Photos Of Miracle Baby Born With Her Heart Outside Her Chest(Viewers Discretion) by Scapoos(m) : 12:42 am On Mar 26

The parents of a baby girl who was born with her heart beating outside her chest have made a desperate plea for help so she can receive life-saving surgery abroad. Little Laraib Zahid was born naturally in in a government-run hospital in Pakistan’s Multan city earlier this month.

The tiny tot seems otherwise healthy – she breathes normally and is active – but doctors are baffled as to why her heart is not inside her body. Her doctors have reassured her parents that her heart is functioning normally, but she urgently needs an operation to place it inside her body.

Mum, Shaista Zahida, 22, had a complication free birth and no one had predicted baby Laraib would be born with such a rare condition.

Dr Ibrahim Ansari said: “In my long career, I have never seen a newborn with such a rare condition.

“Except the heart being outside her chest, the baby looks normal. She breathes normally and is active. “The baby may survive if paediatric surgeons can operate on her.”

Both Shaista and her husband, Zahid Baloch, 28, a taxi driver, are devastated with their firstborn’s condition and hoping for a miracle that could save her.

Baloch has pleaded for help from the Pakistan government so that his baby can be taken outside the country for a surgery.

"I Have Forgiven Her" -- Says Man Whose Girlfriend Attacked With Acid. Photo by Scapoos(m) : 12:49 am On Mar 26

Iniubong Ime, 24, a victim of an acid attack allegedly carried out by his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Lucy Daniel has revealed that he has no hard feelings for girlfriend after the attack which landed him in a hospital...

He spoke to Daily Trust on his ordeal. Read below;

Daily Trust: How was your relationship with ex-girlfriend Lucy like?

Iniubong Ime: We dated for about a year and I discovered she is a troublesome person. She was causing trouble between me and my mother, my siblings and my friends, she caused trouble between me and everyone close to me, and succeeded in driving people away from me. So I decided to quit. She initially left but later started coming back, pleading that I should accommodate her, and that she wasn’t working and didn’t have anywhere to stay. Rather than accommodate her, I got her a job and also rented an apartment for her.

Thereafter, I told her that I had gone beyond my ability and she could continue her life from there. I pleaded with her to understand that we could no longer date. That was last year. She relaxed for a while and this year, she started coming around again. She would come at ungodly hours, so I told her that I didn’t welcome such visits and whenever she came around I would send her back.

DT: How did she take it?

Ime: Of course, not peacefully. Even when she wasn’t coming around, she was always monitoring my movement and I knew it. But I didn’t bother because I had nothing to do with her anymore. Sometimes, when she spots me with anyone, male or female, she wouldn’t care to know who the person was and would just begin to insult them.

DT: How did the acid attack happen?

Ime: On Monday, March 6, 2017, I went to bed early but was woken up by a sound outside my door at about midnight. When I woke up I saw that my window net had been torn and I decided to find out who was at the door. When I opened the door, I saw it was Lucy, and before I could say anything she splashed the acid on me and ran away. I was in serious pain, and the burns on my body are severe. The only thing I could do at that point was to rush to a bucket of water which I usually kept in my room and poured it on myself with the hope that it would ease the pain. I then began shouting for help and people started coming out, including my siblings who were in the next apartment. They brought me to the hospital.

DT: After the incident, what was the reaction of her family?

Ime: Her mother was very angry. She is still not feeling well because she is hypertensive, so I can understand with her. She called me and said she would have nothing to do with Lucy henceforth. I was even told that the mother made efforts and apprehended her, took her to a local government chairman and was to be handed over to the police the next day. I don’t know what the chairman did and Lucy escaped from his custody. She’s still at large.

My aunt has since reported to the police. But our major concern now is for me to recover. My treatment bills are being footed by my family and friends and it has not been easy. You know that injuries of this magnitude need a lot of care and money. So, I will appreciate if government at any level, interest groups and kind-hearted individuals can come to my aid so that I can recover.

DT: When you recover, will you seek vengeance?

Ime: That wouldn’t solve anything. I have decided to let it go and forgive her. In fact, I forgave her from the very day it happened. I thank God I’m still alive. I won’t take her back because I had long broken up with her before the incident. But I can relate normally with her. I have no hard feelings towards her. We won’t be lovers again, but she won’t be my enemy either.

DT: Did you at any point promise to marry her?

Ime: Not at all. I don’t make promises I cannot fulfill. I only told her that if we were meant for each other, destiny would bring us together. I however advised her that if she saw any other suitor, she could go ahead and marry him.

President Buhari Heads To Sambisa Forest On Monday.. by Scapoos(m) : 4:12 am On Mar 26

President Muhammadu Buhari is heading to the once dreaded Sambisa Forest on Monday to declare open the Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship, NASAC 2017. The insurgency group, Boko Haram, who at the peak of it’s siege on the nation occupied towns in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, made the Sambisa Forest their stronghold and strategic headquarters until they were pushed out by the military on Christmas eve, last year.

The military had subsequently declared the former game reserve as a proposed site for military institution, building roads into it and kick-starting the new status of Sambisa Forest with the hosting of the annual Small Arms Competition.

The competition which starts on Monday is expected to be hosted by Buhari. He is to be accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Alhaji Mansur Ali and Service Chiefs, Chief of Defense Staff, General Gabriel Olanisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Sadique and Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Obet Ebas, PUNCH reports.

The Chief of Training and Operations, Army, Major General David Amadu, during a press briefing on Friday in Maiduguri to kick-start the NASAC 2017 championship, said the championship would be formally declared open by the President on Monday.

