Just as this was just a phone to you, it was a business launch pad for another person. To some, writing is just to pass an exam… to some it’s a Pulitzer waiting to happen. Many have good eyesight… but to an umpire at a Tennis open, 20/20 vision is a major asset. While some believe their awesome physique is to just look good, others are making money from it as runway models. Celebrities are everywhere, but some have positioned themselves well to become valuable brand ambassadors.

Many have awesome vocal abilities but only few make a career out of it… You come across funny people everyday everywhere… but only few become successful comedians. So I ask, what skills do you have that are waiting to be activated? You may be the missing link in someone’s climb to success. There are people who made it because Globacom opened business in Nigeria. The man who resigned from teaching to sell recharge cards saw something. Some Isale Eko boy became a millionaire by serving kpoff kpoff and the likes at events. One person saw a window of planning events. Another saw a need to have a make-up place. Don’t look down on an idea that has potentials to be in demand. Everyone turned down my dream to own an event place in 2002… 2003… 2004… in 2005 XQZMOI happened. Between 2005 and 2008 when the construction of the toll plaza happened, even banks that didn’t see the value of the idea came to ask for us to open accounts with them. When I started stand up comedy in 1987… it was considered a dream. Just as Joseph was called a dreamer.

Today as you post #throwback pictures, remember that in 1995… 8yrs after I started, I picked up a cheque (bank draft) from #Guinness (Satzenbrau) for 1.6m. Interestingly many who were still blind to the amount of money I was making then still thought “he must be living off someone”. Then they started seeing lifestyles of those who came after me, and the narrative changed “Comedians smiling to the bank”. Truth is, when people do not understand the potential of what is in their hand, it’s just a rod, like with Moses. In 1998, a friend called me from Allstates Trust Bank, to ask what I was going to do to be paid 200k at their party. Hmmmmmmmm
