President of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, and CAF official, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that Morocco will meet next month’s deadline to bid to host the 2026 World Cup. FIFA said that countries interested in hosting the World Cup have until August 11 to submit their bids, with the USA, Canada and Mexico having already expressed an interest. Pinnick told BBC, “I’ve been told Morocco wants to put in its bid and CAF will support them 100 per cent. “I’d be surprised (if Morocco does not put in a bid), but I think they will.†Moroco was unsuccessful in four previous World Cup bids – in 1994, 1998 , 2006 and 2010.
