Wizkid blasts Castle Lite, says “you brought in nonsense sound for concert by dimexy247(m) : 4:02 pm

Wizkid

Nigerian talented singer, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, couldn’t hide his frustration yesterday night during the Castle Lite Unlocks Concert at the EKo Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

While performing some of his hit songs, Wizkid became angry with the sound system as it was affecting his live performance on stage.

Speaking Pidgin English, “he said these people brought in a nonsense sound system to this concert. The sound is terrible, but we would manage it.”

All through the duration of his performance, Wizkid was highly uncomfortable. But the ugly situation didn’t stop the ‘Starboy’ from mesmerizing the audience.

Wizkid was, however, not the only artiste who openly complained about the poor sound system at the Castle Lite Unlocks Concert.

Earlier at the event, Tiwa Savage, through her gesture, had made signals to the handlers of the concert’s sound. As a matter of fact, she performed through stress; she was struggling with the sound.

Her microphone, in particular, was messing things up for her. More than one occasion, he called on the attention of her DJ, Big N, to fix things.

But despite the apparent inconsistent sound system, Castle Lite Unlocks Concert turned out to be a successful show. It was classy and well organised despite being a debut concert for the beer brand in Nigeria.

J.Cole

Though J.Cole, the concert’s headliner, kept fun-seekers waiting for a long while before coming on stage, the wait seemed to worth it. Nigerians recited the American rapper’s songs while performing.

Other Nigerian artistes such as M.I, Ycee, Falz and Davido also made the concert a memorable one.
