Many times, i begin to wonder why the rate of divorce is alarming even after people go for counselling or do a church wedding.

There are somethings you expect to have been taught or probably heard about. People fall out of love on daily basis for flimsy excuses.

These are some of the things you don’t get to hear before saying ”i do”.

1. Marriage is another school – As much as you know, you keep learning in marriage. It’s an institution where you don’t get tired of learning new things. It is an institution where your inlaws correct you on things you are doing wrong and how to go about it.

2. Marriage causes distance – No matter how close you are to your friends and family members, marriage keeps you busy. The hours you spend on calls wit them constantly reduces. The number of times you see also reduces, it is sometimes as a result of long distance, or ,marriage responsibilities.

3. Marriage changes you- So many people be like, ”my partner was not like this, she was slimmer, he doesn’t really give attention anymore, this and that. Truth is, everyone changes not just your partner. Your status changes, your name changes, you either get fatter or have some stretch marks as a result of child birth. You change your mentality and how you act in public. There are some events you want to attend, but you can’t. There are hangouts you can’t be a part of.

4. In marriage, it is not always a smooth ride – There are times in marriage when you or your partner just feel like staying alone, there are times you just miss home, miss some memories, there are times you cry and smile. There are times you feel good and times you feel sad. There are times you both yell at each other, get mad, confused and have mixed emotions.

5. In marriage, it is not all about you –  Many people always have what they want, their opinions always count when they were single. But it is not always like that in marriage, you must come to a agreement with your partner. It i not all about you. There are times you go out of your way to make your partner happy. Your partner’s family members automatically become yours and you treat them right.

Sometime Back the Lawyer to former Anambra beauty queen, Chidinma Okeke revealed the lady who allegedly coordinated the controversial lesbian sex tape scandal, involving the crowned winner of Miss Anambra 2015 competition.

Barrister Chukwuemeka Ugwuonye, a conveyer of Due Process Advocates, DPA, who gave an update on the story on his Facebook page, gave her name as Jane Emoka.


The then viral video which showed Ms. Okeke in a lesbian act with Ada, her close friend and personal.

It would be recalled that in the said video a third person, whose face did not appear in the video, was behind the camera and her hand was seen parting Ms. Okeke’s legs. That third person is Jane Emoka, a diploma student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University at the time, Ugwuonye stated.


The lawyer wrote:

“The name of the girl behind the camera in the Chidinma Okeke sex video scandal is Jane Emoka and she is also a beauty queen. 

“She was a diploma student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University at the relevant time. She was the one through which the principal figure sold the idea of making a sex video to Chidinma and her roommate, Ada. 

“Jane was the one that used her phone camera to make the video. Jane is the owner of the hand that is seen in the video opening the girls’ legs. 

“She also participated in the sex act. However, she was edited out of the video before it was uploaded on the internet. Why was she edited out? We know the answer to that. The original video was edited at the ABS media studio.

A spurned girlfriend is said to have kidnapped her boyfriend at gunpoint on his wedding day when he was due to tie the knot with a love rival. Ashok Yadav, from Mohanpurwa in Banda district, was getting married to a girl from Maudaha in Hamirpur on Monday night when his ex burst in with six armed men.
They bundled the groom into the back of the car and sped away as hundreds of guests watched on in horror.

Ashok, a compounder, is understood to have had an affair with a local girl before breaking it off early last year.

His family then set him up with his wife and they got engaged.

When the ex-lover heard he was getting married, she begged him repeatedly not to go through with it and even tried to get his parents to call it off, according to police.

A police official involved in the investigation told the Times of India: 'The armed men took Ashok at gunpoint and threatened him to accompany them.

'After bundling him on the rear seat of a car, they sped away,' a police official said.

He was missing for more than 24 hours before the authorities managed to locate him on Tuesday night.

One of the wedding guests said the abduction happened when the couple were going through their tikka rituals - the branding of the forehead with a red mark.

Police in Osun said they had arrested a 13-year-Old boy (name with held) for being in possession of 29 wraps of weed suspected to be Indian hemp and seven wraps of weeds called ‘Sconge.’ The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, made the disclosure at a news conference in Osogbo on Friday.
Adeoye said one Akeem Ojuolape, who gave the ‘weeds’ to the minor to sell was also arrested by the police.

