OAP Melody Hassan has taken a swipe at Naira Marley and his followers over his new song PUTA, which she said is supporting violence against women in the society.
In a post she made on twitter, the OAP gave the meaning of the word PUTA, which she translated into English language as bitch or whore.
PUTA is a derogatory word, it means â€whore†, “bitchâ€. Good morning to all the marlians, send my love to your leader. Y’all are doing great.
Do we realise we live in a country that has a dangerous attitude towards sexual harassment & women’s safety is not d most important thing? No view, dance, lyrics that ‘might’ enable sexual violence should b applauded or normalised. Where are y’all signing up to b marlians plix?
While reacting to her post, a supposed Naira Marley fan mentioned that the fact that the singer used the word doesnt imply that he was supporting violence against women, as it was just for the culture.
