Former Inter Milan coach, Antonio Conte is now the new Manager of English club, Tottenham.
Conte appointment was announced on Tuesday following the sack of Nuno Espirito Santo.
The 52-year-old Italian has signed an 18-month contract with an option to extend at Tottenham following successful talks with the club’s hierarchy in London on Monday November 1.
The former Chelsea boss, who guided the Blues to the 2016-17 Premier League title and the FA Cup the following season, has taken up his first managerial post since leaving Inter Milan, where he won last season’s Serie A title.
Conte told Tottenham’s website: “I am extremely happy to return to coaching, and to do so at a Premier League club that has the ambition to be a protagonist again.
“I can’t wait to start working to convey to the team and the fans the passion, mentality and determination that have always distinguished me, as a player and as a coach.
“Last summer our union did not happen because the end of my relationship with Inter was still too recent and emotionally too involved with the end of the season, so I felt that it wasn’t yet the right time to return to coaching.
“But the contagious enthusiasm and determination of Daniel Levy in wanting to entrust me with this task had already hit the mark. Now that the opportunity has returned, I have chosen to take it with great conviction.â€
Conte’s appointment sees him reunited with Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici, who joined the club in the summer after 11 years in a similar role at Juventus.
Paratici said: “We are delighted to welcome Antonio to the club. His track record speaks for itself, with vast experience and trophies in both Italy and England.
“I know first-hand the qualities Antonio can bring to us, having worked with him at Juventus, and look forward to seeing his work with our talented group of players.â€
The club added that further news on Conte’s coaching staff would “follow in due courseâ€.

Usher’s New Look (UNL), a non-profit organization founded by the R&B superstar in 1999, recently announced that it has received a hefty donation. The Truist Foundation has given UNL $500,000 to support its high school leadership program, specifically its financial literacy initiatives, according to a press release.
The $500,000 is the latest amount given to UNL by the Truist Foundation, which has already handed out a total of $1.5 million over five years to help the company’s mission.

A 36-year-old American rapper, Young Dolph, whose real name was Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr has been reportedly shot and killed in Memphis U.S.A.
Three independent law enforcement sources confirmed to FOX13 that rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the shooting took place at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies, a local bakery. The network writes that owner Maurice Hill informed them his employees said Young Dolph walked into the store to buy cookies. Someone then drove up and then shot and killed him.
TMZ adds that a source says the shooter fired “through a front window,†and notes Dolph leaves behind a daughter and son.

Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal has signed the Sokoto state Child Protection bill into law.
The bill was earlier passed by the state House of Assembly to enhance the conditions of children in the state.
He signed the law on Monday at an elaborate ceremony attended by the UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, UNICEF’s Chief Field Officer in Sokoto, Mr Maulid Warfar, Plan International representative, and other dignitaries.
The governor noted that since the enactment of the Child Rights Act 2003 by the Federal Government led by President Olusegun Obasanjo, states were enjoined to domesticate the law which, however, become difficult to due to cultural lifestyle differences.
According to him, the law was among the major landmark achievements of his administration and commended the efforts of the key actors, in ensuring that it suited and conformed with the cultural and religious concerns of the states.
Tambuwal stressed that the state government, under his watch, would continue to live up to the expectations of the people, especially the protection of the lives of growing children and women.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has revealed plans to regulate Netflix and other streaming services in Nigeria.
He spoke on Wednesday, saying the streaming platforms may be exploited to “cause chaos†and undermine Nigeria’s democratic processes.
He stated this at a two-day conference which was to discuss “the implication of Nigeria censorship laws and regulatory framework for Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming services and content providers in Nigeria.â€
Mohammed further stated that the popularity and demand of streaming services in the country has increased following the outbreak of Coronavirus, hence the need to regulate it.
The Minister who was represented by the Director, Information and Technology in the ministry, Comfort Ajiboye, pointed to the belief that social media and streaming services can be used “to cause chaos and undermine democratic processes.â€
The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) organised the conference in Lagos, along with practitioners and stakeholders in the entertainment and creative industry.
The Executive Director and CEO of the NFVCB, Adedayo Thomas, in his open remark said the conference was to brainstorm on creating policies to regulate streamers and content providers in Nigeria.
Thomas said, “With over 50 per cent internet penetration, it has become imperative to convene this conference to bring together stakeholders and legislators in a conversation so as to come up with crystal policies on the regulation of streamers and content providers.â€
He further stated that streaming service providers are unable to self-regulate, reason why their operations are now being discussed at the conference with the theme, “Nigeria Digital Content Regulationâ€.
Thomas, however, noted that “the goal of regulation is not to stifle creativity but to create sanity and encourage healthy competition for socio-economic gains.â€

Participants include members of the various Guilds in Nollywood which included the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN).

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos State over his alleged procurement of a “fabricated†medical report.
The controversial minister and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was marched before Justice O.O Abike-Fadipe by EFCC operatives for possible arraignment around 9am, Punch reports.
He is currently in the court room as of press time.
The anti-corruption agency claimed that Fani-Kayode procured one Dr Ogieva Oziegbe to issue the fake medical report, which he allegedly tendered in before the Federal High Court in his ongoing money laundering trial.
Fani-Kayode was arrested by the EFCC early this month for questioning over alleged forgery.
He was led to a court proceeding at a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Sources close to him stated that he was not arrested but re-invited by the anti-graft agency.
Justice Mohammed Aikawa, however, adjourned the case till January 24, 2022.
It had been reported that Fani-Kayode was earlier brought for questioning over some false documents.

Derek Chauvin has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he violated George Floyd's civil rights after he was convicted this year by a state jury of murder and manslaughter in Floyd's death.
Chauvin, 45, entered the new plea during a hearing in St. Paul, Minnesota, three months after first pleading not guilty to depriving Floyd, who was Black, of his rights when Chauvin knelt on his neck for 9 1/2 minutes while detaining him in May 2020.
Federal prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson that Chauvin agreed to plead guilty to using excessive force on Floyd. Chauvin also admitted guilt in a separate federal indictment in connection with him allegedly depriving a 14-year-old boy of his civil rights during an encounter in September 2017.
He initially pleaded not guilty in September in that case, in which he was accused of holding the teenager, who is Black, by the throat and striking his head multiple times with a flashlight.
