‘Women are the source of evil, There is nothing good in them’- Pastor Says by dimexy247(m) : 4:16 pm

The Rwandan Media Commission (RMC) is set to deliberate on anti-women comments made by a preacher on a local radio station, After a former Seventh Day Adventist priest in late January 2017 is quoted to have said that women were the source of all evil.

The pastor in question said in plain language that women are out of God’s favour and there is nothing good to be found in them.

Thus, he was quoted as saying:

‘Women are out of God’s favour, there is nothing good you can find in women. If you have read the Bible, who brought sin into the world, it was not a man, Nicolas Niyibikora tld listeners on Amazing Grace radio.
“If you’ve read the Bible, who brought the sin into the world?” he asked listeners, adding: “It was not a man.” .
Somewhat unsurprisingly, the sermon has angered rights groups, with Pro-Femme Twese Hamwe holding a press conference warning such words “can bring hatred and conflicts among Rwandans if nothing is urgently done about it”, according to Rwanda’s New Times.
The women’s rights group made a complaint to the regulatory body Rwanda Media Commission (RMC), which is set to meet to discuss the issue next week. Executive secretary Emmanuel Mugisha told the New Times it was likely the radio station will have to explain itself.
They are demanding that the pastor and station must be made to publicly apologize to all Rwandans and to women in particular. The pastor and the management of the station will thus have to appear before the regulator to explain the incident, executive secretary of the RMC confirmed.
