President of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammad Buhari is bereaved with the state Governments in the country over the unpaid salaries and allowances of workers, in spite of the interventions of the Federal Government.

President Muhammad Buhari stated this when he received a group of governors led by Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman Abdul’Aziz Yari at the State House in Abuja.

He said;

“How can anyone go to bed and sleep soundly when workers have not been paid their salaries for months.
“I actually wonder how the workers feed their families, pay their rent and even pay school fees for their children,” he said.

President Buhari added that the plight of workers needed attention as many can barely survive.
