Jamaican Prisoners to start having s*x in jail by Orunsolu(m) : 6:59 pm On Aug 05

The Minister of National Security in Jamaica, Robert Montague, has announced that prisoners in the country are to be allowed conjugal visits.
According to The Observer newspaper, the Minister, who caused uproar on social media after his announcement, made this known while addressing participants at a Diaspora Conference in Kingston.
The Minister said he believes that allowing inmates to have sexual relations with their partners will be beneficial; adding that it was a ‘Christian thing’ to do.
He said: “I am determined and insistent that we are going to start conjugal visits and some persons ask me why, but we must treat (incarcerated persons) in a humane way.
“A lot of us (say) that we are Christians; but true Christianity is when you do for the least among us, so we are working on that.”

Following the announcement, human rights advocacy group known as, ‘Stand Up for Jamaica’ endorsed the plans to introduce conjugal visits in correctional facilities.

In a press statement, the group said it believes the move will help to further advance the rehabilitation of inmates.

According to the group, the increasing rehabilitation programmes in correctional institutions is critical in addressing some of the root causes of crime and changing the negative attitudes which make it difficult for offenders to return to the society as productive members.
It said: “conjugal visits will allow inmates to reconnect with their wives and strengthen their bond with their families.”

Another human right group, Jamaicans for Justice, has also supported to the plan to introduce conjugal visits in correctional facilities.

“Despacito ft. Daddy Yankee” by Luis Fonsi is not only the most transmitted song of all time, it is also the most viewed YouTube video, surpassing the more than 3 billion reproductions on the video site owned by Alphabet.
Wiz Khalifa’s most-watched video, “See You Again,” held the crown for just over three weeks, although the reign of Despacito is likely to be much longer given how quickly he has mastered the service.

The video clip in Spanish has managed to accumulate this incredible amount of views in less than seven months, much faster than the 26 months that took the song of Wiz Khalifa to surpass the “Style Gangnam” of Psy. Since its launch on January 12, it has seen nearly 15 million times a day, or 170 times per second. A remixed version of “Despacito” with Justin Bieber has almost 500 million hits as well.
The importance of Spanish video of all time is in Spanish, which demonstrates the global reach of YouTube. YouTube announced this summer that it has more than 1.5 billion users connected monthly observing an average of one hour per day of mobile video.

Aunty!!! Check here to see why You’re Still Single by Orunsolu(m) : 9:17 am On Aug 06

The first step in changing your relationship status is first knowing why you can’t seem to find love.
“I have been single for a while due to complicated issues like i date out of pity, i have problem with commitment and i just make silly mistakes. Sometimes it best so lonely even tho i get some regular flings, friends with benefits and all but there’s no one i can actually call my own or talk to when i’m alone.
Getting a partner for me isn’t that hard but the problem is i’m not in love with anybody and i don’t want to hurt anyone anymore but the loneliness sometimes is overwhelming”
This has always been the dilemma of every single person out there, sometimes it gets too much we Just wished we knew the reasons we have remained single for a while.

1. Love is not your priority.

You think about dating here and there, but you are not going out on dates regularly. You spend too much time thinking about work, going to gym. You say you’re busy, but in reality you’re not prioritizing this part of your life. If you met an amazing person today you would spend hours, maybe even days with him/her so why not put some of this time into finding that special someone?

2. You don’t believe you deserve to give and receive love.

You think the only people who deserve love have already found it. You think to yourself, “Oh, she’s so pretty and nice she deserves a great guy.” But so do you! You just have to believe it and know what you have to offer. There is someone out there looking for the exact qualities you have, you just don’t know how to show them off.

3. You’re looking for qualities in a man instead of qualities of the relationship.

Stop making a never-ending list of qualities to look for in a guy. What’s important is the relationship. Think of what you want in a relationship or with your partner, not just the qualities of that person.

4. You have the wrong expectations.

You’ve created a picture in your mind of what dating “should be.” Maybe you thought this was productive, like goal setting, but really you’re only limiting yourself to what is out there. You are setting yourself up for disappointment by creating these expectations in the first place.

