The Coalition of APC Candidates for the 2019 Anambra State House of Assembly election has felicitated with Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige on his 67th birthday today, and described him as a blessing to nation.

This joyful felicitation was registered in a in statement issued by the state Coordinator of the Coalition, Hon. Paul Ezeobi who also noted that the Anambra-born Statesman has been a pride of the state, and a source of progress to the country, given that he has given and still gives his best to the service of the nation.

The group in the statement further congratulated Dr. Ngige on his recent confirmation by the Senate as the minister of Labour and Employment following his reappointment into the position by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Wishing him more fecund and legacy-filled years, the group prayed for more of God's wisdom and strength upon him as celebrate his day and in his patriotic contributions towards moving the development wheel of the country to the next level.

Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige was born on 8th August 1952 in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was the Executive Governor of the State from 29 May 2003 to 17 March 2006, after which he got elected as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011, representing the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, till 2015, when President Buhari first appointed him a minister of Labour and Employment, the well-deseved appointment which was also replicated this year 2019.
