ACPP CONDEMNS COURT CASE AGAINST SENATOR DEMOLA ADELEKE, CALLS BOOT PARTY AN APPENDAGE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC) by synw(m) : 8:23 pm On Apr 08

ACPP CONDEMNS COURT CASE AGAINST SENATOR DEMOLA ADELEKE, CALLS BOOT PARTY AN APPENDAGE OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC)

The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has condemned the felonious court case instituted against the People's Democratic Party Governorship Candidate in Osun State by the Governorship Candidate of the Boot Party, Adesoji Adeleke.

In a Statement issued by a Chieftain of the Alliance, Wole Adedoyin who was also the 2018 Governorship Candidate of the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) said the case is baseless, mischievous and full of contradictions to ridicule Senator Demola Adeleke and the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

ACPP said the suit against Senator Demola Adeleke was in bad faith and targeted by undemocratic elements to undermine democracy and good governance in Osun State.

Adedoyin said: The Boot Party has become an appendage of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun State. Are they members of the PDP to take the party and her candidate to court? The name of the party was only listed among the parties contesting to assist the APC winning the Poll. The party is not serious about winning the forthcoming Osun Governorship Election. The Electorates should disregard them."

ACPP finally called on the Osun Electorates to see the Boot Party as one of the unserious Political Parties participating in the forthcoming Osun Governorship Poll.

WITHDRAWAL OF ELECTION SUIT AGAINST INEC, PDP AND SENATOR ADELEKE IN OSUN STATE by synw(m) : 3:13 am On Apr 09

WITHDRAWAL OF ELECTION SUIT AGAINST INEC, PDP AND SENATOR ADELEKE IN OSUN STATE

Dear Elders, Sisters and Brothers,

I wish to correct all derogatory and innuendoes against my personality on social media Platforms regarding the above subject.

On my authority as the National Chairman of The BOOT Party, I wish to state unequivocally and without any mental reservation that The BOOT Party did not authorise the suit instituted in Osun State challenging the electoral candidacy of Senator Adeleke. When The BOOT Party became aware of the suit through the news, I immediately activated our process instrument for issues like this. Our findings showed that the suit was clandestinely and surreptitiously instituted.

The BOOT Party has taken several actions to address this rogue action. Since BOOT Party is only interested in pursuing its Agenda of *ONE WORKING NIGERIA (OWN)* and bringing the Party to the doorstep of every Nigerian, we are not interested in what transpires in other Political Parties or whether candidates of others parties were properly or duly elected during their Party Primaries.

As part of reiterating the moral rectitude of The BOOT Party, I have given irrevocable instruction that the suit be withdrawn and an apology letter; forthwith to be followed with further disciplinary actions against the individuals that were responsible for bringing The BOOT Party to disrepute as a result of this ignoble and disgraceful legal action which is considered as one of the several attempts by the Old and discredited Political Parties to infiltrate The BOOT Party to knee-cap the Party and undermine its zero tolerance for corruption. Unfortunately for these people, they have chosen a wrong party to mess with.

Please find attached the apology letter from The BOOT Party OSUN State Chairman (Follow the link https://BOOT.org.ng/ReBoot/Withdrawal_Of_Election_Suit).

And I sincerely apologise to INEC, PDP and Senator Adeleke.

I am sorry, it is not in our character.

Thank you.

IBADAN BOOK CLUB PARTNERS ADWINSA PUBLICATIONS (GH) LTD TO PROMOTE READING CULTURE IN NIGERIA by synw(m) : 7:41 pm On Apr 10

IBADAN BOOK CLUB PARTNERS ADWINSA PUBLICATIONS (GH) LTD TO PROMOTE READING CULTURE IN NIGERIA

In a bid to improve learning and reading culture in Nigeria, Ibadan Book Club has officially partnered with a Ghana based publishing firm, Adwinsa Publications (Gh) Ltd, to revive dwindling reading culture in Nigeria and to launch a new reading programme tagged “READ NIGERIA PROJECT”.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Ibadan Book Club’s Coordinator and Secretary, Odunyemi Ayobami and Hassanat Ayoade in Ibadan on Saturday.

Read Nigeria Project is a statewide chain of events administered by Adwinsa Publications (Gh) Ltd and Ibadan Book Club. It is a project devoted for readers and lovers of books across Nigeria to celebrate and honour some selected important personalities who have contributed meaningfully to the learning and reading culture of the country.

The project also hopes to promote book reading through different events like book bee, quiz contests and other mediums across the country irrespective of tribe, color, sect, age, religion and gender.

According to the release, “Nigeria has been rated by the World Culture Score Index as one of the countries in the world with the lowest reading culture, while available statistics from National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education shows that 38 per cent of Nigerians are non-literate as four in ten primary school children cannot read for comprehension. Regrettably, this adverse development is an ominous challenge the country seems not to be paying needed attention to.”

“There is generally a poor reading culture in the country. The rich literacy history the country is famous for is gradually being eroded. Once upon a time, the country paraded the best set of authors and publishers in Africa. Then, reading was an innate affection for both young and old. This reading inclination reflected so much on the quality of leadership and civil discipline that brought pride to Nigerians anywhere in the world.”

