Manchester United and England defender Luke Shaw has supported Harry Maguire after he made another costly mistake in their game against Germany.

England faced Germany in their final game in the Nations League competition and it ended in a 3-3 draw. However, the score line would have been favorable for England if not for mistakes from their players – Harry Maguire and Nick Pope.

Maguire lost possession which led to Germany’s second goal and also a penalty that gave them their goal. Speaking after the game, Luke Shaw said that Harry Maguire is an amazing player with amazing character.

“He’s taken a lot of stick – probably more than I’ve ever seen before in football.

“He never hides away, he’s always there. You can have people who can hide away and not want to be in the spotlight. He keeps putting himself in the spotlight, it shows the strength and character he’s got.
