The  Niger State Government  has said it will not review upward the N64m  contract for the  renovation  of the  handball complex in Minna.

But the state government has promised to complete the project.

The  immediate past administration  in the state had released N30m to the contractor  for the project but work was halted due to bureaucracy.

With  the recent agreement reached between the state and the contractor, the state  government has agreed to pay up the balance once work reaches  an advanced  stage.

Head of Facilities and Marketing in the state sport ministry, Fred issiah, told reporters in  Minna that state  government was  fully committed to the project to help the state handball team  Niger United.

Issiah said,  “This contract is not a fresh one, we only have a good understanding with the contractor to complete the project and he has agreed to finish the two courts without any additional money  from government.”
