EASILY FIND AND DOWNLOAD YOUR LAPTOP DRIVERS by cybermekx(m) : 10:44 am On Dec 22

I formatted a laptop but it has no sound, that's drivers problem. Picture lag and Video flickering on desktop huh, check your vga driver. There are so many hardware components of a pc that won't startup after a fresh system format and won't work without the appropriate driver(s) being installed. Although you can get system or pc drivers from the manufacturers website, sometimes you seem not to find your laptop model among the ones listed on their website and that's insinuating a road block. Well, it has been easy for me since I found out this trick. All you will need is a computer with an internet connection and you are good to go. Just follow me and catch me if you can.......

(1) Navigate to the device manager of your pc. This can be done in different ways depending on the OS of your pc.
(2) Once there, you will see the list of hardware components in your pc and the ones with yellow question marks are the ones you need to take care of.
(3) Choose one, right-click on it, then click on properties.
(4) When the screen pops out, click on Details tab and you will see a property and value segment.
(5) On property, click on the drop down list and select Hardware ids.
(6) Highlight and Copy (ctrl + c) any of the values you will see ( the first one preferably) and paste it on Google.

Viola, you will now see specific results concerning the driver(s) you are looking for and also websites that have them for download.

I wonder what other way it could have been easier if both the manufacturers driver support and driver software CD packs fail you. If I could get it right, then I know you can.

Breaking: Judge exempts self from hearing treason charges against Nnamdi Kanu by cybermekx(m) : 6:28 pm On Dec 24

Following the fresh six-count charges filed by the Federal Government of Nigeria against the embattled leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, a federal High Court judge has exempted himself from hearing the case. Justice Ahmed Mohammed who announced the decision on Wednesday in Abuja after Mr. Kanu objected to the case, said that it was needless, as the federal government had repeatedly disobeyed previous court rulings.

Kanu was charged before the Federal High Court, Abuja alongside two others, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi in a fresh six-count charge of treason and managing the affairs of ‘an unlawful society.’ The government is accusing Mr. Kanu of plotting to split Nigeria, by creating a Biafra Republic with south east, south south states, and parts of Kogi and Benue states, as component units.

Kanu, who was arraigned before Justice Mohammed Wednesday, told the court before commencement of the prosecution’s plea that he preferred being held in the detention, than subjecting himself to a trial, which outcome will not be respected. He said his previous trials had various outcomes that were abused or neglected by the office of the State Security Service, SSS.

The counsel to the prosecution, who is also the Federal Director of Prosecution, office of the Attorney General, Mohamed Diri, told the court that based on section 396 (2) of the constitution, the defendant had no right to object to being tried by the court until after the plea is heard. However, Justice Mohammed who said he was opting out of the case also countered the prosecution counsels, saying that Mr. Kanu had the right to reject the trial, “after all justice is rooted on confidence,” he said.

“If any of the parties has no confidence in the court, he has the right to say so”, Mr. Mohammed ruled. He noted that the prosecution would have done the same thing if they were in Kanu’s shoes. “Assuming it was the prosecution, if they had no confidence in the court of jurisdiction; would they not have done so?” “I hereby remit the case file to the honourable chief judge of this court to reassign it,” the judge said.

Government has technically won the war against Boko Haram - Buhari by cybermekx(m) : 5:41 am On Dec 25

President Buhari has corroborated what the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said yesterday, December 23, about defeating Boko Haram in Nigeria.
Recall that Lai Mohammed said that the Nigerian Army has met the December deadline of crushing out the insurgent group. President Buhari also in a recent interview with BBC has said that his government has technically won the war against Boko Haram. He said,

“I assure you we haven’t failed. Adamawa state, Yobe state are free from Boko Haram. Borno state which is there base, I think they have two to three local government. Boko Haram has reverted to using IEDs Improvised Explosive Device, indoctrinating young girls from 15 years and below to go and explode it in churches, mosques, market places, motorparks.

”They have now been reduced to that but articulated conventional attacks on centers of communication and population in towns and so on, they are no longer capable of doing that effectively. So I think technically we have won the war because people are going back to their neighborhoods. We have our committees on the ground liaising with Local governments. People are going back. Our major problem now is rehabilitation because over 1.5 million Internally Displaced Persons, repairing the infrastructures, schools, health centers…the number of bridges blown..that is what we are facing now. But Boko Haram as an organized fighting force, I assure you that we have dealt with them.”