“In Nigeria, reading culture has suffered from widespread poverty, ineptitude and a dearth of dedicated quiet reading spaces like libraries. The decline in the standard of education has seriously affected reading ability. And it becomes harder when you have to deal with the many distractions and challenges that come with being an adult and living in a country like Nigeria.”

“Perhaps, our socio-economic environment is not reading friendly. The daily struggle for economic survival provides little or no time for people to cultivate a good reading habit.
Equally, the high cost of books, particularly imported ones, has contributed to low readership promotion in the country.”

Adwinsa Publications is the leading and one of the most reputable indigenous book-publishing houses in Ghana. Adwinsa dominates the market, particularly in the areas of Ghanaian literature (supplementary readers) and textbooks for Ghanaian Schools.
Adwinsa Publications was established in March of 1977 in Madina, a suberb of Accra, the capital of Ghana in West Africa. The young business at the time began in the CEO’s house. During the late 1980’s Adwinsa went from a small location to Accra Newtown, also in the Capital City. During this time we also embraced “desktop publishing” (which was also an industry in its infancy) as well as commercial offset printing. From the year 2000 to 2014, we have added multiple high speed printing machines that propelled us into a new level of high-quality offset printing. We also built and expanded our services by putting up an office complex in Agbobga in Accra, Ghana.
The publishing firm is considered experts in Junior and Senior High school syllabus based text books in Ghana. The firm focuses on books for the Basic, secondary and tertiary institutions that have been largely acknowledged locally by students, parents, governments and the international community. As a family-owned company, one of Adwinsa Publications’ strengths is its focus on the family and its desire to see families succeed in education, especially in the long term development of every child in the family.
Ibadan Book Club is an initiative of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW). It was founded in 2011 by SYNW in order to contribute its own quota to the growth and development of Reading Culture in Oyo State.

The Club is known for historical reading activities like Ibadan Book Award, Ibadan Book Party, Ibadan Creative Writing Workshop etc.
Some of the publications published by the Club are: Olubadan Centennial Anthology: a collection of essays, articles, poems and works of art in honor of Oba (Dr.) Samuel Odulana, Odugade 1, Voices from Oja Oba Market and Finally, Senator Abiola Ajimobi: Memories, Dreams, Reflections of a Mind Always in Motion.

According to her, the ugly state of unemployment among the youths in Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency with it's embarrassing nature cannot be allowed to continue.

Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo, popularly known and addressed as "IFOKANBALE" finally appealed to members of APC in the two local government areas to support her ambition and be very decisive by voting for her in the forthcoming APC Primary Elections.

MODINAT TEMITOPE ADEYEMO GREETS MUSLIMS AT RAMADAN

Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo, an aspirant contesting for the APC Reps ticket to represent the good people of Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency has felicitated with the Muslim community in Akinyele and Lagelu Federal Constituency on the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement by her Campaign Organization, Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo, popularly called Ifokanbale said Ramadan fasting and prayers is a test of endurance and dedication to the Muslims’ faith.

According to the Statement, “Among the Muslim festivals, it is Ramadan which is said to be the most popular festival and holds great religious significance.

Ramadan is observed all over the world as fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. The annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.”

Ifokanbale urged Muslims to promote the beauty of their faith through positive personal conducts during this fasting period and to take the center stage in promoting and spreading love among fellow Nigerians in order to consolidate our unity.

Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo finally noted that peace and unity are the greatest assets that should not be taken for granted by Nigerians.

MODINAT TEMITOPE ADEYEMO DISSOCIATES SELF FROM DEROGATORY RELEASE PUBLISHED AGAINST HON. OLAFISOYE AKINMOYEDE

An aspirant contesting for the APC ticket of Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo has distanced herself from a derogatory press release published by a jobless and faceless group to discredit and tarnish the political reputation of a former Lagelu Local Government Chairman and former Chief Whip in the 8th Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede.

Parts of her Statement read “My attention has been drawn to a spurious publication published on Sahara Reporters on Wednesday 13th April where a group of people who called themselves Lagelu Legacy Youth Movement wrote a derogatory statement discrediting and tarnishing the political reputation of a former Lagelu Local Government Chairman and former Chief Whip in the 8th Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede.”

“Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede and I are members of the same political party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and from the same Federal Constituency (Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency). For the avoidance of doubt, I and members of my Campaign Organization want to completely dissociate ourselves from the said release as it is the handiwork of a faceless group of mercenary politicians with no established pedigree in honour and commitment, a rambling and frivolous group who see in politicking a chance to make lose money that bestows no respect on those on that pedestal,”Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo said.

Hon. Modinat Temitope Adeyemo finally claimed that the spurious publication was sponsored by the followers of anti-Lafi elements “whose mindset is mainly primed on misinformation, generating disinformation and sustenance of falsehood all in a desperate attempt to paint a bad picture of Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede.

The impact of technology on these segments of the industry, current trends and issues will also be covered.”

It also offers a glimpse into the mechanics of electronic publishing – the elements of a manuscript that editors and publishers feel are important, the review process, ethical issues, why manuscripts are accepted or rejected, and how to make your work more discoverable.

Akure Book Club is an initiative of the Nigerian Young Writers Society. It was founded in 2011 by SYNW in order to contribute its own quota to the growth and development of the Reading Culture in Ondo State.
