Tragedy Strikes Nigerian School As 16-year-old Student Dies After Alleged Teacher Assault by Airdy(m) : 3:01 pm On Jan 28

A disturbing incident unfolded at Araromi-Ilogbo Senior Secondary School, Oko-Afo, where a 16-year-old student, David Babadipo, lost his life after reportedly being flogged by a teacher identified as Mr. Oluwale. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday, and the victim, who had been unwell for several days, was rushed to a hospital after the alleged assault, where he was later confirmed dead.

A video captured the chaos that ensued at the school, with pupils seen running in disarray both within and outside the premises. According to an eyewitness, the deceased student was purportedly flogged by the teacher for attempting to leave the school premises to purchase something, leading to his untimely demise.

Social media has become a platform for conflicting accounts of the incident. While some users, such as Mama Sassy D, claim that unrest is brewing in the vicinity and express concerns for the teacher's safety, others, like Esther Wusu, dispute the narrative. Wusu argues that Mr. Oluwale, identified as the school's vice principal, did not beat the student and asserts that the child had been sick since Tuesday, with the parents allegedly neglecting to seek medical attention promptly.

Adding to the complexity, Bangose Jide, another social media user, reports the incident as a case of a teacher, Mr. Olawale, allegedly beating the student to death. Jide mentions that the matter has been reported to the Morogbo Police Station, Lagos State, and identifies the deceased as a native of Ipoti, Ekiti State.

As of now, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has not confirmed whether the case has been officially reported to the station. Investigations into this tragic incident are ongoing, and the conflicting narratives highlight the need for a thorough examination of the circumstances surrounding David Babadipo's death.

Kodak Black – No Love For A Thug Lyrics by Airdy(m) : 2:00 pm On Feb 26

Kodak Black Lyrics

Chorus
I fell out with my homie, I lost my baby girl
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy, my baby boy
Lord knows that I’m lonely, I never say a word
I’m tryna act like I’m happy, I’m tryna fake it
I’m going through changes
You better know where you aiming
You better know where you came in
You better know where I came from
Sometimes I hate that I’m famous
But I’m in love with this paper

Verse 1
I’m pushing violence, but really I just need a hug
I wanna feel wanted, not taken advantage of
Like, seriously, I’m wondering, is there no love for a thug?
Do anybody got a soft spot for a menac??
I know I met her at the club ‘caus? I put my heart in it
I’ve been looking for a way out this world that I’m given
I had a serious conversation with my dog L.O.E. Shimmy
He said, “It’s impossible to catch thirty bodies in a month”
The streets done changed, shit ain’t the same the way we do our killing
And dude hate me, I don’t even glitch, just say, “Just smoke a blunt”
I told Shimmy I can’t tell, I think we going to hell anyways
I turned a demon just recent and you was what I should just face it, ayy
I ain’t the person I’m put out to be
The streets done changed me, it’s too late, done got too far from me
The fake love soured me, it chewed me up, spit me out, devoured me
I’m fucked up

Chorus
I fell out with my homie, I lost my baby girl
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy, my baby boy
Lord knows that I’m lonely, I never say a word
I’m tryna act like I’m happy, I’m tryna fake it
I’m going through changes
You better know where you aiming
You better know where you came in
You better know where I came from
Sometimes I hate that I’m famous
But I’m in love with this paper

Verse 2
Looking back on love, the only thing make life worth living
I don’t wanna do no more of this shit without you, Mickey
I know you happy now, am I selfish for wanting you to miss me?
Why must I always gotta walk around fucking shit up?
Am I only tryna distract you now ’cause you in love?
Confuse you and misuse you just like I always done
You became a strong Black woman, and me, I’m still a chump
Telling these lil’ bitches anything to let me fuck
Been paying attention to everything, wish it was us
Wouldn’t be surprised, I see a wedding ring in a couple months
Try to snap my fingers and you ain’t come running the way you used to jump
And then you told me you was havin’ a baby, I’m like, “Hold on, what?
Is it too late to get rid of? I mean, congratulations, love
I know you gon’ be the best mother to your son”
We watched each other grow up, you hate how I’m always in some junk
Rolled every time, rolled every bid, rolled every single one
You say you just don’t know what it is, must be voodoo or something
‘Cause it always be some shit, no matter how good I done
And now I just bought a whole strip mall, know where I’m from
And now they saying they found fentanyl in my cup
Crackers tryna set me up, niggas tryna wet me up
My dog been on a whacking spree, his mama died from vaccine
My other dogs, they hating, like he don’t remember, I was skied up, black tee
I told ’em if I was dead broke flat like he is, I’d still be hopping out that backseat, like

