Ryan Giggs has defended Manchester United’s new signing Alexis Sanchez and told Manchester United fans not to ‘worry’ about their new signing.

Alexis Sanchez took on United’s famous number seven shirt in January after joining from Arsenal in a straight swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Chilean has endured a mixed time since arriving at Old Trafford, often showing glimpses of his potential but scoring just once in seven appearances.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United executives are already regretting signing Alexis Sanchez in January, because of his high wages and the fact he would have been cheaper in the summer.

Here’s what Ryan Gigga had to say about the Chilean…

“He’s a top player. He’s only scored one goal so far, so I’m sure he’d want to do better than that, but I think he’s done okay.

“His team-mates are still trying to find out what he likes, what he doesn’t like, the dynamics of the team. Sometimes it fits straight away, sometimes it takes a bit of time.

“I don’t think anyone should be worried about Alexis Sanchez, he’s a top, top player.”
