Trey Songz kept himself away from the public for a while, but now he has surrendered himself to LAPD on domestic violence charges early Monday morning. The news comes shortly after the singer released a statement on Twitter about the controversy.

Trey is being accused of choking and punching ‘Andrea Buera’ at a Hollywood Hills party last month around the All-Star weekend but the singer maintains that he is “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.” TMZ reports that he was booked around 6 am and released at 8 am on a $50k bond. The investigation will go on.

Buera claims that she was hit so badly at the party that she suffered a concussion and had to to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Stay tuned for more updates on the story.
