A source has claimed that contrary to the news circulating on social media, singer, Simisola Ogunleye, popularly known as Simi, has not given birth, Igbere TV reports.

This is according to information made available to IGBERE TV on Saturday.

“Simi is still pregnant but she will give birth any time from now. We are expecting the news at any moment. Her family is with her abroad.

“She was there before the release of ‘Duduke’ video. Right now, she has slowed down with some of her works but she has not given birth. Whenever Simi puts to bed, everybody would know,” the source said.

Simi and her husband, fellow singer, Adekunle Gold, only confirmed that they were expecting their first child when Simi debuted her baby bump in the video for her single, ‘Duduke.’

The video was released on April 19 which was also her 31st birthday.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his nephew, Ibrahim Dauda.

Lawan, in a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, extended his condolences to the Dauda family, the Daura community and the government and people of Katsina over the tragic loss.

The Senate President said he received the news of the death with shock and prayed that the Almighty Allah would comfort those that he left behind.

He also prayed that Allah would forgive the departed his sins and accept his soul to Aljannat Fidaus.

Three hundred and Twelve Indian nationals have been evacuated from Nigeria as a result of the lingering Coronavirus pandemic.

The Indians departed the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos on Sunday morning aboard an Air Peace flight. The 10-hour flight is expected to land at the Cochin International Airport in Kerala later today.

According to the High Commission of India in Abuja, two more flights were scheduled for June 13 (Lagos-Delhi) and June 14 (Lagos-Mumbai).

On Thursday, 325 Chinese men and women residing in Lagos were also evacuated back to their country.

As Nigerians continue to speak against rape and sexual violence on women, a Twitter user @anitaihekweme, has shared the story of how she got into a wrong bus filled with ”one chance hoodlums” who took turns in inserting their fingers inside her vagina and how the incident affected her mentally.

Legendary Reggae star, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek died in New York on June 1.

It has now been revealed that he died after battling with cancer for almost a year, according to Vanguard.

The news of his death was announced by artiste manager Joy Tongo. Majek Fashek’s manager, Uzoma Day Omenka confirmed the news on the singer’s Instagram page on Tuesday morning. According to him, he died at 11.45 pm June 1, 2020, Nigerian time.

He also confirmed the singer died in New York, not in London where he was previously receiving treatment. Uzoma said the doctors advised he should be moved close to his family, which influenced his being moved to New York where his wife and three sons live.

He said Majek was separated from his family for 10 years until last year September when they were reunited on the advice of his doctors that he should be close to his family.

“We moved him from London to New York last September on the advice of the doctors that he should stay close to the family. Majek reunited with his family last year after 10 years of separation. He died in their company, ” Uzoma said.

Majek, who was born on March 7, 1963, was 57 years old when he died.

Details of his funeral arrangement will be made available in due time.

The Rwandan government has denied reports that it expelled 18 Chinese nationals for making employees work long hours.

The reports circulating online said that President Paul Kagame had ordered for the deportation.

However, the ministry of foreign affairs tweeted that the reports were “fake news”:

Details have emerged on how Boko Haram terrorists killed the Acting Commanding Officer, 401 Special Forces Brigade Signals of the Nigeria Army, Major K Yakubu, and wounded one soldier during an attack in Borno State on Tuesday.

Reports exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters shows that the military commander was killed after decimating Boko Haram camp in Doron Naira, an island in Lake Chad, and Nigerian border area of Baga.

SaharaReporters gathered that the troops advance was delayed as vehicles broke down which resulted in the burning of vehicle clutches and overheating of radiators.

The troops also had to stop many times to fix burst tires due to extremely harsh weather and sandy nature of the terrain, amongst others.

The troops arrived at Doron Naira Village (N13° 11' 34.94 E13° 36' 52.61") on June 1 and cleared the partially deserted settlement.

Items recovered included one x 120mm mortar base plate, one x Motorbike, one x BHT Flag, one Holy Qur'an, metal links for AA rounds and a roll of copper wire.

 Huts, fire trenches and other home utensils found at the hideout were destroyed before the withdrawal of the troops.

Two Boko Haram terrorists were killed in the shootout. Other items captured include one x AA gun, 2 x AK47 rifles and assorted AA rounds.

The troops were, however, attacked by the terrorists Tuesday at about 1530hr at coordinate N13° 11' 50.44" E13° 36' 51.44. Troops responded with overwhelming firepower, forcing the terrorists to withdraw.

SaharaReporters gathered that an advance team arrived Baga Wednesday. .

“Casualty on troops/equipment are one Killed In Action (Maj K Yakubu - Acting CO 401SF Bn), One Wounded In Action soldier while one x COBRA APC, one x mini-workshop (Toyota Hilux) and one x ATEGO truck that could not be repaired or recovered was destroyed in the operation,” a source who was part of the operation told SaharaReporters.

