Best known for her role of Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke Show, Rose Marie died on December 28 in Van Nuys, Californian according to a statement on her official website. A similar messages was posted on the actress’ official Twitter account Thursday. It read, “It is with broken hearts that we share the terribly sad news that our beloved Rose Marie passed away this afternoon.†Rose Marie began her career early as a child star and became a household name in 1961 when she joined the cast of the Van Dyke Show, portraying witty television writer Rogers. She earned three Emmy nominations for the role. Â
