boy” was arrested in Abuja on Wednesday,  based on the claims of Sayers, alleging that the suspect lured her into a false marriage and defrauded her of her savings.

“I was accustomed to transferring money to him and further felt I had no choice since I had just married him, even though I did not feel confident in my choice to have married him”, she said.

Nwachi’s ploy of defrauding his “wife” was the offer of a phony contract by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Abuja. He allegedly made Sayers finance the execution of the contract until the petitioner contacted the Ministry with the contract papers and discovered that they were fake.

Realising that Nwachi had sold her a dummy,  Sayers lamented:  “I have been suicidal on and off when I  realized he was a fraud, as I was drowning financially and facing bankruptcy”.

Items recovered from the suspect include two cars: Toyota Venza and Lexus ES300, expensive wristwatches, two Apple iPhones, two iPhone laptops, an international passport, and multiple Automated Teller Machine, ATM, cards.

A sum of $2204( Two Thousand, Two Hundred and Four United States Dollars) was also recovered from him.

A statement issued by the EFCC on Wednesday evening said the suspect will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the National Bureau of Statistics (NBC) said Nigeria’s inflation soared to 1.82 per cent in January 2023.

This comes amid the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) naira redesign policy.

January’s inflation rate is a 0.48 per cent point increase from the 21.34 per cent that was recorded in December 2022.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 13,125 kilogrammes of drug substances and arrested 793 suspects in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The NDLEA Commander of the FCT, Kabir Tsakuwa, stated this at a pre-event press briefing on grassroots sensitisation and awareness campaign on the dangers of illicit drugs in Abuja on Tuesday.

Tsakuwa said that 2022 was a fruitful year for the command, adding that records of arrests, seizures, and convictions were impressive.

He added that the agency’s counselling and rehabilitation programmes also yielded positive results in the territory.

According to him, a total of 793 suspects comprising 768 males and 29 females were arrested, and 167 convictions comprised 161 males and six females.

He said, “13,125 kilogrammes of different drug substances were seized and the breakdown of the seized drugs is 12,660.3 kilogrammes of cannabis sativa.

“Others include 21.957 kilogrammes of cocaine, 0.008 kilogrammes of Heroine and 443.693 kilogrammes of different psychotropic substances, 78 persons comprising 74 males and four females with drug use problems were successfully counselled and rehabilitated within the same period”.

A total of 21 suspected internet fraudsters popularly known as “Yahoo Boys” have been arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Benin City, Edo State.

The “Yahoo Boys” were arrested on Tuesday in an early morning operation following actionable intelligence.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren.

Uwujaren gave the names of the “Yahoo Boys” to include Alakpa Marvelous, Hoghomhen Jude Moses, Christopher Odion, Azanuwna Joseph, Godfirst Christopher, Eghosa Osaretin, Onus Honda, Barnabas Alakpa,  Junior Azanuwna, Ehis Inegbinebor Francis, Godbless Eriugo, Imokhai Dickson, Epama Francis,  Ekuma Austin, and Sunday Stanley.

Others are Kelly Alakpa, Amiole Paul, Iweriebor Raphael, Sunday Christian, Imozemhe Raymond, and Agbonghae Anthony.

The statement reads, “Items recovered from them include two Mercedes Benz, two Lexus ES 350, one Lexus RX 330, and one Toyota Camry, HP Laptops, and mobile phones.

“The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court soon.”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that six drug traffickers have been slammed with a total of 156 years imprisonment for offences bordering on drug dealing, transportation, and conspiracy to transport illicit substances filed against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the apology tendered to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi by the British Government over his illegal detention at Heathrow Airport in London.

Recall that Peter Obi was detained and questioned for a duplication offence which suggests that someone has been impersonating him in London.

As a result, the UK government on Thursday afternoon admitted that its immigration official wrongly handed the former Anambra governor a detention note in search of a man who impersonated him to commit perjury, forgery, and identity theft.

British authorities said the uncomplimentary treatment he received was “completely unacceptable,” and thus issued a personal apology.

“Frankly, the Immigration Official’s action – has been appalling – and we are sorry,” Immigration authorities apologised.

Reacting to the development, some Nigerians asked, as the UK did, when will the United States of America apologise to President-elect, Bola Tinubu for illegally collecting the forfeited dollars.

The president-elect, Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to disregard rumours about his health, saying he is strong and ready for the task ahead.

Tinubu stated this on Monday after he arrived Abuja from France where he had gone to rest and plan the transition programme ahead of his inauguration on May 29.

The former Lagos governor, who was alleged to have travelled out of the country due to his failing health, was welcomed by a crowd of supporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the country’s capital.

The President-elect was in company with his wife, Senator Remi Tinubu, and his son, Seyi Tinubu, when he returned to Nigeria after spending one month abroad.

Speaking to the crowd who followed him home after he returned to the country, the President-elect asked Nigerians to ignore reports from rumour mills, adding that he is “very strong”.

He said: “I’m happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed and I’m ready for the task ahead. Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong.”

Asked about his plans for the country, Tinubu said he had been consulting and planning with a view to putting together a strong team so he could hit the ground running once he assumes office on May 29.

On May 29, Tinubu will be sworn in as Nigeria’s president to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari who would be completing his two-term of eight years.

During a press briefing on Thursday in Lagos, the Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan said the examination is expected to commence from Monday, May 8 to Friday, June 23.

Patrick Areghan also stated that a total of 1,621,853 candidates across 20,851 government and private schools registered for the examination.

The new development is coming as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is rounding off the 2023 edition of its entrance examinations into tertiary institutions.

JAMB conducts the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for admission seekers nationwide, and this year’s examination which was scheduled to hold between 25 April and 2 May has been extended to Saturday 6 May for candidates who missed the examination for genuine reasons.

Examination bodies in Nigeria including WAEC, JAMB, National Examination Council (NECO), among others, have always compared notes to adjust their calendars towards avoiding clash of activities.

Most times the same candidates sit the different examinations, and the examination bodies have said it is good to protect their interests by avoiding clashes of timetables.