When asked what his opinion is about Nigerians criticizing him for always blaming the last government instaed of focusing on how to make the country better, he said:

“I think they are being unfair. Boko haram was effective on 16 local government areas before in the three states. Borno Yobe and Adamawa. Yobe and Adamawa are absolutely free and there are about three local governments were Boko Harams are there and I have told you they cannot marshal forces and attack towns or military installation as they did in Maiduguri before. I don’t think this is mere talking. We have moved Service Chiefs, we re-organized the military. We have got some hardware for them and we have gotten retraining from the British, Americans and with the French. A lot of is being done.”

Re: Breaking: Judge exempts self from hearing treason charges against Nnamdi Kanu by cybermekx(m) : 7:51 am On Dec 25

Sometimes, I feel that this government is a joke. How can a ruling of "unconditional release" by the federal high court to Nnamdi Kanu be taken for granted by the FGhuh. This shows that some people are above the law in this country.

Re: MTN-NG + Simple android server (Reloaded) by cybermekx(m) : 10:32 am On Dec 28

Yea. 5GB is the total data threshold for any of the BB package u subscribed to and as well with the duration attached to that package.
Prefered ones are BBMINI and BBMIDID packages which has the subscription code of *216*3# and *216*4# respectively.
Depending on the duration you wanna go for, it all depends on subscribers choice.
For eg. BBMINI Day costs N70 .1 Week costs N350 and 1 month is N1000. Their sub codes are *216*3*1#, *216*3*2# and *216*3*3# respectively. All of them are capped at 5GB each. Au revoir.

LOW-POWER WI-FI TECHNOLOGY TO GIVE BLUETOOTH A RUN FOR ITS MONEY by cybermekx(m) : 5:13 pm On Jan 06

A very common theme for CES this year seems to be “The Internet of Things” or IoT. With the introduction of smart modules that can be implanted into everyday objects around the home and workplace, the possibilities are endless.

But that is beside the point. The Wi-Fi Alliance has announced a new energy efficient type of Wi-Fi connection that comparable to Bluetooth. It is to be superior in range and travel through walls much better than current Wi-Fi technologies thanks to using the 900MHz band (existing Wi-Fi technologies use 2.4GHz and 5GHz). These conditions are ideal for the IoT that everyone is talking about.

Don’t expect to see any devices with this new Wi-Fi until 2018, though. This is when the Wi-Fi Alliance plans to begin certifying devices for HaLow (pronounced like “halo”).

HaLow is designed to be embedded in devices that transmit small amounts of data like fitness trackers, appliances, and a plethora of “things” that make up the IoT.

Over the next few years (assuming this becomes reality) either of two things can happen: Manufacturers don’t care for HaLow and continue to use an already existing technology called Bluetooth LE (LE stands for ‘low energy’), or HaLow will be integrated into existing Wi-Fi technologies, to only require a single Wi-Fi chip. This would knock the requirement of designing gadgets with two different wireless chips, one for Wi-Fi and another for Bluetooth.

Can we estimate that the new Wi-Fi standard will coincide with an increasing adoption of connected ‘things’? This may be a possible outcome. But it is too early to tell.

The IoT is an interesting idea that is still in the beginning stages of becoming a common consumer industry. We will have to wait and see if people really want to interface ‘things’ with other ‘things’.

BlackBerry CEO: BB 10 far from dead; another Android phone this year by cybermekx(m) : 7:04 pm On Jan 09

BlackBerry CEO John Chen has said that the company's BB 10 operating system is "far from" dead. He made the comment in a post on the company's official blog, where-in he also revealed that BB 10-powered phones such as Passport, Classic, and others will be getting security and privacy enhancements this year.

"The coming version 10.3.3 will be certified for NIAP compliance, meaning it will have passed the strictest government-grade security tests, enabling us to further support our government and regulated customers who use BlackBerry 10 devices and demand the highest levels of security," he said in the blog post.

"We are also planning a version 10.3.4 for later this year with even more security improvements."

While we already know that BlackBerry will only be launching Android phones in 2016, Chen revealed that only one such device will be launched in 2016, adding that the company will be sharing its road-map at an appropriate time.

Need a wire-free laptop? It's getting closer to reality. by cybermekx(m) : 7:18 pm On Jan 09

In the not-too-distant future, PC makers want to free your laptop of wires and cables. Some announcements at CES signal progress toward that goal.