Equatorial Guinea have reportedly sacked a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) for “falsifying” the country’s figures of Coronavirus cases.

AFP confirmed the news, citing a document from the foreign ministry and a source at the UN health agency

The international news agency claimed WHO’s representative Triphonie Nkurunziza is accused of “falsifying” the country’s tally of coronavirus cases. But the doctor remains in Malabo for now because there are no outbound flights to enable her to leave the country.

“We don’t have a problem with the WHO, we have a problem with the WHO’s representative in Malabo,” Prime Minister Pascual Obama Asue, told the Senate late last week

AFP quotes a source at the UN office in the capital, Malabo, as saying: “The government has asked her to go, we have received a document – she is accused of falsifying COVID-19 figures”.

As of Thursday morning, there have been 1306 confirmed cases of Coronavirus Equatorial Guinea with 12 deaths, 200 recoveries, and 1094 active cases.

Last month, Burundi also sacked a World Health Organization’s top official and three experts after they raised concerns about crowded political rallies days before the country’s presidential election.

An elderly man, 75, hit his head on the floor and started bleeding after cops shoved him during a protest in New York.

The incident happened on Thursday, June 4, following protests in Buffalo, New York, and the incident was captured on video.

In the video shared online, the 75-year-old man is seen falling backwards and hitting his head on the steps of Buffalo City Hall after he was pushed by police.

Initially, it was claimed that he stumbled and fell but the video told a different story and two police officers involved have been suspended without pay.

After the man fell, one of the officers tried to go back and help him but the other stopped him. Spectators can be heard screaming that the man is bleeding but the officers concentrated on physically assaulting another man.

The man was eventually taken away from the scene by an ambulance. A source told WIVB that the man who fell in the video suffered from a laceration and a possible concussion.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown tweeted on Thursday night that the elderly man was in “stable but serious condition” at the Erie County Medical Center Hospital. He said he was “deeply disturbed” by the video.

Brown said: “Tonight, after a physical altercation between two separate groups of protesters participating in an illegal demonstration beyond the curfew, two Buffalo Police officers knocked down a 75-year-old man… After days of peaceful protests and several meetings between myself, Police leadership and members of the community, tonight’s event is disheartening. I hope to continue to build on the progress we have achieved as we work together to address racial injustice and inequity in the City of Buffalo.”

Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo also condemned the action of the officers involved, writing: “This incident is wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful. I’ve spoken with Buffalo @MayorByronBrown and we agree that the officers involved should be immediately suspended pending a formal investigation. Police Officers must enforce — NOT ABUSE — the law.”

Buffalo Police Department Captain Jeff Rinaldo told CBS News later Thursday night that “the Police Commissioner has immediately suspended two officers without pay in connection with the incident observed in the video.”

Rinaldo said the department has launched an internal affairs investigation.

Rev. Chris Okotie has rejected the latest guidelines issued by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the reopening of worship centres.

In a statement released in Lagos, on Friday, the Pastor of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos described the guidelines as an ‘abomination of desolation.’

He vowed: “Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven.”

It will be recalled that Governor Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, rolled out new guidelines for the reopening of worship centres which restricted church attendance to 500 members.

He also said those who are 65 and above and below 15 years of age cannot attend. The measures, according to the governor, is meant to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, Rev Okotie, who had last Monday in a widely published statement lashed out at CAN for proposing similar guidelines, said government cannot reorder worship in the house of God.

He said, “Beloved, yesterday, the abomination of desolation took a giant step towards standing in the holy place.

“To reorder temple worship is to deny God the divine prerogative of congregational adoration and the holy genuflects of the saints in light.

“Let no man’s heart be troubled by the vengeance of satanic antagonism. Dagon the god of the philistines fell in obeisance before the Ark of God.

“Coronavirus, the god of Secular Humanism will be decapitated in like manner. Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven.

“Unto him shall the gathering of the people be. To thy tents O Israel.”

Mrs Queen Igbinevbo, the pregnant wife of Comrade Promise Igbinevbo is reported to have died after being raped at her home in Benin.

According to report, Mrs Igbinevbo was attacked by unknown men who gained entrance into the home through the ceiling.

A source who spoke to LIB said the hoodlums were looking for her husband, Comrade Promise Igbinevbo, who is a Governorship Campaign Coordinator. However, when they couldn’t find him at home on May 20, 2020, they raped and murdered his wife.

The body of the deceased was discovered by neighbours who were worried that they have not seen her in a while.

A source said: “When we could not see Queen, I came to check if she was fine, because she lives alone, we met her naked, blood and foam was coming out of her mouth. There was semen all over her body.

“We had to call her husband who is staying in another place.”

The source also disclosed that neighbours reported seeing strange men on the street just days before the tragic incident.

The rape and murder of Queen Igbinevbo have since sparked a demonstration in Benin. On Friday, June 5, protesters took to Edo State Police Command to demand justice for the deceased.

