'My wife is an incurable thief' by Whatelse(m) : 12:40 pm |
My name is Augustine, a 45-year-old man
who has been married for eight years, with two children. But as it stands, I have resolved to send my wife, Laura, packing because of the kind of disgrace she has been bringing to me and my family. I never knew I was married to a kleptomaniac and pathological liar » until she displayed her fast fingers by stealing my brother's dollars two years into our marriage. My younger brother, Ben, had come into the country with his family and wanted to stay in a hotel but I vehemently refused, saying they must stay with us since we lived in a large house. But two weeks into his stay, he discovered that his money was missing, a whopping $3,500. When he raised an alarm, I was shocked on how such a huge amount could be missing. I remembered vividly that the day the money went missing, Laura had been the only one in the house as Ben, his family and I had gone out to visit an uncle. My brother, being on the quiet side, did not want the matter to escalate. What he did was to quietly leave my house and moved into a hotel. I was very disturbed and questioned my wife but she vehemently denied ever going into Ben's room and even quarreled with me for wrongly accusing her. But a few days later when she was out of the house, I searched the house thoroughly and found the money well hidden in a shoe box in her wardrobe. When she came back, I confronted her and she broke down and begged me not to expose her. That was the beginning as she has gone ahead to embarrass me and my family several times with her stealing, including taking things she does not need from friends and family members. I can't count the number of times she has stolen money and other items from me, even things she does not need or could even ask me for them. She has been fired from two jobs because of her light fingers and all of these things make me so sad., we want you to advice Augustine on how to handle this issue.
