Eid Mubarak: Muslims Celebrate Eid-al-Fitri Amid Coronavirus by Vlad(m) : 8:01 am |
Muslims, the world over, are celebrating Eid Mubarak which signifies the end of the month of fasting known as Ramadan, Igbere TV reports. Igbere TV reports that with many nations across the world still under lockdown, millions of Muslims have been forced to celebrate this year’s Sallah in their houses to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease. Leader of Nigerian Muslims, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Sa’ad Abubakar, had asked Nigerian Muslims to observe the congregational prayers for this year’s Eid-el-Fitri in their homes. Abubakar also suspended all prayers, gatherings in the outskirts of towns and cities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
