Founder and General Overseer of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Lazarus Muoka has lost his second wife, Joy Muoka, to the cold hands of death. Even though there's yet to be official confirmation from the pastor or the church, reports state that Mrs Muoka died on Sunday 9 July, 2023. The General Overseer is a second-time widower as he had previously suffered the loss of his first wife, a couple of years before his marriage to the now deceased second wife, Mrs Joy Muoka. The cause of Mrs Muoka's death is currently unknown to the public.

The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (popularly called The Lord's Chosen) is a Nigerian Christian megachurch founded by Lazarus Muoka. The church which has its headquarters located along the Oshodi - Apapa Expressway in Surulere local government area of Lagos State started with a few people and went on to experience rapid growth with over 300,000 branches all over the world.  Following in the footsteps of Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo state, Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo has announced the increase of the state's minimum wage to #40,000. The governor who put up a post on social media notifying the public of this increase, stated that the increment was part of a list of palliatives and intervention intended to help the people of Imo State cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal by the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. He added his administration was not oblivion to the recent economic depression prevalent in the country.

In addition to the increase in minimum wage, Governor Hope Uzodimma further added that incentives such as free medical services and one free meal per day, will henceforth be given to workers in Imo State. The governor also assured that the state was earnestly working to revamp the Imo Transport Company so as to enable his administration offer mass transit to the residents of Imo state. Governor Hope Uzodimma pledged that an additional ten buses would be added to the fleet providing free transport services for workers in Imo state.

 Airport Taxi Services at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja has been suspended with immediate effect.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) while announcing the suspension said the move became expedient followed the lingering factional crisis among the car hire operators.

According to FAAN, the factional crisis has been affecting airport car hire service operations.

FAAN's Director, Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua in a statement advised airport users to use alternative transportation means.

 “The FAAN wishes to inform the general public that the airport car hire service at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja has been suspended with immediate effect.

“This is as a result of the unresolved factional dispute amongst the car hire operators which has been affecting airport car hire service operations.

“Consequent upon this suspension, FAAN Management advises the general public and all airport users, particularly our esteemed passengers to use secured alternative means of transportation or E-hailing services in and out of the airport.

“The Management of FAAN regrets any inconvenience this necessary suspension may cause our esteemed passengers, airport users and the general public. Normal Car Hire Services resume as soon as their differences are resolved", the statement read.

 A 35-year old fake doctor, Abawulor Moses Omenka has been apprehended by the Nigerian Medical Association and Association of Nigeria Private Medical Practitioners, Ogun state in their sustained fight against quackery.

Omenka was nabbed during a job interview at Covenant University Hospital Ota on 23rd August, 2023.

According to ANPMP, Omenka will be charged to court after he submitted a fake document in defence of his medical practice claiming he graduated from Benue State University.

The fake documents made available by the secretary of ANPMP Dr. Akin Oyejoko shows that Omenka backed up his quackery practice by producing invalid qualifications, licences with forged signatory stamps to appear before the public as a qualified medical doctor until he was discovered.

An investigation by the IPO at Onipaanu Police Station Ota and ANPMP Secretary Dr. Akin Oyejoko also showed that he is from Benue State but has been practicing with fake documents for a while now.

 Omenka through his action has endangered lives of people under his medical administrations, having worked as a caregiver in some medical facilities as mentioned during interrogation.

He is currently in police custody.
