It might be surprising but definitely interesting to know that lies actually have classifications and not all lies are the same; there are indeed different kinds of lies.

1. White Lies
This is often believed as the least serious kind of lie. These type of lies are told to avoid burdening an individual with the weight of the truth. An example is showing appreciation for an undesirable gift. These lies are indeed quite harmless but the problem is over time the white liar loses credibility and is dismissed as an insincere person.

2. The Bold-Faced Lie
These lies are common with children, but when an adult does it, it’s just plain annoying. In a bold-faced lie, the liar says something everyone knows is false but stands by it as the truth (regardless of how obvious the lie is). People tend to be resentful of bold-faced lies because of how belittling of time and intelligence it is.

3. Exaggerated Lies
Here the truth is usually mixed with untruth to make the liar look impressive to others. The funny part is the exaggerator will sometimes weave truth and lies in a way that confuses even themselves. Unfortunately, at some point the exaggerator begins to believe these lies that no one else might even believe. It’s truly tragic.

4. Deceptive Lies
This might seem like tautology but it isn’t. A deceptive lie is one where the deceiver creates a false impression with truth, either by not telling all the facts or recounting the facts in a misleading way. It’s quite impressive actually and unfortunately people tend to believe these lies. These lies are subtle, yet powerful, hurtful and even deadly.

5. Compulsive Lies
These lies are either caused by low self-esteem or the need for attention. Compulsive liars tell lies even when telling the truth will be easier and better; what matters most to them is the attention the lies will give them. It’s quite ridiculous and at the same time extremely tragic. Compulsive liars typically find it difficult to stop lying as it is more of an addiction for them.

6. Lies of Fabrication
This involves presenting something you are not sure of, as the truth. Gossip blogs are fond of this. These lies are very hurtful and damaging, they typically lead to rumours that put others in danger or damage the reputation of others. Gossips and rumour mongers are the people typically associated with these lies.

7. Duplicitous Lies
These lies are typical of people who break spoken promises and commitments. Duplicitous liars typically hide their true feelings and intentions behind false actions and words. These liars cause great damage to others. Unfortunately, they are quite difficult to identify until they’ve disappointed. One way to protect yourself is to try to speak to people who have previously known the person to know if the person is generally associated with broken promises and commitments, so you can be careful.

Management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has said that operatives from the Nigeria Police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related offences Commission, ICPC, will monitor the examination centres in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UMTE.

Also to mount surveillance at the 624 centres nationwide on Saturday are operatives from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the Department of State Services, DSS and special security forces to ensure a smooth exercise.



 The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede who disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja, said each test centre will have a supervisor, a technical officer, a verification officer, three proctors as well as security agents.

 He further stated that, “Each state will be superintended over by a head of a tertiary institution (Vice-Chancellor, Rector or Provost) who coordinates the supervisors under his or her jurisdiction.


” Stating that the UTME will not be business as usual, Oloyede declared, “it is certainly not going to be business as usual in the conduct of the Board’s examination and other processes.

 “In line with this resolution, the Board had secured through diligent prosecution, the conviction of two Nigerians who forged the Board’s results and came around for verification. “At the moment, we have lodged complaints against a number of Computer-Based Test, CBT, centre owners for one infraction or the other and a number of them were arrested, cautioned, while others are to be prosecuted so as to serve as a deterrent to others.'

 The JAMB Registrar warned candidates not to fall for the ploy of fraudsters who he said were out to defraud them, noting that there was a case at the Federal Government Science Technical College, Orozo, at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, where somebody was sending bulk messages to candidates to come and reprint their slips claiming to be from JAMB...

Two Nigerians have been shot dead in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Mike Ibitoye, chairman of the Nigeria union in South Africa, disclosed this to NAN via telephone from Cape Town. He said the deceased were shot by yet to be identified assailants.
“Mr Ernest Ughakwesili, 42, native of Nkpor, Idemili north local government area of Anambra state, was shot in a night club by gunmen at Strand Area of Cape Town on Sunday,” he said. “The assailants escaped after the shooting and the victim died before being rushed to the hospital.”

Ibitoye also said the second victim, Chimezie Oranusi, 26, from Oba town in Anambra State, was shot with a friend in a car at Delst area of Cape Town.

“The friend is a South African and is still in the hospital receiving treatment,” he said. “The incidents have been reported to the police and the national secretariat of the union.”

The chairman said the motive behind the shootings had not been ascertained, adding that the police had commenced investigation.

A bizarre hunt has been launched to identify a man pictured smiling as he mounted on a dead shark while naked.

Animal welfare campaigners have branded the picture “disrespectful” to the shark and said the man should be quizzed over his “humiliating” behaviour.

The disturbing image shows the man grinning as he lies on top of the creature and hugs it on what looks like a fishing boat.

The photograph was shared by wildlife presenter Anneka Svenska who tweeted.

A 22-year old man, Onyeka Mba has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for his involvement in breaking into the anti-robbery section of a Police Station and stealing money, phones and others valuable belonging to officers.

The incident happened at Olosan police division in Mushin, Lagos. According to police, during the attack, officers including Femi Elebute and Shittu Babatunde lost their money and phones. It was gathered that some gang of robbers arrested were brought into the station in the night and while some officers attached to the station went out on patrol, the robbers ransacked the whole place in search of valuables and escaped.

Each time she puts on an outfit,the first thing she does is to ask me whether I like it. I dont mind if I dont buy new things for myself. I can make that sacrifice as long as my wife and my kids are looking good.
People dont care about how many bottles of beer you drink daily,the type of car you drive,whether you live in banana Island or you work in an oil company. Once they see how your wife and kids look,they can be able to tell the kind of person you are.
