Military Responds to Sunday Igboho's Bandit Hunt Pledge by baba55(m) : 3:01 pm On Mar 04

The Nigerian Military has declared its readiness to collaborate with Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in combating banditry plaguing the Southwest region of Nigeria. Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, spokesman for Defence Media Operations, affirmed this stance, emphasizing the importance of involving military forces and other security agencies in addressing security challenges.

In response to escalating tensions, Igboho urged his supporters not to wait for government intervention but to take proactive measures against Fulani herders encroaching on farmlands. He called for unity in creating a regional security force to safeguard Yoruba land and expressed a commitment to pursuing the Yoruba Nation agenda through legal means.

In light of Igboho's statements, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba commended his initiative and assured him of military support if aimed at improving national security. However, he cautioned against disregarding the armed forces, emphasizing the need to uphold Nigeria's constitution.

"I have not seen the video where he made that statement, but one thing I must say is that people and communities are always welcome. If what he said is to make the situation better, he is welcomed, but if what he is saying is that we should disregard the armed forces of Nigeria, definitely, he is out of line because that is against Nigeria’s constitution," Maj.-Gen. Buba stated.

Writer Reno Omokri reveals why Moses Bliss married a woman from Ghana instead of Nigeria by baba55(m) : 3:00 pm On Mar 05

Controversial media personality Reno Omokri has expressed his views on why Nigerian gospel singer Moses Bliss opted to marry a woman from Ghana instead of his home country. Omokri highlighted his observations during a recent stay in Ghana, noting that Ghanaian women are generally easier to relate to compared to many women from Southern Nigeria.

Omokri emphasized that in Ghana, and in some other countries, women are capable of expressing love without expecting financial gain from men. He pointed out that this contrasts with the prevalent attitude in Southern Nigeria, where expressions of love are often associated with financial obligations. According to Omokri, this mentality leads to what he calls an "Industrial Money Obtainer culture" among Southern Nigerian women.

The media personality also speculated on the impact of visa restrictions on relationships. Omokri argued that if Nigeria had easier access to visas for other countries, there would likely be a surge in unmarried women within Nigeria. He suggested that Nigerian men, upon traveling within Africa and encountering women from countries where monetary considerations are less dominant, might develop a preference for such women over Nigerian women.

Omokri further called for a cultural reorientation, particularly among Southern Nigerian women, away from what he perceives as the excessive monetization of relationships. He criticized what he described as the suffocating level of commercialization of romance in Southern Nigeria and urged for a shift towards healthier attitudes towards love and relationships.

D’banj Apologizes to Ex-Mo’ Hits Members, Celebrates 20 years of Music by baba55(m) : 2:00 pm On Apr 25

D’banj, the ace Nigerian singer, has tendered an apology to the former members of Mo’ Hits Records.

Mo’ Hits Records was a Nigerian-based music record label owned by D’banj and Don Jazzy. It was founded in 2006. The label also signed artistes like Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch.

But in March 2012, Don Jazzy announced that D’banj had left the group.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Koko Master revealed that he will be putting out a track that “is dear to my heart” on Friday.

The singer also reminisced about his years in the music industry and the people who contributed to his growth.

D’banj praised his former Mo’ Hits mates for their achievements together over the years.

He also said he was done “blame gaming” while apologizing to former label mates to forgive him, “If you feel I wronged you at any time”.

“Next week Friday, I’m dropping a track that is dear to my heart. It might be the best track of my career so far. Been at this game since ‘04,” he wrote in a statement.

“When I look back at my journey as your favourite entertainer, many names pop up in my mind for their various contributions to D’banj. Today, I celebrate Mo’ Hits.. the group and our team.

“What a SOLID team we had. Don Jazzy, Wande Coal, Dr. Sid, D’Prince and Kay Switch. My brothers were piping hot!! Together we elevated this game and showed them things that could happen.

“I’ve spent many years focusing on the blame game but I’m not playing that game anymore. If you feel I wronged you at anytime, forgive me.

“The philosopher in me is grateful for everything that went right and those that went wrong. Without those things, we won’t all be the Kings we are today killing it in our different endeavours ????????.

“To all who have worked behind the scenes from Baba Are, Chuchu Lee, General Jay, Kamal, Bankuli , Ayo Sonaiya, Mozenge Lee, Cheekychizzy, Bizzle, Special Ed, Killz, Vanessa Amadi, Davin Phillips, Tonya Merit and everyone else, Banga is grateful. God bless us all.

“I love you all my Babylets, Kokolets, Mamalets and Kokomasters. Anticipate “Since ‘04” coming on 03/05. #20yoDB.”

D’banj recently celebrated 20 years in the creative industry.

Victony & Tredax – Unfamiliar Realms

“Unfamiliar Realms” Lyrics by Victony & Tredax

Verse 1: Tredax
Somebody help
Somebody help me please
Oh no no thanks
I think I’m fine by me
But would you help
I’m losing all the piece in me
Don’t know myself
I don’t know who I be

Chorus: Victony
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself another realm inside my head
Can’t tell me hell is not my residence
The devil’s here and then he plays with my intelligence
It’s quite a noise, it’s never s?ttling
I really say somebody help but I’ll b? negligent
They cannot tell the hell that’s happening
They cannot tell, they cannot tell

Verse 2: Tredax
It’s not a cry for help
So please don’t be sympathetic with me
Don’t know myself but still I’m happy with me
It’s not a cry for help
So please don’t be sympathetic with me
Don’t know myself but still I’m happy with me

Chorus: Victony
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself another realm inside my head
Can’t tell me hell is not my residence
The devil’s here and then he plays with my intelligence
It’s quite a noise, it’s never settling
I really say somebody help but I’ll be negligent
They cannot tell the hell that’s happening
They cannot tell, they cannot tell
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself
Don’t know myself another realm inside my head
Can’t tell me hell is not my residence
The devil’s here and then he plays with my intelligence
It’s quite a noise, it’s never settling
I really say somebody help but I’ll be negligent
They cannot tell the hell that’s happening
They cannot tell, they cannot tell
