The outspoken Minister Of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Friday, February 16, 2018, was captured on camera as he paid a guided tour to Real Madrid’s stadium, Santiago Barnabeu in Madrid, the Spanish capital.

Col. Joseph ‘Hannibal’ Achuzia died on Monday morning at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, Delta State, after a brief illness, according to one of his sons, Mr. Benedict Onyeka Achuzia.. According to Sunnews, already, a 21-gun salute has been shot to traditionally announce the demise of the Ikemba of Asaba to indigenes of the town.
The late Col. Joseph Achuzia (rtd.) was a major in the Biafran army during the Nigeria Civil War of 1967 to 1970.
Prior to joining the Biafran Army in May 1967, Achuzia had been a soldier in the Nigerian Army. He fled to the Southeast in fear of anti-Igbo sentiments among the Nigerian Army during the war.
Achuzia was a traditional stakeholder in the affairs of Asaba as he held the title of Ikemba of Asaba till his death.

A Nigerian cleric identified as Bishop Sam Zuga of the House of Joy Ministry in Benue state, is currently being bashed and heavily criticized online by some internet users after making a controversial statement on Facebook. The pastor said Muslims are better than Christians as he gave his reasons.
This did not go down well with some Christians who feel that a pastor/bishop is not meant to make such controversial statement most especially publicly due to his status.

Real Muslims read and know Bible more than many Christians but many Christian don’t even have Bible. Muslims can pray in any mosque they see, Christians can’t even step in some churches.
The moment you are a Muslim, you can be accepted and shown love where Muslims are, Christians will ask you from which church? If you don’t mention the name of his or her church, you are on your own. I have been accepted to offer free medical treatment exercise in many mosques and preached in many, many Muslims do attend my church programmes all over the world, some even come to our church headquarters in Gboko, Christians can’t do that to a Muslim. The moment you mention God, a Muslim will believe you and give you attention, he will go ahead and introduce you to other Muslims and whatever he says about you they will believe him.
When you mention God to a Christian, you become a suspect, they will call council of elders to interview you to know the type of God you are talking about, whether is a Catholic Church God, Anglican, Living Faith or Deeper life. Muslims have factions like Christians, but if you don’t go deep into them, you will not know, but Christians condemned each other publicly. You can’t hear about fake imams so rampant as you hear about fake pastors. When Muslims are fasting, the whole world will know, irrespective of the factions, it used to affect so many things, there is nothing in common among Christians all over the world, even in a small village.
When a miracle is done in the name of Jesus, Muslims believe in God, some Christians will say is by the power of the devil. I was going to Keffi in Nassarawa state as a Christian preacher, Muslims sat under the sun from 10 am till I arrived by 5pm, nobody left even to go and urinate, because if you do, someone will occupy your space. I turned the city of Minna Niger state upside down, Muslims were at the forefront to welcome me. Chief Imam came to trade fair complex to welcome me, CAN chairman and his cabinet were not at the venue. Muslims knee down to worship, in many churches kneeling down, is an embarrassment.
Muslims respect Christian clergymen, but Christians don’t even respect their pastors. Muslims obey their leaders, whatever the Imam says, it is obeyed but Christians do argue with their pastors and even engage in fights sometimes. You cannot see Muslims Imams arguing Quran publicly like Christian pastors do argue Bible.

The FBI is still searching for one of two convicted bank robbers who escaped last week from a high-rise jail in downtown Chicago by lowering themselves on a makeshift rope nearly 20 stories to the street.
Kenneth Conley, 38, and his cellmate, Joseph Jose Banks, 37, escaped from the Metropolitan Correctional Center early on the morning of December 18. The pair apparently broke a window in the cell they shared, squeezed through the opening and lowered themselves to the street.
They then hailed a cab to make their getaway.
Banks was captured two days later, but Conley remains at large.
“There is no information or recent sightings,†said FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde. “Given the amount of time that has passed given Mr. Conley’s history of traveling, we believe he has left the area.â€
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for Conley’s capture. He is described as white, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds.
The two convicts, who had been awaiting sentencing in the federal detention facility, made their rope from bed sheets and dental floss, according to local media reports.
Conley pleaded guilty to bank robbery in October. He is considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said.
Escape carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. [Reuters]

This is Pastor Prince Winner, a Nigerian cleric who recently survived a ghastly motor accident.
The pastor who presides over the Godswill Deliverance and Fire Ministry, Niger State, reportedly escaped death by whiskers on Saturday, after his car fell off a bridge into a river along Kaduna road.

The police on Tuesday arraigned a woman, Esther Nnachi and a man, Moses David, in a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, over alleged N1.6 million visa fraud. Nnachi of 22, Kukwaba St., Kubwa and David of 96, New Maitama Juji St., Kubwa, are facing three-count charge of joint act, criminal breach of trust and cheating.
The prosecutor, Mr Dalhatu Zannah, told the court that one Ekwelem Solomon of Ikedere Amaimo, Owerri, Imo, reported the matter at Utako Police Station on Feb. 24.Zannah alleged that sometime in March, 2017, the complainant paid N1.6 million to the defendants to procure Australia visa and ticket for him. He said that in false pretext, the defendants collected the money and promised to deliver the job within 16 days.
Zannah said that the defendants refused to deliver the job but converted the money to their own use and absconded to unknown destination. According to him, the offences contravened Sections 79, 322 and 312 of the Penal Code. However, the defendants denied committing the offences.
The Judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, admitted them to bail in the sum N600, 000 each and a surety each in like sum. Sadiq ordered that the sureties must be level 10 officers in the civil service.
Information reaching us indicates that DSS are currently arresting IPOB members in Enugu state for disrupting Eastern Consultative Assembly meeting (ECA) which is currently going on.

First of all. What does Mr Ovrebo do now?
“I don’t referee anymore, although when my colleagues need some advice, especially from the mental point of view, I try to help them. But I don’t participate on a daily basis.â€
Why? Elite referees often get involved after their retirement.
“I’m fine as it is. I’ve been working for many years at weekends, refereeing everywhere. And now I want to have more free time. That’s it.â€
Let’s cut to the chase: May 6, 2009. Are you proud of your performance that night?
“No, not at all. It was not my best day, really. But those mistakes can be committed by a referee … and sometimes a player or a coach. Some days you’re not at the level you should be. But no, I can’t be proud of that performance.â€
Did you watch the whole game sometime after that night?
“I always saw the plays repeated a couple of times and learned from possible mistakes. But that game was many years ago and I don’t have to improve anything, since I no longer referee. I only remember that day again when journalists like you remind me so much later. I don’t mind talking about it because it’s part of my career.â€
Chelsea claimed at least four clear penalties. What do you think was your most serious mistake?
“There were several errors and everyone will have their opinion of those plays. But, I insist, the players and the coaches also fail, and nothing happens. I am proud of having had a long career and having been in the European elite for a while, and among the best in my country at least. That’s why you can’t remember me or my career just for that game, although some people, like you, do so… unfortunately.â€

“Yes, it is clear that it was the return of the semis and everyone was aware of that shock. Only from that point of view is it understandable that many remember me for that day at Stamford Bridge.â€

“After the game it is easy to say: ‘Why was this done and not the other?’ For me the important thing was to learn from my mistakes. I made that decision not to send him off and that’s it. And it’s difficult to explain why some decisions are made on the pitch and not others. It may be due to pressure… or in that event it could be because Ballack protested from behind and I didn’t see it. There can be many reasons in each decision.â€
Did you feel pressure? Eto’o’s handball was right at the end.
“No, I was used to the pressure. You simply see the plays differently. That’s it.â€
