The Ibadan Reads June edition featuring David Dairo, Ireyimika Oladele-Ojo, and Dr. Lola Odeyale Ayo-Fashida as the headliners is definitely something to look forward to. In a statement by the Convener of the project, Wole Adedoyin, Ibadan Reads is a joint initiative of the Ibadan Book Club and the Conference of Southwest Writers. David Dairo is an experienced author who has been writing for over two decades. His journey began with a focus on helping students prepare for their final School Certificate Examinations in Social Science Subjects. He developed a collection of solutions to past exam questions in Government and Economics, which served as a foundation for his tutoring skills. His dedication to education led him to write course books and workbooks that are now widely used in schools throughout Nigeria. David is also committed to promoting reading and knowledge acquisition, as evidenced by his establishment of a library with over two thousand books covering various subjects.
Ireyimika Oladele-Ojo, a talented young writer, embarked on her writing journey at the tender age of 10. With an impressive accomplishment of publishing her first book at the age of 13, she is not only a skilled writer but also a passionate reader. Ireyimika aspires to make a positive impact on the lives of fellow young minds through her writing, aiming to bring about transformative change.
Dr. Lola Odeyale Ayo-Fashida is a multi-talented Nigerian professional with a background in Microbiology. However, she has excelled as a Finance and Management Consultant, author, Inspirational Leader, and transformational coach. With a PhD in Personnel Psychology, she has made significant contributions to various sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing, education, banking, and consulting. Dr. Lola actively contributes to the business world as the Lead Consultant at Lolyan Consults and a board member of five enterprises. Her influence extends beyond Nigeria, as she has mentored and coached over 8,000 children, youths, and women. Dr. Lola is known for her love of music and has released albums and authored books.