Chorus
I fell out with my homie, I lost my baby girl
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy
Shit got crazy, we found out about my baby boy, my baby boy
Lord knows that I’m lonely, I never say a word
I’m tryna act like I’m happy, I’m tryna fake it
I’m going through changes
You better know where you aiming
You better know where you came in
You better know where I came from
Sometimes I hate that I’m famous
But I’m in love with this paper

Uhhh
I can`t lie to you
Girl you are my wife
And i can’t deny for life, for life

Verse
I can`t believe I`m still stuck out here
Thinking about you, how the fuck I care
Spuff my weed, puff inna the air
Mess up the whole damn atmosphere
Men I`m trying to be cool like my heart`s not bleeding
I`m even, acting Adam and Eve
Reading all the stuff that you written
I`m shivering
Holy garden of Eden

I`m feeling like Moses with a stick
Your legs like the ocean how they open up quick
It’s been a little rough
Thorns and thick
We fell for the aries and tongues and dicks
Let me remind you of this
My life like a movie, you are my Netflix
The rainbows up, Star don’t belish
Things that was talked back in primary 6 (six)

Girl you still mine
(Get at you)
Girl you know i can’t lie
(Get at you)

Girl you came into my life
When i need you the most
But then you left me, when i needed you the most
I’m all alone and am talking to a Ghost
Seems like you right there and i can feel you close

Maybe you another situation
We can plan a sit down and have a conversation
Because two wrongs never made it right
don’t never treat me like am not your favorite

Tems
Tems

In 2019, we saw the branding of Tems come into limelight. Emerging onto the music scene with an undeniable flair, Tems, also known as Temilade Openiyi, had swiftly captured the hearts of fans worldwide since her debut with “Mr Rebel” and the infectious “Looku Looku”. Yet, with her notable release, “Try Me”, she solidifies her reputation as a master of blending poignant storytelling with the vibrant rhythms of Afropop. In “Try Me”, Tems doesn’t just sing; she bares her soul. Co-producing the beat alongside Remy Baggins, she weaves together sombre organ-like synths with a lively drum riff and soul-stirring vocal samples, creating a sonic landscape that perfectly complements her passionate vocals. Her raw and honest lyrics draw from the depths of failed romance, seamlessly melding R&B influences with Afropop sensibilities.

Through her balladry performance, Tems fearlessly confronts the turmoil of toxic relationships, drawing a poignant analogy between her struggles and the symbiotic dance of a joint and a lighter. With each verse, she showcases the potency of her pen game, effortlessly intertwining introspection with infectious melodies. It’s not just a song; it’s a testament to her confidence in her musical prowess and her unwavering commitment to authenticity. As “Try Me” reverberated through the airwaves, Tems asserted herself as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, captivating listeners with her emotive storytelling and undeniable talent. With every note, she invites listeners into her world – a world where heartache becomes art, and vulnerability is celebrated. Remarkably, this was just the beginning of Tems’ journey, and already, the world is listening, enraptured by her voice and her truth.

Fast forward to a couple of years – in a remarkably short span – Tems had carved out a significant presence in the music industry, leaving an indelible mark with just two EP projects, a handful of singles, a select few international collaborations, and Grammy nods. Despite her relatively brief discography, the mesmerizing songstress has swiftly risen to prominence as one of Nigeria’s most captivating talents on the global stage, her voice proving irresistibly magnetic to listeners far and wide. Exquisitely, Tems emerges as a breath of fresh air in the Nigerian music landscape, where female artists often face uphill battles to reach the pinnacle of success.

Yet, she defies the odds, not only ascending to the summit of the Nigerian music charts but also garnering widespread acclaim on the international front. With her distinctive sound and arresting vocal prowess, Tems captivates audiences, transcending boundaries and resonating with listeners on a profound level. Her meteoric ascent is not just a testament to her undeniable talent but also a testament to the universal appeal of her music, which transcends geographical borders and cultural barriers. As she continues to captivate audiences with her unparalleled artistry, Tems stands as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment, paving the way for future generations of female artists to follow in her footsteps. In a world hungry for authenticity and talent, she shines brightly, a testament to the enduring power of music to unite, inspire, and uplift.

Tems’ rapid ascent to international acclaim can be attributed to a combination of factors, each playing a crucial role in her meteoric rise. Undoubtedly, her enchanting voice and unique style have been pivotal in capturing the attention and adoration of audiences worldwide. With a soulful timbre and a knack for crafting emotive melodies, Tems possesses a musical allure that is impossible to ignore. Furthermore, her affiliation with Starboy’s success with “Essence” undoubtedly contributed to her heightened visibility on the global stage. The synergy between Wizkid and Tems on this track, as they effortlessly navigate themes of love and desire, propelled them both to new heights of success. The track’s widespread acclaim and chart-topping success, particularly in the US, served as a springboard for Tems’ burgeoning career, solidifying her position as a formidable force in the music industry.
