Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema could be on the move this summer with four clubs interested in bringing the striker back to Ligue 1, according to AS.

Former club Lyon is leading the race along with Paris Saint-Germain, who want the 30-year-old to rival Edinson Cavani for a starting berth. Monaco and Marseille are the other two clubs interested but they aren’t thought to be serious contenders.

Karim Benzema is believed to be open to a return

PSG are said to have targeted the striker as a possible replacement for Edinson Cavani, or even Neymar should the Brazilian depart after just one year at the Parc des Princes.

Former club Lyon, where he spent five years in the senior ranks prior to joining Madrid in 2009, has also been linked, as have Marseille and Monaco.