He said one Ahmed Azeez was also arrested along with the duo on May 14, adding that the suspects would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.

The commissioner, however, said the minor would be rehabilitated.

In a related development, Adeoye said two suspects, Saheed Opeyemi, 30 and Idowu Rafiu, 26, were arrested with two unregistered stolen Bajaj Boxer motorcycles.

He said that the suspects were arrested by a team of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad and 39 Police Mobile Force attached to Ilesha Police Area Command.

The commissioner said in the course of interrogation, the suspects confessed to have burgled a shop in Osogbo where the motorcycles were stolen.

He said that the owner of the shop, Mr Ebenezer Adeniji, had identified the two motorcycles, saying that he reported the case at Dugbe Police Division on the same day they were stolen.

He said the suspects would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.

No, it was completely different. Idol was a musical show where we basically sang when we were asked to. But BBNaija was very different and besides, I wasn’t the only one who had been on a reality show. Efe, Bisola and Jon all had the experience.
Why the N25million wasn’t the main motivation for her being on the show

When my mentor visited me on the show, he said winners do not go for the money. The money comes to them. Money is a motivational factor but it wasn’t really my goal.

On her sisterhood with TBoss

The day the Kemen issue started was what marked my relationship with TBoss. When the housemates did not take her own side, I felt it wasn’t fair so I just wanted to hear from her. I was happy I was there for her all through the show. She never ‘rode’ me and even outside the house we are still friends.

Bassey and I are working and I know that we are making progress. I know his girlfriend so we just have an understanding . I connect very well with Bassey creatively.

In the ongoing clearance operation around the fringes of Lake Chad, troops of 8 Task Force Division have continued to hit the few remaining Boko Haram hideouts and what is left of their logistics holding. In the last 72 hours, gallant troops operating in Chikun Gudu, Tumbuma Karami and Tumbuma Baba have neutralized 13 Boko Haram terrorists, while many others escaped with gunshot wounds.

Similarly, troops recovered 3 AK 47 and 1 pump action riffles, assorted riffle magazines and 306 rounds of ammunition, tool box and a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle. In the vein, troops destroyed 2 other Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles, 1 Toyota truck, 2 Motorcycles and 6 bicycles.

In a related development, troops of 242 Battalion, acting on a tip off, rounded up 10 suspected Boko Haram smugglers. The suspects comprising 6 females and 4 males were arrested in Monguno and Nolwodo Malgori with assorted house – hold items, food stuff and 63, 060 Naira cash. The suspects are are being profiled to determine the extent of their involvement in Boko Haram insurgency.

Two fleeing 13-year-old boys, were apprehended by operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command last Monday. It was gathered that the teenagers who fled their parents home in Abuja, were re-united with their parents on Friday.


The teenagers, Chidubem Amaechi, 13 and Chinedu Onyebuchi, 13 were apprehended by the RRS operatives of Monday morning after alighting from an Abuja bus at Ojodu Berger, Lagos. They were sighted wandering, before being invited for questioning.


The children had lied to the officers during interrogations that they were
kidnapped and blindfolded before they were driven to Lagos by their abductors. They added that they escaped from their abductors while they sleeping an under bridge before Ogun –Lagos long bridge.


An investigation into their kidnapping was launched immediately and found to be false. Their parents, who had been looking for them in Abuja, since Sunday, May 14, 2017, were shocked when contacted.


It took 3 days of questioning before, Chidubem opened up that he and Chinedu connived to leave Abuja because of the poor states of the parents.

According to Chidubem, “we noticed that our parents were suffering in order to take of care us.

We decided to come to Lagos and work for sometimes. Whatever we were able to raise in six months, we would handover to our parents for them to start business. We realised that the hardship was too much and that we would be helping them if we leave our families in Abuja in search of better opportunities in Lagos, he stressed.

I brought my N4, 200 savings, while Chinedu added N500 as transport fare to Lagos. We were already in Lagos before we realised that we were simply being stupid. We were wandering about when the officer invited us for questioning.”

The Commander, Rapid Response Squad, ACP Olatunji Disu, who received their parents on the fifth day of being in the Command’s custody in his office, appealed to parents and guardian to monitor and take good care of their wards.


The boys were re-united and released to their parents on Friday after they had promised not repeat their actions again.
