he Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has caved in to protests that it had prevented many candidates to register for the forthcoming 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), by shutting down its online registration portal.
 Although the body had dismissed the protest as wrong-headed, in a statement today, it said it is giving a 48-hour extension for applicants to complete registration process. JAMB will reopen its website between 12 midnight on Tuesday and 12 midnight on Thursday to allow applicants complete their registration process for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