He said the championship which drew to a close on Friday has lined up a chain of activities which would include medical outreach to Bama, Konduga, and Magumeri IDPs camps, educational training for Army Education Corps in Maiduguri , security awareness meetings with the traditional rulers and distribution of relief materials to IDPs within Maiduguri and surrounding towns.

Amadu added that the championship was aimed at testing and shaping the intelligence and professional capacity of the Nigerian Army officers and soldiers as well as equipment.

Chinese Man Moves His House After Government Threatened To Demolish It. Photos by Scapoos(m) : 4:16 am On Mar 26

A man in China was so determined to keep his house that he moved it 492 feet to avoid being demolished. Owners of 165 homes in Taixing City, China's Jiangsu province were told by the government that they would be demolished to make way for a new highway.

The relocation was completed on March 21, costing the man 120,000 yuan (£13,959), reports the People's Daily Online.

Villagers were told that their houses had to make way for a new provincial highway and were offered compensation.

But one villager decided that he did not want to part with his three-storey property, opting to move the entire house 150 metres costing 120,000 (£13,959). He was also compensated by the government for moving his house.

Relocating the property took two days and it was completed on March 21.

The house was moved by wooden rollers.

Images show the house in the process of moving as other villagers look on.

Why Murdered Air Force Lady Dumped Her Lover, Mum Reveals.. by Scapoos(m) : 7:06 pm On Mar 26

Mr. and Mrs. Tolani Oladipupo, parents of the slain aircrafts woman in the Nigerian Air Force, Solape Oladipupo, who was killed by her colleague and lover, Bernard Kalu on March 12, has revealed how the family made frantic effort to prevent the cruel fate that befell their late daughter after they received a prophecy, which warned deceased against engaging in any romantic relationship in her place of work.

Solape who was popularly known as Shomzy was murdered by her obsessed lover over the suspicion of infidelity in Makurdi, Benue State.

Mrs. Oladipupo told Sunday Sun in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State that the family received a prophecy warning the deceased against engaging in any relationship with anybody at her base in Makurdi, as such relationship could spell doom for her.

According to her, the late Solape who was already dating Kalu, her eventual killer before the prophecy, was said to be working towards extricating herself from the doomed relationship when she was murdered.

“We were given a prophecy in our church to tell her not to ever date anyone where she worked and we told her. That was when she decided to part ways with Kalu. We didn’t know it was going to lead to this. Even one of her uncles called her to tell her. I think that was how she took the bold step to tell Kalu she wasn’t interested in the relationship anymore. We didn’t know it would result in this. Her father and I gave her a stern warning not to ever get involved in any romantic relationship with anyone within her base,” she said.

Meanwhile, the slain aircrafts woman was, last Thursday, buried at the cemetery in Ojo Military Barracks, Ojo, Lagos. Her corpse was flown from the Makurdi Air Force Base to Lagos where family members and friends gathered to pay their last respects.

The deceased’s mother collapsed and fainted as the remains of her daughter was being lowered.

Speaking in an emotion-laden voice shortly after Solape’s remains were interred, the deceased’s father, Mr. Tolani Oladidupo, who described her death as a huge loss said getting justice for the deceased would be a major source of succour for the family.

“Her death is a huge loss to us and we can’t just express how much of pains and agony we share as a family over the death of Solape. You can see that I am just trying to be a man, pacifying my wife and children. I insist that what can provide a kind of succour to us as a family is to see government do something about the case.

“I can say her death is our own sacrifice to the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We cannot wake her up again and I am not here to trade my late daughter, but the government should do the needful,” he said, insisting on death penalty for his daughter’s killer.

Meanwhile, Sunday Sun reliably gathered that the deceased already has a five year-old daughter. Solape was said to have given birth to a girl, who currently lives with her parents, when she was 16 years old.

My late daughter had a kid, says mother of slain Air Force woman

How did you get the news of your daughter’s death?

When I received the new I became unconscious and fainted immediately. When I was resuscitated, it was still like a dream to me. I still spoke with her the day before she was murdered. I have lost over 70% weight, right now. When we were talking that night, she even said was going to speak with her daughter, and she did.

You mean she had a child already?

Yes (showing our reporter the child).
What’s the name of her child?
Her name is Bisola Ogunyemi.

And as it is now, how are you taking the loss?

The person who killed my daughter won’t go unpunished. He has said he was going to die too and he should be made to die. In a situation where Kalu’s family hires a lawyer to defend him, I will view it as an attempt to cheat us. I know justice would still prevail.

Did you have any premonition that such a thing would happen?

I have never thought I would lose anyone of them at all. In our church, we were given a prophecy to tell her not to ever date anyone where she worked and we told her. That was when she decided to part ways with Kalu. We didn’t know it was going to lead to this. Even one of her uncles called her to tell her. I think that was how she took the bold step to tell Kalu she wasn’t interested in the relationship any more. We didn’t know it would result in this. Her father and I gave her a stern warning not to ever get involved in any romantic relationship with anyone within her base. That was the prophecy we had. Yes, she told me about Kalu and that was why we had to accept one Sola, who was always calling me, although I have never met him.

Would you say you regret allowing your daughter join the military?
I won’t say that. No regret because the people there are humans too. There is no job that doesn’t come with its own risk. The rest there are humans too and some even grew very old on the job and retired. She had got an admission into the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education before she was recruited into the Nigerian Air Force.

So, you don’t have any regret whatsoever?

No, I don’t have any regret. In fact, I don’t mind if the government can compensate the family by recruiting some of her siblings into the military.
