It was indeed a moment of crucial deliberations for progress, as the Coalition of APC Candidates for the 2019 Anambra State House of Assembly election recently paid a courtesy visit to the National Auditor of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief George Muoghalu (Ohamadike).
The meeting which had in attendance, all the members from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state featured deliberations bordering on having the group aligned to the party, both at the state and national levels, among other salient issues.
In his opening speech, the state Coordinator of the group, Hon. Paul Ezeobi disclosed that the primary reason of the visit was to identify with the host, Chief Muoghalu, as well as discuss certain pertinent issues that will contribute to the overall progress of the party.
He noted that the members of the group have felt abandoned and uncared-for, during and even after the election, being also one of the reasons why the state chapter of the party recently invited the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo to a Roundtable Discussion in Awka, during which such issues as that were also raised and deliberated on.
Thanking Chief Muoghalu for the uncommon support he gave to them during the time of election, Hon. Ezeobi further urged the host to do more for them especially in facilitating the fulfilment of the recent promise made to them in ensuring that they are made Coordinators of the various National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) of the federal government in their respective constituencies, which he noted, will can in turn enable and give them the opportunity to empower the grass root populace, who regularly seek and yawn for their assistants. This, he confessed, will also help them to win more souls for party, mobilize and win the support of the people at the grassroots level, thereby helping the party to excel far better in her subsequent election.
Responding, Cheif Muoghalu extolled the members of the group for their loyalty and faithfulness to the party, both before, during and after the election, which he noted was a proof that they actually understand what it means to be a true and dedicated party member.
He consequently confessed his continuous and unreserved support to the group and promised to help convey their requests to the concerned authority and ensure they are given maximum attention. As a group with mission, he further tasked them on peace and unity, without which, he said it may be too difficult for them to achieve their objectives, even as he reiterated his promise to forward and follow up their requests and ensure they are given the deserved swift consideration.
