Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has revealed that her colleague, Ini Edo, had a romantic relationship with Empress Njamah’s ex-lover, Nicholas Jack Davies, also known as George Wade.
KanyiDaily recalls that Empress Njamah had accused George wade of theft and blackmail after he allegedly released her nude videos on social media following his threat to do so. On Monday, April 24, a video emerged on social media showing the moment George Wade, who is a Liberian resident, was seen in handcuffs as he arrived at a police station. In a statement on Monday, the police spokesperson, Moses Carter confirmed the arrest of George Wade whose real name is Nicholas Jack Davis. Carter revealed that the 39-year-old suspect had been arrested and charged several times, but he returns to the same crime after being released on bail. The police spokesman, who disclosed that Davis victimized over 20 females including Empress Njamah, said the suspect was arrested while trying to scam another women. Following his arrest, popular Instagram blogger, Gistlover revealed that Davis had nude videos of about nine (9) Nigerian celebrities on his phone. Gistlover, who warned against sending nudes to anybody, also shared a video call the scammer had with Ini Edo including her passport in his possession. “…….at least 9 popular celebrities nudes was sent to me but no be me go use my hand post that kind thing, if you ever had any encounter with this guy, them don submit una nvdes and some of una personal belongings to Liberia police oooo, to those coming behind, whether celebrities or not, STOP SENDING YOUR NUDES TO ANYBODY, NOT EVEN YOUR HUSBAND, it’s a very dirty habit…”, part of his post read. Nkechi Blessing Confirms Ini Edo’s RomanceTaking to her Instagram page, Nkechi Blessing shared Davis’ photo after he arrested and asked why he was laughing. She further asked if he thought he could escape punishment for his abuse of women while hurling some derogatory words at him. Nkechi wrote: “Ashiere what is funny? You think you will get away with this one as usual? Oloribuku Omo Ale jati jati”. Reacting in the comment section, an IG user wondered how Davis could have affairs with both Empress Njamah and Ini Edo, suggesting that he may have used charms as she didn’t find him attractive. She wrote: “But how una take find this man attractive. God abeg ooo…..so tey Ini Edo dey this table ni…. Na e be say this guy dey use jazz….cos I no dey see anything for this anupama body oooo”. Responding to the above comment, another user cautioned the first one not to drag Ini Edo into the matter, as she doesn’t believe the movie star could have been involved with Davis. “Abeg no drag Ini enter this matter oh…Ini e level pass this Anupama,” she wrote. Surprisingly, Nkechi Blessing responded to the second follower’s comment and affirmed that Ini Edo had a relationship with Davis. Lead pastor and founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, has testified of his miraculous recovery from an illness that defied all odds including medical explanation. In a video circulating the internet, Biodun Fatoyinbo shared his recovery testimony at the International Minister Conference organized by David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church on Thursday, 11 March 2023. Although he didn't state the nature of his illness, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo confirmed in the testimony that he had been ill while stating that Bishop Oyedepo's prophecy and prayers in his life had helped him achieve healing. Biodun Fatoyinbo further testifed that COZA, like Living Faith Church, is now buying propery and operating like a franchise. The elated pastor stated that the new branches (called campuses) look like the headquarters. Biodun Fatoyinbo has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. First in August 2013 when Ese Walter alleged that Fatoyinbo had a sexual relationship with her while she worked in the church. Sometime in June 2019, Busola Dakolo a celebrity photographer and wife to gospel singer, Timi Dakolo had also alleged that Fatoyinbo, on two different occasion, had raped her as a minor about 20 years ago. Busola's accusations attracted widespread attention with many being convinced of Fatoyinbo's guilt even though he denied the allegation. As part of efforts to further build effective leadership skills among Officers within 81 Division Area of Responsibility, the Division held this year’s Officers Training Week with the theme, “Enhancing Operational Preparedness of Officers for Participation in Joint and Multi-agency Operations Within 81 Division AOR”.