The source also revealed that three people have been arrested in relation to Mrs Queen Igbinevbo’s brutal murder.

2016 US Presidential candidate and former First lady, Hilary Clinton, has questioned why people still support US President Donald Trump despite his behavior since becoming president four years ago.

According to Clinton it’s a mystery to her ‘why anybody with a beating heart and a working mind still supports him’

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Clinton, as has become customary of her interviews since losing to Trump in 2016, held nothing back in her criticism of the president.

‘It is a mystery why anybody with a beating heart and a working mind still supports him,’ Hilary said when asked about Trump’s photo shoot last week in front of a church that had been set on fire as part of riots.

‘It was beyond my comprehension,’ she continued.

‘We have never seen anything like this. He is without shame.’

Speaking on the president’s response to Floyd’s death at the hands of a white police officer, Clinton said it initially seemed promising before he changed course from the issues of police brutality to bashing rioters as ‘anarchists’ for destroying cities across the country in the wake of mass protests.

‘When we have a terrible killing like we did in Minneapolis, he makes some steps toward — in the very early hours after we all saw that horrific video — to look like he’s going to be empathetic, to look like he’s going to try to talk about this stripping bare of the continuing racism and inequities of law enforcement and justice system,’ she said.

‘And then he pivots again because he’s not comfortable doing that,’ she added.

Clinton praised protesters tdemanding reform in the police system.

‘If you look at the young people who are the primary movers of the peaceful protests in response to Mr. Floyd’s killing, I’m hopeful that this can break open not only some hearts but some structural impediments to equality and justice in a way that defies the distraction of the second-to-second demands of social media,’ Clinton said.

‘And it may well be that a leader like [Donald] Trump, who depends upon distraction, has finally been brought down to Earth because people are watching in real time what is happening and how inadequate his response has been to these historic moments,’ she added.

She also slammed police for deploying tear gas and pepper spray to clear a crowd of protesters in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church near the White House so Trump could pose with a Bible saying the president made troubling circumstances like the COVID-19 pandemic and George Floyd’s death ‘all about him.’

‘If it’s about a terrible pandemic with an unprecedented virus, he tries to ignore it, tries to keep the attention on himself, Then when it becomes impossible to do that, he tries to seize the moment and turn it into a daily rally, like he loves to do,’ she said.

‘And then when it becomes impossible to ignore, he tries to change the subject, he tries to withdraw from the spotlight so he can come up with some other diversion and distraction for the body politic and the press,’ Clinton continued.

She also claimed that she thought Trump would transform into the type of person who becomes presidential on Inauguration Day in 2017, and that George Bush who she sat beside was not pleased either.

‘I heard him get up and give that speech that was the absolute opposite of anything that could have brought the country together,’ she said of the January 2017 speech. ‘Politics should be about addition, about finding common ground. No, he was speaking to his outraged base.’

‘He just turned to me and said, ‘That was some weird s—.’ And every single day has been a surprise, an unpleasant surprise, about how there seems to be no bottom to this man and his presidency,’ she continued.

Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos has shared an email he received from an angry customer expressing his dissatisfaction over his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Recall, the World’s richest man declared his support for the Black Lives Matter movement and announced a $10 million donation to organizations working to bring about social justice and improve the lives of Black and African Americans in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

Posting the email to his Instagram page, a man named Dave revealed he had been placing an order with Amazon when he discovered Bezos’ statement of support for Black Lives Matter and immediately cancelled it.

The man also stated that he was ending his business relationship with Amazon.

In response to Dave, Jeff Bezos wrote: ‘There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post. This sort of hate shouldn’t be allowed to hide in the shadows. It’s important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem.

And, Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.’

This comes days after Bezos shared an email exchange between himself and another angry customer on Instagram.

The customer said it was “disturbing” and “offensive” that Amazon posted a “Black Lives Matter” banner on its website. He also pointed out to him that “All Lives Matter.”

In his response to the customer: Bezos wrote: “I have to disagree with you.”

″‘Black Lives Matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter. Black lives matter speaks to racism and the disproportionate risk that Black people face in our law enforcement and justice system.”

The Senior Pastor of Trinity House Church, Lagos, Ituah Ighodalo, has broken silence on the death of his wife, Ibidun.

Goldmynetv reported that Ibidun died on Sunday morning in Port Harcourt after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest.

Ibidun, before her death was working in Bayelsa and Rivers States, assisting with the building of isolation centres for COVID-19 patients.

Speaking on her death, Pastor Ighodalo, while officiating a burial service in his church, said the news of his wife’s death at 2am shattered his life.

He went further describing life as a mystery which no one would ever understand.

In a video, he said: “At 2am, I received a call that shattered my entire life.

“We do not have control over most things in life, how you were born, which womb you came from and your race.

“Life is a deep mystery no one even as wise as Solomon can tell you they understand life