5. You aren’t setting yourself up for the best possible relationship.

Get out there! If you like an athletic guy, go to the gym; if you like a guy who reads, join a book club. Knowing who you’re looking for is crucial for changing this. Finding the right guy is more important than just meeting anyone.

Knowing why you’re single is the first step to changing your love life. You’re ready to make a change. Why not work on these issues and see the difference.

Christian Social responsibility; The true measure of Christians holiness – Read Now by Orunsolu(m) : 1:24 am On Aug 07

The ministry of social responsibility of the Church is a dimension of Christian holiness. While holiness is often linked to the life of the individual, the holiness of the Scriptures is more than personal. Individual attitudes and actions are closely linked to social relationships and responsibilities. The Gospel calls for the transformation of individuals and of society. There is no sanctity but “social holiness”.

Christian virtues, including the “fruit of the spirit” (Galatians 5: 22-23), are often understood as referring to individuals, but grace, love, joy, peace, patience, Goodness, etc. Consequently, global Christian social responsibility involves not only critical or “negative” or “prophetic” statements (although a “negative” assessment may in fact be an essential part of a very positive approach), but also a demonstration way of life. The elimination of war, injustice and inequality is an essential element of our social responsibility, but their absence is not the same as peace, justice or equality in biblical and plenary meaning Which involves the presence of God and the life and values of the Kingdom.

By criticizing social attitudes, behaviors and policies that are contrary to the gospel, defending and supporting values and actions that are compatible with it, there is no intention to impose on society, Force The adoption of all Christian values or seek the control of the Church. Social or government offices. Nevertheless, the Church offers the Gospel and its values to society, promotes them and does everything they can to strive to see the Gospel lived in every way and to bring glory to God.
To do this, there are four dimensions of life and community that must continually be brought closer together.

First, there is the individual dimension of each person’s relationship with God in Jesus Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit: hearts receive the love of God (Romans 5: 5), lives are transformed. (Romans 12: (Gal. 5:25) Without this relationship with God in Christ, all attempts to develop Christian social responsibility are well intentioned but ultimately futile.

Second, true Christian social responsibility will involve “works of mercy”, that is, practical care for individuals and families, following the example of Jesus and the apostles (Matthew 25: 31-45; One of you said to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat as you please,” and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? “(James 2:15).

Third, Christian social responsibility does not only apply to specific situations as they arise, but also to the social and structural causes of these problems. Removing the causes of human needs means seeking justice in the social, political and economic spheres. It may be a direct challenge to an unjust policy or law or, as the Apostle Paul did in his call to Philemon concerning his slave Onesimus, by an indirect call to life according to Christian principles (Philemon 4-16 ).

Finally, we must examine the ideological foundations that produce the structures, actions and attitudes of a society. Paul, for example, in his critique of Colossian society (eg Col 2: 6-23). This necessarily involves the church in a thorough process of self-examination because cultural influences and principles that are hostile to the gospel can be absorbed into the thought of the church. For example, in recent times, good words and concepts such as diversity, discrimination, compassion, inclusiveness and tolerance have been changed in meaning and emphasis in order to undermine the Church’s understanding of social responsibility. Committing to these four levels is not easy, but it is essential.

The principles of social responsibility are therefore not based on abstract reasoning, cultural presuppositions or perceptions of needs that operate in any way, independently of biblical testimony, because the life of the Church, including its understanding Of the social responsibility, Jesus Christ and “on the way Christ nourishes the Church with the word and the sacraments”. Moreover, the Church “has the gift of the Spirit not to lose the way”. In this way the basis of the Union provides a solid basis for understanding the character of the church’s social responsibility “built on the Lord Jesus Christ alone”.

5 Top Artistes Who Have No Hit Song In 2017 by Orunsolu(m) : 8:57 am On Aug 11

The music scene has become more competitive with the influx of young talented artists like Wizkid, Davido,Olamide, Falz, Yemi Alade, Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Patoranking, Kiss Daniel, Ycee, Reekado Banks, Runtown, Small doctor, Tekno ,to mention just a few giving some big names in the industry a good run for their money. But it seems some notable artistes are yet to have made any hit song this year even though some of them have released some singles and even collaborated with other fellow entertainers. Below is a list of some A-List artistes who have no hit track to their names.

