Trevor Noah has continued to inspire America with the story of his life, and that includes mega TV mogul, Oprah Winfrey, too!

On Tuesday, Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations aired on her network, OWN. In the episode she interviewed the Daily Show host, who said ‘it was a dream come true.’

Trevor also opened up about his mother, Patricia Noah (whom Oprah called his mother, “a badass warrior woman”, in a snippet posted on YouTube), and the impact she had on his life.

On Thursday morning, Oprah released yet another snippet from the show, punting its upcoming release on her WatchOWN app and on her Facebook page this Sunday. “This time Trevor is the one asking the big questions!” she captioned the post.

Oprah leads the pack of stars in new movie, A Wrinkle in Time, which is set to be released internationally this month. According to Fox, the movie’s director, Ava Duvernay, said making the film saved her in many ways from stewing and tweeting mean things to President Donald Trump.

And Oprah, who expressed that the movie is more appropriate now than ever, chatted to Trevor about tensions between partisan lines in the U.S, and why he loves the country.

“America is getting to a place where it feels like it is extremely divided along partisan lines,” says the 34 year old. “Conversations have shifted to a point where human beings no longer see human beings on the other side of this discussion.

“And it’s tough to say that one side should be empathetic towards the other side, when the other side doesn’t see them as human beings. And that’s a fundamental breakdown that seems to be happening in America.

“I tell people all the time. They go like, ‘oh if you hate America, why are [you here]?’

“If I didn’t love it I wouldn’t be here. This is great place, I enjoy America, I love Americans – I have a great time,” he says to an applause from the crowd, “if your character shifts depending on whose in power, then it was your character to begin with?’”
