[VIDEO] ‘Let’s Bring Nigeria As A Cake, Bring A Big Knife And Share The Cake’ – Bishop Innocent Ordu by starboy247(: 1:48 pm

In his reaction to former vice president, Atiku Abubakar’s stand that Nigeria should be embrace restructuring, the Anglican Bishop of Evo Diocese, Rt Rev Innocent Ordu at the Diocese’s Synod, said that a nation without discipline is dead on arrival.

In his postulations Rev. Ordu pointed at discipline as the hub of socio-political development, growth, equity and unity in every nation. According to him “We cannot run away from the reality that ‘Nigeria has to be restructured’.

Whether it is a restructuring that gives more power’s to states, or return regional arrangement of the past or the restructuring that allows part of the country that wants to go and stand as an independent nation, whatever that restructuring mean ‘we must not run away from it’.

Biafra: ‘I Am Coming To Lagos And Kaduna In Full Force, Nnamdi Kanu Says In New Video

“And our position as Bishops is that if we continue to pretend that all is well, we will keep bleeding, profusely and very soon there might be nothing called Nigeria. “Instead of Killing ourselves under the pretense of remaining one indivisible nation as some would say that ‘Nigeria unity is non-negotiable’, I want to say it here that it is negotiable. “This thing is like marriage, you don’t force two people to get married. We have been forced into a marriage that is hurting us.

Every day we are dying and pretending to be one. Please instead of killing ourselves and there will be no Nigerian left, let’s come to a round table, bring Nigeria as a cake, bring one big knife and share the cake, he repeatedly said.

I believe if Nigeria is restructured we will develop better. I believe if Nigeria is restructured we will respect one another. So let us not pretend to be one when we are not one. Can two work together except they have agreed?

Our leaders must shun all forms of hypocrisy and support this move. From the architecture of this problem those waiting for the agitation to go away may wait forever. The time to act is now! He said.

Recall that Atiku in his lecture at the University of Nigeria Nsukka said that, “The Restructuring I want to see happen is changing the structure of our country to take power from the elite and give it back to whom it belongs: the people. It will help to bring the benefits of the change that our people were promised in the last general elections.

“The whole purpose of restructuring is to eliminate those policies that feed the mindset that drives the sharing behavior. “Our national wealth is being drained by a select few instead of building a country for all of us. It has to end. “We need to return resources and power back to the local level and from the elite to the people. “Only by restructuring we can guarantee unity, equity, security for our nation”. Can their position on restructuring be the solution to Nigeria problems?
