The vice-presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Isaac Idahosa, on Friday, boasted his party would win the 2023 presidential election, IgbereTV reports
Idahosa, who featured in a Programme, said the party would soon flag off its presidential campaign.
The former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwanso had in July unveiled Idahosa, a presiding Bishop and the senior pastor of God First Ministries Inc. popularly known as Illumination Assembly, Lagos, as his running mate for the 2023 election.
The vice-presidential candidate declared that the NNPP has the capacity to win next year’s election.
He said: “You can’t undermine the strength of the NNPP. No one dares ignore the party. We are just five- month-old while one party has been around for 21 years. Those who undermined us before are having a rethink. This is because we are determined to win it.
“The party will spring a surprise soon. The fact is that NNPC is in the race to win and there is no doubt about that. We are consulting and putting necessary apparatus in place. All hands are on deck to ensure that we arrive at our destination.â€

A list showing the number of universities that have called off its strike since the Academic Staff Union of Universities on Friday, October 14, 2022 suspended its industrial action has been made public.
The strike, which commenced on Monday, February 14, 2022, led to a suspension of academic activities in Federal and State Universities across the nation.
ASUU, however, in a press statement released to announce the suspension of the strike encouraged its members to resume to work.

The Jakarta Islamic Center mosque in Indonesia was destroyed by a fire during its renovation on Wednesday, October 19.
Videos shared online show the moment the mosque’s dome collapsed due to the fire.
Firefighters were alerted about the blaze shortly after 3pm local time, with at least ten fire engines being dispatched to the scene, Indonesia media reported.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Media reports suggest that the Islamic Center was undergoing renovations at the time.
No one was injured in the fire or the ensuing collapse. Local media added that police are investigating the cause of the fire and have questioned contractors working in the building.

Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag has vowed to take action against Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal striker stormed away from Manchester United’s victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford before full-time.