During the event which was held on 9 May 23, at the 9 Brigade Officers’ Mess, Ikeja Lagos, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Nigerian Army (NA), Major General OC Ajunwa Who was represented by the Division Training Officer, Brigadier General Oluwole Davies, in his opening remarks at the 3-day event enjoined participants to leverage on the importance, objectives and benefits of the training. The GOC noted that the lectures and topics were carefully selected to equip and also provide the platform to enhance command and leadership proficiency amongst Officers. General Ajunwa said the training was designed as a form of mentorship for junior commanders through cross-fertilization of ideas and sharing Operations, command and field experiences. The GOC advised them to take advantage of the programme to build their leadership skills to enable them function optimally in their respective commands. He thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for his commitment and support in activating this year’s Officers’ Training Week and the Army Headquarters Department of Training for selecting an appropriate theme, considering it very apt in proffering solutions to contemporary security challenges in 81 Division AOR in particular and the country in general. General Akerejola enjoined the Officers to dedicate adequate time and efforts to ruminate on lectures delivered during the training sessions so as to enrich their chosen career as well as improve their overall performance in responding to situations in 81 Division and indeed the Nigerian Army. The highlights of the events include, group photographs, robust interactive sessions and presentation of souvenirs to resource persons.  According to reports, David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, has left the villa on Banana Island where his son Ifeanyi Adeleke passed away. There are claims that this information was disclosed by Kofoworola Adewumi, a real estate dealer headquartered in Lagos State, in a post on Instagram. Recall that in October 2022, Davido and his wife Chioma Adeleke suffered the loss of their only child when he drowned in their Banana Island residence. The 'Timeless' singer, according to Adewunmi, allegedly listed his residence for rent and left the property. The price of the opulent residence is $150k a year. Many online users responded by flooding the comment area, accusing the realtor of trying to gain influence by selling Davido's property. She replied, “You all need to stop making all these unsolicited comments under my post. Davido once lived in the property. Yes! The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has reacted to a recent court judgement barring the commission from imposing fines on broadcast stations.
KanyiDaily recalls that on May 10, a Federal High Court in Abuja restrained NBC from imposing fines and set aside prior fines on 45 broadcast stations. The presiding judge, James Omotosho, said the NBC lacked judicial powers to impose penalties, noting that the commission’s action was “against the doctrine of separation of powers”. Omotosho voided the N500,000 penalty imposed on 45 broadcast stations on March 1, 2019 on the grounds that NBC, not being a court of law, lacked such power. The judge held the court would not sit idle and watch a non-juristic body, arbitrarily impose a fine without recourse to the due process of the law. Reacting to the court judgement, the NBC in a statement issued on Friday by its Director General, Balarabe Shehu llelah, said it had applied for a Certified copy of the judgment. Ilelah said the commission would appeal against the judgment when found to be in conflict with previous judgments of the court, which “empowers the commission to regulate broadcasting in Nigeria.” The statement reads, “The attention of the National Broadcasting Commission has been drawn to a ruling by the federal high court, Abuja nullifying the powers of the commission to impose fines on broadcast stations that violate the provisions of the Nigeria broadcasting code. “In view of the foregoing, the commission has applied for a certified copy of the judgment. It is global best practice and the ethics of the legal profession, that no party to a suit can freely comment on a judgment it has not seen and read. “The commission will appeal against the judgment when found to be in conflict with previous judgments of the court, which empowers the commission to regulate broadcasting in Nigeria.” This comes a few weeks after the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) slammed a N5million fine on Channels Television over a recent interview.

Nigerian rapper, Falz has taken to social media to address those criticizing him for undergoing knee surgery in the United Kingdom.
KanyiDaily recalls that Falz, a well-known human rights activist, had shared a video of himself lying on a hospital bed with bandage wrapped around his leg and knee. The rapper revealed that he sustained the injury while playing football with friends and he had surgery on May 2, 2023, to repair his torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament. In his reaction, Kaduna State Governor’s son, Bashir El-Rufai slammed Falz and expressed disappointment in the rapper for undergoing surgery in the UK instead of going to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). Other critics supporting the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) also shared a similar opinion with Bashir saying Falz was always criticizing the government and he is guilty of the same thing. Falz Replies CriticsTaking to his Twitter page, the rapper described his critics as “pathetic”, stressing that they were desperate to launch an attack on him without knowing that their action was making them look stupid. Falz, who also revealed that those criticizing him were unenlightened’ urged them to grab their phones and find the meaning of Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) on Google. He tweeted, “So pathetic these people are trying sooooo hard to latch on to this knee surgery gist. Eyahhh. “Na so una dey desperate for ammunition. Just find a smart phone & google ACL rupture. ODE. The audacity that stupidity gives you sha. Sigh.”

On Saturday 13th April 2023, Seun Kuti had been captured on video aggressively slapping a policeman across the face as well as shoving him off on the third mainland bridge. The video recording whicj was originally shared by a TikToker with the username Stephen Solademi, has since gone viral and led the IGP to demand an immediate arrest of the singer as well as a full investigation as to the cause of assault. In response to the call for his arrest, Seun Kuti had put up a post on his official social media platform stating that he welcomed the investigation and would give his full support and cooperation to the Inspector General of Police. It is currently unknown why Seun Kuti chose to physically assault an officer of the law.