PC makers want to bid adieu to bulky power adapters, and make charging as simple as placing a laptop on a kitchen counter, desk, or table at a cafe. Another goal is to establish speedy wireless connections between laptops and external peripherals, which could eliminate wired ports like USB and HDMI from PCs.

Intel showed a wire-free prototype laptop last year. The laptop charged wirelessly when placed on a surface. Monitors and external storage linked up to the laptop through the emerging WiGig wireless technology, which is significantly faster than Wi-Fi.

There wasn’t a specific product announced at CES with all the key wire-free attributes. But some laptops were announced with integrated WiGig, and wireless power standards organization AirFuel Alliance said that products capable of charging laptops would be available this year.

WiGig is coming
Acer said its TravelMate P648 series laptop was the first of its kind with integrated WiGig, which could be up to 10 times faster than Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Targeted at business users, the laptop will be priced at $799 when it starts shipping in April. The 14-inch laptop is loaded with the latest technologies like optional Intel Skylake chips, Thunderbolt 3 ports, DDR4 memory, and optional Nvidia GeForce 940M graphics.

Asus also said it will integrate WiGig into a few laptops later this year, with wireless chips for the systems provided by Qualcomm. Asus sees gamers taking advantage of WiGig for faster communication between laptops and external devices.

WiGig doesn’t have the range of Wi-Fi, and communication is largely limited to devices within a room. Data transfers happen on the unlicensed 60GHz spectrum. Qualcomm has estimated its WiGig chipset transferring data at a rate of 4.6Gbps (bits per second).

But there’s a problem—peripherals with integrated WiGig aren’t yet available. Peripherals like monitors and external storage need to be hooked up to a WiGig dock to get the feature.

Lenovo introduced the Thinkvision X24 Pro display to which an optional thin WiGig bar can be attached. The 23.8-inch monitor has a 3D RealSense camera, and the product will sell for $399 starting in June.

HP and Dell executives said that WiGig would be integrated inside monitors, but could not provide specific release dates for products.

In the wireless charging arena, standards organization AirFuel Alliance said many products would debut this year after it achieved regulatory approval worldwide for its certification program. Some device makers will introduce wireless charging stations for devices up to 70 watts, a power profile within which smartphones, tablets and mid-range laptops with up to 15.6-inch screens can fit. AirFuel Alliance—which was formed after the merger of A4WP (Alliance for Wireless Power) and PMA (Power Matters Alliance)—said devices based on its magnetic-resonance technology will be shown at CES.

Sharing husband could boost family health and wealth... What do you think? by cybermekx(m) : 11:25 pm On Jan 31

Polygyny - where one husband has more wives than one - may not be as bad as it is often made out to be. New research has found that the practice of sharing a husband may, in some circumstances, lead to greater health and wealth for women and their children.

Most countries around the globe ban or restrict marriages to more than one spouse at a time. And polygyny is decried by the United Nations Human Rights Commission and women's rights organisations as discriminatory to women.

For the study, the researchers compared polygynous and monogamous households in 56 villages in northern Tanzania, where polygyny is widespread among certain ethnic groups, including the Maasai.

When comparing households within individual villages, polygynous households often had better access to food and healthier children.

Polygynous households also owned more cattle and farmed more land than monogamous households.

These findings support evolutionary anthropological accounts of marriage indicating that polygyny can be in a woman's strategic interest when women depend on men for resources.

"If you have a choice of a guy who has 180 cows, lots of land and other wives, it might be better for you to marry him rather than a guy who has no wives, three cows and one acre," said one of the researchers Monique Borgerhoff Mulder from University of California, Davis in the US.

The research highlight the importance of local context in studying the health implications of cultural practices, and suggest that in some settings, prohibiting polygyny could be disadvantageous to women by restricting their marriage options.

"The issue is not the number of partners," Borgerhoff Mulder said.

"Women should be assured the autonomy to make the decisions they want," she pointed out.

‘Give us Kanu or we’ll blow up a ship and kill the crew’ – Biafra ex-militants by cybermekx(m) : 2:02 am On Feb 01

A group of supposedly former militants has hijacked a ship off the Bakassi Peninsula coastline and threatened to blow it up along with its foreign crew if the detained Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu is not released.
The group of hijackers has given the federal government a 31-day ultimatum to release Kanu or deal with a destroyed ship and murdered crew.
The militants said they enjoy the support of local residents and of pro-Biafra agitators in the area.
The group’s spokesman, identified only as General Ben, even said the militants might not wait for the expiration of the 31-day ultimatum to carry out their murderous threat.

