President Muhammadu Buhari has made 23 new appointments in agencies in the Federal Ministries of Health, Information and Culture, Education, Power, Works, and Housing, and Resident Elect0ral Commissioners in the Independent National Elect0ral Commission (INEC).
Premium Times reports that the president urged them “to reinvigorate the agencies in the delivery on their mandates through a renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and service delivery with integrity.â€
The approval also included appointment of some rectors to some federal polytechnics.

Meanwhile, President Buhari on Tuesday, April 10, written the Senate to confirm Festus Okoye as National Commissioner for the Independent National Elect0ral Commission (INEC).
Premium Times reports that Okoye is among 26 new appointees the president wrote, in separate letters, to the Senate for confirmation.
President Buhari’s request on Okoye was contained in a letter read by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, shortly before the Senate adjourned plenary on Tuesday, April 10.