1. D’banj

The Koko master is arguably the biggest artist in Nigeria in the last 10 years. When he first debuted with his label mate and partner Don Jazzy. It was a partnership made in Heaven.

D’banj was releasing hit upon hits – Tongolo, Why me, Fall in Love, suddenly ,Igwe ,Pere were all national anthems then no wedding or party was complete without playing Dbanj’s song.He was the biggest artiste in Africa. He even had a collabo with American Superstar Snoop Dogg .The kokomaster went international with the release of his song Oliver Twist cementing his status as Africa’s Micheal Jackson. Things began to go downhill when he left Mohits records, like a pack of cards his career began to crumble. Last year he made a brief comeback with his song Emergency, it was a temporal relief and his fans expected him to maintain the tempo. While he still has some star quality based on his numerous endorsement deals,he has not done any song that is enjoying massive airplay and the year 2017 is almost gone. The Koko Master is loved by many no doubt and it is hoped that he will use his koko to bring something out soon.

2. MI Abaga

Mr Incredible popularly rose to fame in 2006 with his song Crowd Mentality. MI with his fellow label mates Ice Prince; Jesse Jagz redefined rap music in Nigeria which was going extinct.

His song Safe is regarded as one of the best rap songs by an African. His style of rap is likened to Kanye West as his delivery and punch lines are second to none in Nigeria. After the success of safe, he released some hit bangers like One Naira, Africa Rapper Number one, Action Film, Bad Belle and Bullion van.His last album Chairman won the best Rap Album in last year’s Headies Award. But it seems that the ‘Chairman’ as he is fondly called by his fans and contemporaries has forgotten that he has a huge follower who believed in his charismatic presentations of lyrics. As one of the best MCs in the hip hop genre,he has a bigger crowed than most of his equals. But 2017 has not really seen the vibes coming from him. It is believed he would drop something for us that would make the industry and fans crave for more.

3. Iyanya

After the release of ‘Kukere,’ the Calabar born artiste who won the first edition of Project Fame could do no wrong. He followed it up with your waist, Sexy Mama, Lekwe Ukwu, What’s your flavor, Mr Oreo amongst others. In 2017, he has not really had a fair deal in the music industry.

Maybe that informed his decision to team up with Mavin to revive his career. 2017 has not been great for our man, but the Mavin Crew are known for hit songs and as part of the crew, we expect him to drop something that would continue to enjoy massive airplay to the admiration of his female fans.

4. Ice Prince

This artiste who due to his hit songs was nominated for LEADERSHIP Artiste of the Year came into limelight with Oleku and the song was regarded as one of the top 10 most played songs in the last decade. After the success of Oleku, he subsequently released other songs that have hit the airwaves like Super star, Whiskey, Tears for Naija, That could be us and Magician. In 2017, most fans would be forgiven to think Ice Prince is an upcoming act as he has been completely relegated to the background. His releases this year and features include ;Magic, Successful,OD Woods with Vector,Bless my way, Bam Bam, All Night Long , Satisfy and a host of others. Since he left Chocolate City, he has not really showed fans that he is a strong force to be reckoned. The Oleku crooner needs to release a hit song before the year runs out as his fans are patiently hoping and waiting for him to dominate the airwaves once again.

5. Cynthia Morgan

With the release of don’t break my heart, the industry knew that Cythnthia Morgan has come to stay in the Nigerian Music Industry. Her brand and style of music was fresh and Nigerians were happy we have found our own Queen Patra.

Subsequently when she dropped German Juice, she confirmed her status as an A- list artist. She also had some good songs like drops That Baby Mama, Olowo, Lead me On, I am Taken, Come and Do, In Love, Bubble up, Money, Twerk It, Kiss and Tell, Hey Boy, Up and Down With In love and No Cameras.

So far, she has been gradually fadinginto obscurity as we are yet to hear a hit banger from our Ragga queen .Maybe she is cooking something in the studio that would sweep us off our feet.