Dutch lawyer files complaint against Buhari by cybermekx(m) : 2:38 am On Feb 01

Dutch lawyer has filed a complaint against President Muhammadu Buhari at The Hague, accusing him of committing crimes against humanity, including murder and torture.

Newsweek reports that Goran Sluiter, a lawyer at Dutch human rights legal firm Prakken d’Oliveira, filed the complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague on Friday, January 29.

Speaking with journalists, Sluiter said that there has been “an intensification of violence and crimes committed against Biafrans since Mr Buhari became the Nigerian president.”

“Nigeria is already a long time on the agenda of the [ICC] prosecutor and Nigerian courts are not dealing at all with these crimes. The time really has come for the ICC to act.”

There have been numerous reports of pro-Biafra protesters being killed in clashes with Nigerian security forces during demonstrations.

The complaint was filed on behalf of 17 unnamed victims and alleges to set out evidence of crimes against humanity committed by security forces against pro-Biafran protesters.

Ndubuisi Osuala, the coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) branch in the Netherlands, stressed that Nnamdi Kanu should be released, while President Buhari has to be prosecuted.

“What every IPOB member, every Biafran citizen wants is the release of our great leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is a freedom fighter.

“Secondly, we need the International Criminal Court to bring justice and equity to our case…[President Buhari] has to be prosecuted and face the justice for what he did,” he said.

Calling for independence for Biafra, Osuala noted that his group seeking it by peaceful means.

“We need to get freedom by peace and that is why we are protesting. We are not terrorists, we are not killing people,” he stressed.

When contacted, Femi Adesina, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, declined to comment on the ICC case. He said that while Kanu’s case was ongoing, the presidency would rather not comment on the matter.

On Thursday, January 28, members of th IPOB stormed Brussels, the capital of Belgium (the headquarters of the European Union parliament) to protest the illegal detention of their leader and director of radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The protesters were demanding the unconditional release of Kanu and freedom for Biafra as an independent state.

APC condemns recent transfer of Rev. Father Mbaka by cybermekx(m) : 6:32 pm On Feb 01

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to reports that controversial cleric, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has been transferred by the leadership of the Catholic Church in Enugu.

The Enugu Parish leadership had reportedly transferred the fire-brand cleric from Christ the King Parish in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) of the state to Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the state and he had immediately cried out over the latest development.

Mbaka who is more prominent for his prophecies against the immediate past president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, had been in the now former parish for 20 years and is now required to work under a new priest at the Emene Parish.

But Vanguard reports that the spokesperson of the APC in the Southeast, Osita Okechukwu, has condemned the new move.

He said: “It was wrong to punish the fearless priest for his prophecies which has proved to be from God.”

While also expressing concern over Mbaka’s safety, the APC chieftain alleged that the transfer was influenced by outside forces, adding that worshippers may find it difficult to get to Emene for programmes of the Adoration Ministry.

“Whereas we accept that the transfer of priests is a routine exercise of the great Catholic Church, However we do not wholly accept a situation where the church allows external forces to influence transfers as the Mbaka’s case suggests.

“Otherwise, future liberation clergy who speak truth to power will be hamstrung to the detriment of the society.

“Our major concern is the security implications and the fate of his flocks who are mostly the downtrodden who may find it difficult to go to Emene for salvation and healing.

“We frown at anything which will put Fr. Mbaka in harms way or deny his flocks healing.”

“As a party, we have watched with concern and trepidation the criticism, attack, assault and unpleasant comments hurled at Fr. Mbaka since he providentially prophesied that President Buhari would win the 2015 elections.

“Even the Church did not spare him, he was called unprintable names, yet his prophecy came true. We are happy that Fr. Mbaka was vindicated.

“It must be pointed out that accusing fingers were pointed at the direction of some anti-Buhari elements like Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a group that didn’t want to hear the name of Buhari – even though Ohanaeze denied the allegation, doubt still persists.

“For we are still at a loss why a senior priest will be demoted to an assistant parish priest.

“We repeat that we are in solidarity with Fr. Mbaka and our major concern is the security of Fr. Mbaka and the suffering of his flocks, mostly the poor who need his healing powers.

“We had thought that His Lordship Bishop Calistus Onaga could have retained him at the Adoration Ground, as the Bishop Emeritus Gbuji did because of security of his life and easy access by his flocks,” he was quoted to have said.
